This weekend’s music thread is dedicated to animals, not of the human kind. Wondrous in variety, temperament, habitat and society. Many times, our innocent friends surpass us humans in tenderness and unconditional love. They have no agenda, with no hate groups or malice. They make up a tremendous amount of our natural world. Awe inspiring and beautiful, even musical.

So, if you may choose to, post songs about our furry friends, their relation to us, and their wonderfully instructive behavior. We could all learn a thing or two from these wonderful creatures.

The Lion Sleeps Tonight [The Beauty of Africa]

Wild Horses – Rolling Stones

The Grateful Dead – Dire Wolf

Stray Cats – Stray Cat Strut

Joni Mitchell & Jaco Pastorius – Coyote
