Huffington Post Goes NSA on Its Members

Here we are, HLL. Good to see you. I’m done with HP as I will be the last person standing who will not join facebook. It’s a shame they went this route when we had some intelligent and fun posters.

Good Morning, Nirek.
What made you believe you have dementia? My x has been diagnosed as having dementia. I haven’t noticed too much difference and after all he is 82 yrs. old. He remembers current events fairly well but, does seem to have memory problems going back a few years. He mainly forgets neighbors or older friends. Strangely, he does remember me at 18 yrs. old. He was 24 and just out of the navy when we met.
If he really does have dementia, it is slow acting; hope it stays that way for the sake of our grandchildren.

More war. Less regulation on the bankers. Keystone going forward. Women issues still on the line.

I have to admit I loved my 1968 Pontiac GTO. I mean REALLY loved that car. It made a sound that just made me smile every time I started that engine. She was a dream to drive, even at 9 mpg. I could actually watch the gas gauge move 🙂
I have never forgiven my ex husband for making me sell that car. He said I worked to put gas in that car, which was probably true. No matter, I loved that car.

My comments on this issue may make me lose my lifelong liberal badge 🙂
The National Guard would be my option to secure the border, although they have may have a difficult time finding all the tunnels. We may need heat-seeking helicopters for that job.
Add more border patrol agents. Demand employers use E-verify.
We may be at the point of no return. It may be too late since we have let illegal immigrants get many benefits. My state of California would head the list of sanctuary states and giving away our tax dollars to illegals.
These young children do need to go home to their country of origin. The countries involved can meet us at the border. If we allow them to stay, then in a few months their parents, aunts, uncles, etc. would be here. It would be a fiasco.
Sounds harsh, doesn’t it. My views became more stern when I saw a rally being held in Los Angeles by illegals. They were all waving flags of Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala etc. I saw red!
If we don’t stop the border crossings now it will probably be too late. All political parties are to blame. This nonsense has been ignored too long and it needs to stop.
I could go on and on about California’s crisis due to illegal immigrants but, I’m running out of room to post.

We need to stay out of Iraq. This “war” is between the Shia, Sunni and soon the Kurds. The only help we can offer are drones and even then we do not have eyes on the ground to let us know who is who. I do believe Biden had the right idea to split the country into 3 areas. Shia, Sunni and Kurds, still being in the country of Iraq. When he proposed this idea years ago he was shot down. Sounds like he might have had the answer.
What a mess Bush and cohorts left us.

Bernie Sanders is the best! If Hillary decides to run, she would be smart to pick him as her VP. Sanders is correct that once in the VA system the quality of care is mostly very good. Two of my neighbors are now receiving care at the VA because Agent Orange was finally added as a condition. They are both now receiving monthly compensation for exposure to Agent Orange.
We have been at war for 12+ years. More and more veterans will need long-term care. It is our duty to make certain they receive the best care possible.

Elizabeth Warren is trying to do something about the massive amount of student loan debt. It will be quite a fight.
Many of our kids will be paying those loans for the next 20-30 years. Also, student loans cannot be discharged by bankruptcy.
You are so correct that the housing market will suffer.

I just left Yahoo’s site about the California drought. Wow! Nasty, snarky people on that site. Many claim god is causing the drought because we allow gay marriages and abortion. Many wished us Californians to die off soon! Others hoped we drown and fall into the sea because of an earthquake.
I reminded them how high their produce will be if it doesn’t rain soon. Also said we don’t bring politics into the discussion if they have a tornado or super storm. We send money to help them rebuild.
Had to get that off my chest. I had no idea so many people hated us!

I don’t get the GOPTP stand on this issue either, Nirek. Unemployment money goes directly into the economy at the market, the gas station, rent, utilities etc. It does NOT go into an offshore bank. Their stand will come back to bite them.
Not extending it will just put more people on unemployment because small business will not have customers for their product.
But then again, I’ve not understood the GOPTP stand on many, many issues
