He needs a win. Maddow made a good point earlier that Republicans totally signed on to infrastructure spending. Push them on that, get some shit done, THEN the people will rally around you.

I hate CNN so much. Holy shit they’re like your parents. But goofier. I can’t watch MSNBC without muting it(Chris Matthews), and I have the channel for FOX locked so it can never be changed to that channel.

Obama will deliver a thorough speech loaded with modest but necessary proposals designed to jump start job growth.

He will offer a buffet of cuts and increases to hopefully satisfy people on both sides. Talk about measures that will begin soon without immediate Congressional approval.

He will detail our current situation, draw a distinction between his vision and the Republicans while still assuring Republicans he very much wants to work with them, not against them.

He will end the speech by talking about future prosperity that we can and will make happen.

Republicans will laugh in his face, accuse him of being an “imperial President” and a “bully”(boo-hoo), and, propose a counter measure involving corporate tax cuts, an end to the UI extension, and, just for the Hell of it, more tax cuts.

Indeed. Last I checked we pay a lower accumulation of taxes than many European countries. we pay many different kinds of taxes but the money accrued is far less. We COULD pay more.
