There was renewed unrest you didn’t report.. Why ? It was nowhere as rosy as you painted it. Where were you and your friends located? » Posted By Kalima On August 19, 2014 @ 7:53 am We can voice an opinion on the failures of not voting in any town, but we don’t live there, or feel their history of oppression, so who are we to judge? Are any of us rolling up our sleeves to go there to help to empower them? Then why criticise what we don’t know for sure? We are not lawmakers, we can only vote in any country to make slow changes in policy. If the “we the people” were so powerful, then “we the people” would have taken to the streets by now to protest all over America. The people of Ferguson are not too tired or disorganised to vote, they are just too tired of discrimination and having to fight against it. Hence the continuing protests. Sometimes enough is really enough. The biggest shame that America faces is that those being discriminated against the most, are American citizens. I have no country to feel patriotic about, but consider myself to be a citizen of the world. Therefore what is happening in America is very painful and affects me too. » Posted By Kalima On August 19, 2014 @ 7:18 am The Roots Of Unrest In Ferguson, Explained In 2 Minutes
» Posted By Kalima On August 19, 2014 @ 12:47 am Exactly KT, it’s nonsense and thankfully won’t wash with most people. Those who believe it want to believe it and use it as an excuse for murder. Their brainwashing, ignorance and hate consumes them like a black hole. You can’t even feel sorry for these uninformed people anymore, it’s who they choose to be. » Posted By Kalima On August 19, 2014 @ 12:17 am Hello monica. The latest finding is that he had mj in his system and I say, so what? I have never witnessed anyone who became violent from smoking weed. I hope that more videos like this come to light because the police don’t have a leg to stand on. Read that the President is sending Eric Holder to Ferguson. Maybe the investigation will progress quicker now. Have to dash. See you later and take care. » Posted By Kalima On August 18, 2014 @ 4:17 pm I don’t know if anyone has posted this already as I’m in a bit of a rush to go out, but this is really shocking. I don’t have a President, I’m a German born of Swedish and Estonian heritage, naturalised Brit living for over 30 years in Asia. I understand the feelings about extremists in any religion because I share them, but this article has nothing to do with Hamas. If I were you, living in America, I would be more afraid and angry with the Religious Right who actually are trying and succeeding to make Americans convert to their crazy religious beliefs by using politicians to bring about legislation that take away your rights and your freedom every time they vote. The other extremists are on the other side of the world and won’t be coming to your neighbourhood any time in the future. No, I don’t want to delete your comment, I just wanted you to be aware of our policy on harsh speech against any religious group. For instance, I have been a Roman Catholic all of my life, my family too. Does that make me a paedophile? Maybe it’s not your intention but it does sometimes sound as if you are venting against all Muslims. I accept your explanation. » Posted By Kalima On August 13, 2014 @ 6:22 pm I do not understand your anger, ExFan. Did you understand what AdLib’s post was about? This article is not about Gaza or Israel. What is happening in Iraq is the direct cause of an illegal war and upheaval caused by bush and his cronies. This was a humanitarian effort and has nothing to do with the people who were saved by the strikes being Muslims. You are being brainwashed into believing that women and children were used as human shields in Gaza. At least three people here, including me, have explained why that was propaganda from Israel to excuse the high numbers of civilian deaths, but you are free to believe what you want to believe. Aid groups on the ground during the slaughter have firmly denied this claim by Israel. Are you saying that these aid groups and Doctors Without Borders are all lying? Please do not lump every Muslim in your “to hate” group, there are more good people than bad people in every religion. For your information and just to be clear, the following is part of The Planet’s “Terms of Use”. No Hate Speech or Threats » Posted By Kalima On August 12, 2014 @ 11:29 pm Excellent article, AdLib. We get it. They don’t want to. It’s much more profitable to throw shit at the walls to see what sticks there. Your msm, faux Dems, and a few Repubs should just STFU. Have they forgotten who started this chaos in the first place? I’m sure they must have. (Snark) I have to seriously wonder about the Dems. Do they really want GOP control of the Senate? Is a country and government running smoothly just too boring? Do they need the drama when it could mean the life or death of their fellow countrymen and women? Would they have preferred a President McCain or President Romney? When I hear and read all the crap, it’s hard to draw any other conclusion than that maybe they would have. Maliki was a weak puppet installed by the bush cartel. His motives were never to join forces in Iraq with opposition factions, his motives and agenda was for revenge for the years of oppression under Hussein. He crushed the voices in the government who might have been moderate enough to stop the forming of insurgent groups, and ISIS is the direct consequence of his 8 years of bad leadership. What your President did was the right thing to do, and for those dumb enough to criticise and compare him to bush, I’ll keep it simple. He ordered the strikes to save lives, not to take lives, and there is the difference. Saving the lives of close to 40,000 to 50,000 helpless people from immediate genocide can never compare to an invasion, an illegal invasion at that, and bombing the hell out of them as they slept, torturing them or killing whole families for sport. President Obama should be praised for his quick action in saving lives, not dragged through the trenches while the bush criminals responsible write books of untruths, paint rubbish in their bathrooms, and rant endless lies and pure bs on the tv. More than five years later, Obama is still cleaning up the mess left behind by the bush criminals. There should be no biography written about these murdering for profit crooks, just take a look at Iraq and you will find their legacy there. —- Islamic State killed 500 Yazidis and buried some victims alive, Iraq minister says —- John Kerry insists any US moves in Iraq will not involve combat troops Secretary of state says the US will look to ‘additional options’ to help stabilise a new government, but not troops http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/aug/12/john-kerry-insists-us-iraq-not-involve-combat-troops Had the world moved more quickly, there might never have been so many people butchered through genocide in Rwanda, Dafur and even Syria. I commend the President for taking this action, and condemn those immoral people who speak against it just to make a political game out of the suffering of others. Shame on you!! » Posted By Kalima On August 11, 2014 @ 10:51 pm Video from Canada On Fukushima 😆 That’s too funny and very honest. Thanks a bunch!! » Posted By Kalima On August 13, 2014 @ 6:32 pm Hello Nirek. Well now many countries have an excuse for every mistake and for ruining their own environment and waters. Just blame every finding of radioactivity in the ocean on Fukushima. Saves money on investigating your own shit and pollution. As the article said at the end, and I’ve read the same opinion from different experts so many times over these three years, the radioactivity will have weakened so much it would be almost harmless to life. As for your question about the coastline, I’ve read no reports on the toll to marine life, but have read about high levels of certain radioactive elements in fish still swimming in the waters off the reactor. They are not being consumed here or exported. There are some very thorough investigations going on here by private groups against nuclear power, so I would have read about “dead zones” by now. Peace. » Posted By Kalima On August 13, 2014 @ 5:45 pm You are absolutely right, sillylittleme me, tar sands. The words eluded me yesterday as I struggle with scrambled brains because of our heat. Thanks for reminding me although they are probably frikking fracking somewhere too. Cheers! » Posted By Kalima On August 13, 2014 @ 5:29 pm Maybe the changes in the marine life in the waters off Canada have their source much closer to home, and I would like to know what Canada dumps daily into their waters. After all, their conservative government strongly deny climate change and ban people from mentioning it on the tv, while chastising journalists who dare to write about it. Something strange must be going on there to cause this strong reaction. Must be counting on making pots of money from their environmentally destructive fracking. They also have nuclear reactors and facilities, some have even had spills. Here is an article from last year, and if this were from Fukushima, where are our dead fish, surely our beaches and eastern coastline would have been piled high with them in the last three years? With millions in fishing villages living in coastal regions that would have been very hard to hide. —- Fukushima’s Radioactive Water Leak http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/energy/2013/08/130807-fukushima-radioactive-water-leak/ —- A closer look at Canada’s nuclear plants http://www.cbc.ca/m/news/#!/content/1.1194756 » Posted By Kalima On August 12, 2014 @ 11:11 pm Satan Announces First Ever Summer Vacation Plans Sorry I’m so late. 🙁 https://youtube.com/watch?v=iZTbamt5xkw Incredibly funny and wicked, AdLib. Fights Against “War on Whites” Whoever gave this "white supremacy" notion to a bunch of chalky faced fools, is more than just delusional. Everything we have learned so far came from ancient and non white cultures, so how can we feel superior about things we stole in the first place? Credit where credit is due. The only thing that "white folks" have perfected is killing. Killing is something we have been consistently good at for over 5,000 years. Loved the deserved snark in your post, AdLib. As always, thank you for being so bloody honest. Now I'm off to sleep knowing that somewhere in Japan, the temps rose to 42C today. Without a combined effort by every country admitting to, and committing to slow climate change, efforts of those who take this emergency seriously, is like trying to plug a river overflow with your finger. I know it’s unfair because we have had our industrial revolution, but developing countries should be made to set more limits on emissions too. When I first came to Tokyo over 30 years ago, there were regular photo chemical sirens and warnings asking people to go inside. Tokyo cleaned up it’s air, but for years now we have junk coming over from China, so bad sometimes that everything is covered in a dusting of yellow powder. Respiratory illnesses in the young and old have risen sharply in the last decade. Wear a face mask whenever I leave the house. Nothing quite like turning what should be an enjoyable time into personal projections of one upmanship. Feel sorry for the girls who were just there to do their best and enjoy the games. What most people write is an opinion on any given issue, and says little about who they really are or what they think about everything. Some people hold back, some become more flamboyant when they are anonymous. The most I can say about you is that you live in Ohio, love your daughter and your mother, have very strong feelings about religion, hate RW lunatics, love poetry and have written some great poems too, and have great taste in music. To dig any deeper I would have to hear your voice, see your face to watch facial expressions, and talk to you for more than just a day. Now if one thinks they are God, maybe a few comments on one issue might be enough for them to know all about us, but I see no God here, do you? 😉 » Posted By Kalima On July 23, 2014 @ 9:34 pm Brilliant comment, kes. As a woman living in a country full of macho men on steroids, I applaud you. As the only “foreigner” on this thread to voice an opinion and probably knowing more about what is going on in your country than many Americans, I applaud you too. The assumption that because we are living in another country we are blind, deaf and numb to the sufferings of others around the world is misplaced and widely off the mark. Racism, sexism, gay bashing, anti-semitism and any and all types of prejudicial hatreds in a post or comment will result in their deletion and possibly the moderation or permanent banning of that member. We certainly recognize the big difference between differing opinions on religions, Israel, immigration, etc. that are welcome on this site and nakedly hurtful and/or hateful speech which will not be tolerated. The same applies to any threats made against public officials, members of this site, etc., such people will have to find somewhere else for such behavior to be acceptable.Well I for one must protest. These people who call themselves oppressed whites in America and the former apartheid South Africa have more than just a few screws loose. I hate being lumped with the "white" crowd because I consider myself to be light beige, and on good days even peachy. The only place that race should be a defining factor is when running a 100 meter one.
