Greetings and salutations Planet folk! I was thinking of a universal theme for this weekend and what better one than Life, The Universe and Everything? I was going to title this, Mishigas, the Yiddish word for craziness, that abounds throughout The TPGOP, but I reconsidered, because who could out-crazy the craziest people in the country? Sooo, pick your favorite songs about the universe, planets, stars and moons, space travel…etc. Also post songs about life or anything else you think of. And remember to smile while doing so! 😉

This is my favorite Marty Robbins song.
KT , in my youth (wasted in pool halls) I wore out two of that record albums.
I’ve never met someone whose youth was wasted shooting pool. I’m in awe. That is SO American! So “Music Man”! Really glad to make your acquaintance! And you must be more or less my age to have had RECORDS. I remember that album though I did not own it. But wow – you’re the quintessential American story. Zowie!
Cool water.
Here is Roy Clark.

Spaceman
Here is a song for my 9 year old granddaughter who has played the fiddle 3 years and is excellent at it.
Anyone remember this one?
This was popular when my wife and I got married in 1973.
This song was also used at my mom and the man I proudly call dad wedding. I picked it out, and they both loved it.
Being an old telephone lineman, I have to like this song.
Here is a very pretty song.
100 Years from Today – The Spaniels
Life is But a Dream – The Harptones
Sabreen, GREAT pick! I love Doo Wop.
