ADLIB: If I said 2 plus 2 equals 4, isn't that the only correct answer? CRUZ: I can list the names of a number of Republican economists who would disagree with you.
Just last November, pundits were saying that Obamacare's troubled rollout doomed it to failure and Chris Christie was so nationally popular, he was the odds on favorite to win the GOP Presidential primary and perhaps the White House.
The question to be asked of Republicans about the poor, aside from, "How can you be such complete assholes?!" is, "Really, there are well paying jobs out there just waiting for the poor to apply but the poor won't because they're way too comfy being poor? Name those specific jobs."
It is likely that Pres. Obama may make raising the minimum wage a top priority since it would have a direct impact on aiding those with the lowest incomes (and reducing the cost to the government and taxpayers for subsidizing those low wages of greedy corporations) and make for a better economy.
Ironically, Americans watch and enjoy classic Christmas movies that strongly indict the materialism Americans are focused on during much of the Christmas season.
What we've witnessed since President Obama's election has been an unending parade of thinly veiled and outright racism spewed by mainstream media channels and pundits, Republican politicians and the GOP army trolls at most blog sites. The march of racism hasn't ended so the march against it can't either.
The enemy is small but incredibly powerful, they mount assaults all across the globe on people everywhere but are like terror cells, operating independently but driven by the same philosophies and practicing the same ruthlessness. The enemy is both foreign and domestic and has more destructive power than any army.
President Obama has indeed brought bipartisanship to Washington DC...in a chorus against change.
Republicans claim they only have a problem with the way they communicate their message. Perhaps this more severe, lost Ryan Budget could be presented in a more appetizing way, perhaps as the wrapper on a Big Mac, so it would get the respect and lengthy consideration it deserves.
Thinking the unthinkable. As horrible as it is to think of this, the wise are doing just that.
