This sounds like something he would send out….but he forgot his other favorite tool, the sawzall… » Posted By BigDogMom On February 3, 2010 @ 2:29 pm Rosie the Rivitor, my favorite! » Posted By BigDogMom On February 3, 2010 @ 7:00 am CREW, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington has sent a letter to the President asking that he not attend the National Prayer Breakfast this Thursday. http://rawstory.com/2010/02/watchdog-prayer-breakfast/ The breakfast is organized by “The Foundation” a/k/a “The Family” of C-Street fame. I agree with CREW that the President should not go and I sent an e-mail to the President this morning supporting Crew’s request. I believe that it would send a wrong signal, legitimizing this group that is far from having true “Christian” values and has defrauded tax payers by using their non-profit status to avoid paying taxes on rental income. Some say he will get heat from the right if he doesn’t go, I say the right already gives him heat for just being in office, they didn’t vote him into office and they are not going to vote for him in any near future as far as I can see. Let’s hope he decides not to go, make a statement Mr. President, please. » Posted By BigDogMom On February 1, 2010 @ 12:28 pm Great to be here today too! Minnesota is about as liberal as I’m the Queen of England..pfffttt! These twit trolls really need to get a real job! » Posted By BigDogMom On December 15, 2010 @ 2:24 pm Hey Adlib, I hope you are right in saying that this sham will be exposed over the next two yrs, it’s so frustrating to watch even the local nightly news…even that has a right slant to it! I have been having an ongoing fight with a rightwing troll who posts in the online comment section of our local newspaper…lord he is hateful. Just recently, I have noticed that others have been following suit and going at him with facts and pointing out the obsurdity of his posts…so that gives me hope that these fools will be drowned out one day! » Posted By BigDogMom On December 15, 2010 @ 1:43 pm Hey Javaz, thanks for the link, great article. I have long suspected that right-wing paid trolls inhabit most of the major blogs and political internet sites, HP being one of the major ones. This coordinated effort by the right, groups such as Sam Adams Alliance and American Majority, to dumb down the political conversation on sites just scares me to death. It’s as if they are everywhere now, have gained a foothold and cannot be stopped. Even on AOL, which I have for my businesses e-mail, when you read the comment section of even the most benign story, the right wing hate mongering rhetoric being posted by some, seems to just take over the whole board. It is so frustrating at times, I feel as if all that is good and fair in this world is being overrun by these maniacs who want to beat into submission anyone who doesn’t fall into their way of thinking….1930’s Germany all over again. » Posted By BigDogMom On December 15, 2010 @ 11:35 am Where were you 30 years ago today when you heard? Hey Kes, thanks, we lost our oldest one this past summer, we all miss him and his sense of calm that he exerted especially when his Mom gets to yell’n at the TV over another Republican asshats lie…been popping in, lurking and keeping up with everyones articles. » Posted By BigDogMom On December 8, 2010 @ 2:14 pm HH, I’m going to guess that on June 20, 1987 you were born….we share the same birthday, but I’m 29 yrs older than you, wow, your just a baby! All I remember about 30 yrs. ago today was standing in front of the TV in shock when the news was announced and my older sister calling me, she was crying, we both couldn’t believe it. I thought to myself this is what my mother must have felt when she heard the news that JFK was assassinated, I was just a kid then, but I remember her face when we heard the news….complete and under disbelief that this could ever happen to such an icon of our times. » Posted By BigDogMom On December 8, 2010 @ 11:23 am SOMEDAYS, IT’S JUST ABOUT A GOOD LAUGH! Thanks, needed a good laugh on a Monday morning! “Suppose you were an idiot, and suppose you were a member of Congress; but I repeat myself.” Mark Twain » Posted By BigDogMom On July 26, 2010 @ 7:21 am Book Alert – Forgotten Heroes and Villains of Sand Creek Congrats to Planeteer, “She who is not be named, but we see her name on the picture of the book cover, anyway”! Good for you, you go girl! Bet “She who is not named” is glad it’s done, published and on sale, I know you worked hard on this. Just happen to have a newly minted Border’s 33% off Coupon that I shall use to purchase this very interesting book, which seems to be right up my alley! Hope the book is a success and makes it on Amazon’s best seller’s list and “She who will not be named” makes oodles of money, but doesn’t go over to the other side because she will be a gazillionaire and forgets about all us little people!! » Posted By BigDogMom On July 14, 2010 @ 11:58 am The definition of cognitive dissonance, part 2 I love when my father-in-law lights one up, I think I’m the only one in the family that let’s him smoke in the house…he like the big Cubanno’s, I think they’re called. The stinkier the better…but the next morning the house doesn’t smell that good, so I open all the windows! » Posted By BigDogMom On March 23, 2010 @ 7:08 pm Khirad, I believe by November they will have burned themselves out with the mainstream voter…especially if Obama keeps up this momentum he has and continues to go around the country on this info campaign. » Posted By BigDogMom On March 23, 2010 @ 7:04 pm GIRL YOU ARE CRAZY!!! The smell was so bad in the back yard when the thing sprayed that our eyes where burning and tearing while we were dousing the dogs with tomato juice…. (ps: I love the smell of cigars) » Posted By BigDogMom On March 23, 2010 @ 6:42 pm Trap the sucker…that’s what I did. It’s a little pricey, but well worth it…..he is now residing up state at a nice national park…you could say he is now on the government doll! π » Posted By BigDogMom On March 23, 2010 @ 6:38 pm Or your mailman that knocks on your window when he sees you at your desk and wants to talk about how the world and the post office has mistreated him for 30 years. You nod your head yes, trying to sympathize with him. Then you quietly ask him not to walk across your lawn to your neighbors house, because you just put seed down. Which he then proceeds to yell at you because the post office has given him a time limit to deliver your mail, turns with a huff and walks across the lawn anyway….what do you do? » Posted By BigDogMom On March 23, 2010 @ 6:35 pm Hey Pepe, where you in CT lately, my dogs were sprayed last week and after dousing them with three large cans of tomato juice and two baths EACH….they have the essence of Le Pew still lingering…. πΏ » Posted By BigDogMom On March 23, 2010 @ 6:25 pm Yes, they are a minority, but, unfortunately they are the ones given air time now by the MSM because car crashes are viewed more than feel good stories… But I believe that this will change soon, it has already started with the evening news and the morning shows, like Good Morning America. Diane Sawyer has now dedicated a segment every night with a feel good story, triumph over tragedy in these trying times. People need this, people want to see that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, they want to see that there is hope for the future and that the good guy wins in the end. The November elections will be the indicator whether the GOP hate machine has burned itself out…. » Posted By BigDogMom On March 23, 2010 @ 6:21 pm The only taste that this idjit has is in his mouth and even that is questionable… » Posted By BigDogMom On March 23, 2010 @ 5:53 pm Picture #4 is the Costa Rica Room….just wanted to get the feel of it before he moved there. » Posted By BigDogMom On March 23, 2010 @ 5:50 pm I don’t think Roosh could fit in that tub…. » Posted By BigDogMom On March 23, 2010 @ 5:48 pm OK, that’s just gross… π― » Posted By BigDogMom On March 23, 2010 @ 5:45 pm bit – Money doesn’t buy taste….or class » Posted By BigDogMom On March 23, 2010 @ 5:43 pm Cher & Nellie – I agree, America has such a diverse group of people that it is highly unlikely that we would let anything like Germany in the ’30’s happen here. I’m sorry I failed to clarify that in my post, (ADD on my part, the Pizza Man came in the middle of my post!). I was trying to explain the angry/victim mentality that we are seeing here in our country today and how it is being fueled by the likes of the GOP and Faux News, such as Hitler and his propaganda machine once did in order to gain power. Yes, we are a scrappy bunch of misfits and that is what makes this country great…will we tolerate this type of propaganda and anger for much longer? I doubt it. The average person can only take so much this atmosphere before they start to tune it out and turn away from it, (re my husband)…I have faith that there are a lot more compassionate and loving people in this country, than there are the angry racist. Good will prevail, it always does….. » Posted By BigDogMom On March 23, 2010 @ 5:35 pm Cher, I liken the GOP to the Nazi Party in the mid 30’s, before Hitler, Goebbels and Himmler really got them organized. The early followers were out of work angry-at-the-world thugs and bullies, very similar to Pepe’s co-worker. Which Hitler whipped up into a frenzy every weekend at the Beer Halls and then let them loose onto the streets to do his dirty work and recruiting. If you can stomach it, listen to or watch Beck’s shows, he is using Goebbels propaganda playbook, (I swear he’s working for the GOP), he knows how to push these types of peoples buttons. It doesn’t take much, they are already mentally unstable to begin with, he just plants the seed and they run with it…… I just pray that the GOP, the Christian Fundies and these type of people burn themselves out before something really tragic happens. » Posted By BigDogMom On March 23, 2010 @ 4:13 pm Today’s Historic House Vote on HCR – LIVE FEED AND BLOG Well kids, I am going to spend the rest of this historic night with my husband, have a big piece of cheesecake and sleep well tonight…..glad I could share this moment with all of you tonight. bito – This ones for you baby!!!
