The 47 senators and all the gOP congressmen/women are disrespecting our military. If they want to go to war let them. I have no respect for those who want us involved in endless war.

47 GOP Senators Write Love Letter to Ares, God of War

Kalima, 47 seems to be the number that brings down the GOP. You know “47% of Americans will vote for Obama, no matter what.” And now 47 republican senators act childish and write a letter that undermines the President.

Well done CD! I also think it is sedition on the part of the “GOPERS”! They are undermining the efforts of our President to use diplomacy to keep nuclear weapons from Iran. They hurt our chances of an agreement. I agree with you 100%.

Remembering Selma – The Civil Rights Movement: What Went Wrong?

Murph, Dr. King was a great man. A great man of any race. America has made some progress in race relations, but not enough. It will never be enough until there is zero hatred of any person for his race or color or persuasion.

I lived through the time of the march across the bridge in Selma. I was in high school in the Panama Canal Zone. As an “army brat” I was as color blind as possible in those days. One of my best friends happed to be black. He was welcome in my home as I was in his. I could never understand what pigment had to do with who you were.

Murph, you seem to have predicted what actually happened yesterday. Dems voted for the clean Bill to fund HS and enough Repubs joined to pass it.

Boehner is a weak “leader/speaker” He has no control due to his weakness. He should just ignore those 50 and get things done in a bipartisan way.
