There was a report this morning saying that doctors who examined MLK after his death found that he had the heart of a 60 year old — the result of all the stress.

I worry that this presidency is going to take a toll on Barack. He works so hard.

And gets very little appreciation in return.

It’s a valid point. And it shows what the Democratic Party fails to understand about the electorate.

It bugs me to no end, though, that Republicans don’t know how to use the adjectival form of the word “Democrat.”

It’s a wonder she won the democratic primary.

If this is the kind of candidate she is, then this is the fault of the Democratic Party — who apparently took this senate race for granted. If there’s one lesson the Dems should have learned by now, it’s that no election can be taken for granted. It seems hubris is not the soul province of the GOP.

I’m never sure whether people like this are being cunningly manipulative or just doing what they believe they’re entitled to do in that position. I’ve decided the GOP is so inept because they think government jobs are all about getting all you can get — and that they sincerely believe Democrats are doing the same thing. Just getting what they can get.

I’ve really started to believe that they don’t know what governance is. They don’t know it when they see it. And they sure don’t know how to do it.

On a side note — I just heard that Fox News has transcribed Steele’s “Honest Injun” remark as “Honest Engine.”     😆

New Jersey and Virginia were no surprise, given the candidates’ records.

On the other hand, MA is going to be a true test case. Let’s hope it goes the same way as NY District 23.

Thanks, Pashima. I always trust hearing from people directly more than reading election reports in the press. They always seem to have an ax to grind.

I hope the Dems can get it together before Wednesday. Turnout is the key. If they can motivate people to go vote, they’ll be ok.

Pashma, do you have a sense of how the election is shaping up? I’m reading that people assume the 3rd party candidate Kennedy is related to Teddy, and that this may cause Martha to lose some votes.

I hope Democrats start a voter turnout campaign early. They need people to show up and vote. Because the hate is going crazy.

Re the recent Federal court decision for Comcast:

The FCC needs to act swiftly to “reclassify” broadband under the Communications Act.

Let me explain (hang in there, some of this gets wonky): During the Bush Administration, the FCC decided to treat broadband Internet service provider the same as Internet companies like Facebook
