I think it is to everyone’s benefit for activist groups to network and I would suggest that once things are rolling, some members of GROW are dedicated to helping to network with The Coffee Party and other Progressive activist groups. If GROW organizes media savvy protests, it can certainly reach out to such groups to join in. Semantics aside, what we need is a doc that gives a brief overview of what GROW is about and another doc which explains the specifics of what it will do, how and why. Still, what about the tangential issues like: a. Campaign financing laws I suggested something in a post a while back, more out of frustration but what if states had a Truth in Advertising law when it came to political ads? And violators could be sued? Then, even if corporations could spend billions on ads, if they couldn’t lie in them without being sued, their hands would be a bit tied.
