To celebrate this Easter weekend, the theme for this music thread is life and living things, from animals to trees to people and anything else living around us (except viruses of course).
Trump said that he knew, and didn't know, on the very same day. But, you see, that's not a contradiction to the President. You must be saying to yourself: "Of course it's a lie. Both stories can't be true." Right? Wrong! Not to Donald Trump!
Trump is a snake oil salesman at heart. He says that any potion that he cooks up is as good, or actually infinitely better, than any other. Why? Because of his superior magic!
This weekend's theme is for songs about days of the week, which can also include yesterday, today and tomorrow...or as I am starting to call days, "yestomorrows".
The most "wicked" symptom, probably, is that you can tell that your thinking norms have changed. One part of your brain sees with perfect clarity, another part is thinking things that are impossible.
Dr. Lee makes sense of Trump's pathology. She defines him medically, and so well that we begin to feel that there may be a solution, an antidote, to Trump and Trumpism. They are diseases. They have causes. And terrible consequences. Like the virus, if we don't stop them, and put an end to them, they may put an end to us.
Donald's "perfect" performance in the Response was so "Godfather-ish." He thought of the news of a potential pandemic as made to order - a godsend.
Being "safe at home" for weeks can give you a bit of cabin fever so this weekend's music thread is for songs about the great outdoors, looking forward to being outside again! Share your favorite tunes about nature whether land, sea or sky!
The real story, and the real danger, is that we are following a path backward in time, transported by Dialectic Materialism into a decline for worldwide individual liberty and sovereignty, and finally into Stalinist autocracy.
If Donald Trump’s “Churchill moment” came down to a single instance when he was asked, “What do you say to Americans who are watching you right now who are scared?" So what did he say? “I say that you are a terrible reporter, that’s what I say. It’s a very nasty question."
