I am sure that you will be shocked to discover that I have posted an Allman Brothers selection. Here they cover Elmore James (something they’ve done quite a bit).
Great pick DF.
Stevie Ray and Jimmy Vaughan:
Great addition. All rock, especially Southern rock is born in the blues tradition.
Agreed. I am primarily a blues and jam band lover myself and my favorite rock has always been the stuff that stayed closest to its raw blues roots. This video is mostly because I miss my big brother. He lives in Key West and I live in Phoenix. That’s too far apart to spend what will be 11 years next month. I need to move back to the east.
Anson Funderburgh and Sam Myers (RIP)
The Velvet Steamroller was really on this night:
Charlie Mussellwhite:
Charlie is one of the best harmonica players ever. A real master.
Riley B King (aka BB King) and Billy F Gibbons of Tres Hombres fame performing a duet:
My favorite genre by a miles and miles!
Gatemouth Brown:
