Vox Populi, our weekly live chat about the week’s events begins tonight at 7:00pm PDT. Hope to see you then! AdLib 3 hours ago

There are supposedly six people on line….where are they? Ghosts? MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Boo! AdLib an hour ago

Ghosts of Trump Past. AdLib an hour ago

BTW, your post shows you’ve got it open for editing, don’t want to disrupt. If I open it, it has to close for you. AdLib an hour ago

Hey PPO! AdLib an hour ago

Hiya ad! How was your week? pinkpantheroz an hour ago

It flew by, all the Trump madness made it kind of manic. AdLib an hour ago

Murph! pinkpantheroz an hour ago

How was your week, PPO? AdLib an hour ago

Quiet as usual, Brexit ‘deal’ looks iffy to me, but what do I know. Vultures settling over Trumpland. pinkpantheroz an hour ago

V. impressed with Pelosi. She has him by the dangly bits! pinkpantheroz an hour ago

The deal supposedly has terms that BoRon quit over in the past. I don’t know how it passses. AdLib an hour ago

Ad…closed it….some of the tags “took” i.e. featured post but not any of the others even though they show as checked. And notifications are definitely off….need to walk through that with you. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Pelosi is a smart, professional politician. She’s staying calm, staying the course and seeing the big picture. Trump is no competition for that. AdLib an hour ago

Hello PPO…….the Doral thing has the potential to raise the heat further I think. So obvious. Add that to the betrayal of the Kurds. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Murph – Yes, something’s messed up. Will look at it later but I can schedule the publishing of your post tomorrow in the meantime. AdLib an hour ago

Evenin’ gents and ghosts! Hope everyone is doing well. glenn an hour ago

Ad, Ulster Unionists won’t have it. It leaves them at the mercy of the Popish South! No Surrandar! Fools. They think UK wants them gone, and they’re right. An Inconvenient part of the UK and pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Hey glenn! AdLib an hour ago

glenn! pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Doral has to be the last straw for the GOP. pinkpantheroz an hour ago

If Brexit fails this time, there will likely be an election. Any chance of it being over killing Brexit? AdLib an hour ago

How about our Madame Speaker? The woman has more steel in her little finger than the TLB even thought of having! glenn an hour ago

Ad…the post published…..no problem…just no tags…..and notifications….we can deal with this later. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Ad, there has always been a get out of jail free card – UK withdrawing its leaving under Article 50! Of course, they’d stay in then and 3 years of shite later, a new Governmrent. pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Trump is in Kamikaze mode now. Crash and burn, he’ll break bigger and bigger laws now to try and kick the game board off the table. But Dems are too smart to fall for that, impeachment is proceeding as planned. AdLib an hour ago

Murph – I’ll schedule it to publish tomorrow. AdLib an hour ago

Ad, how to curb his enthusiasm? pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Ad….and PPO…if Brexit fails to win majority support in the House….Johnson will be compelled to ask for another extension by the EU (to January 31) AND the EU has shown a willingness to renegotiate now….I think because Johnson is in a tight spot…. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

PPO–Don’t know why Doral is the last straw. The TLB told us a while ago that he was going to have the G-7 summit there and repubs never said a word. It’s just like the Mueller report. The TLB skated through that; he is skating through the Ukraine mess (on the repub side, at least), he’s a little iffy on the Turk/Syrian “problem” with his fellow repubs, but Doral? Nah….it’s just business as usual. glenn an hour ago

PPO – Sounds good to me! Article 50 and goodbye to Tories! AdLib an hour ago

PPO – Just cut off Trump from snortable Adderall. AdLib an hour ago

glenn, any chance Doral has its licences revoked for health reasons? heh heh pinkpantheroz an hour ago

What about Zucko and Fake Ads? Ridiculous to claim we have to live with it pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Murph – But the negotiated points are ones that Tories have opposed. It’s a mess. AdLib an hour ago

Harleigh! pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Glenn…Doral is very different. Up to now his coffers have benefited from patronage at his properties but he could argue that he did not compel or direct that patronage…but G7 would do just that….and already there are GOP voicing their opposition. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

evening kids Harleigh an hour ago

PPO–Never going to happen with the licenses…FL is a repub state, and the mayor of Miami is also a repub. glenn an hour ago

Hey Harleigh! glenn an hour ago

glenn one could hope……sigh pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Facebook is truly an enemy of democracy. If Warren gets the nom and the WH, I can’t wait for FB to be broken up and regulated. AdLib an hour ago

Hey Harleigh! AdLib an hour ago

glad I closed my account before ever actually using it. and the hoops you had to go through to do it pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Ad….Johnson could end up losing support from his own crowd…..eventually there will be votes of confidence and then, if they fail, calls for him to step down…..I don’t think that the opposition wants an election right now. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Hi Harleigh… MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

mayor of doral is repub? Harleigh an hour ago

What’s to prevent the leaders of other G-7 countries to say, thanks but no thanks, we’re staying elsewhere so as not to have our voters outraged at our handing money to another country’s leader.” AdLib an hour ago

Murph, I think Labour would romp it in right now, but would they want to have Brexit in their lap? I doubt it. pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Ad….the trouble with that scenario is that not staying on site so complicates engagement that the down side is considerable. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

AD, exceelent point. I’ll contact ScoMo the turd and protest, if he’s going pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Murph–I hope you’re right about Doral. I hate to use this expression, but everyone knows that he broke the law big time, no federal employee is allowed to award a contract to himself, but will it make a difference? I just don’t understand repubs, especially McConnell and Graham, so I just can’t see them doing anything about it. They can scream and holler all they want; it makes them feel good. But actually doing something about it, like removing the TLB from office for violating the law, nahhh, it ain’t gonna happen, IMO. I do hope they prove me wrong; never will I be so glad to be wrong, but I have strong doubts! glenn an hour ago

PPO – We still have a FB account for The Planet but we never post on it, just have our articles linked. But even that is harder for me to swallow. People need to recognize that the evil and damage at FB outweighs the benefits. AdLib an hour ago

PPO…Labor would certainly gain some seats but, as you say, they are happy to see the problem remain in the lap of those who created it. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Murph – BoRon has already humiliated the Tories as the most dissed and losing PM. I can see him losing especially if the Liberal Dems join with Labor. AdLib an hour ago

Glenn….you hit on one of my principal peeves….technically the President is not governed by many of the regs and norms including this one BUT even so precedent is that the President acts as if he is responsible to do so. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Murph – Yes, not ideal but that G7 could be less eventful anyway with Trump threatening to bring Putin. Who wants to be there anyway? AdLib an hour ago

Ad…as PPO points out the opposition parties are happy to leave the mess in the laps of those who birthed it. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Ad……Putin being there would create another set of problems….Trump is chaos incarnate. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

It must get up Boris’ and his Tory Oiks’ tits that the little ex-colony to the West is still giving them fits. Ireland, The Mouse That Roared! pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Murph – I think that the blatant corruption of putting money into Trump’s pocket could be enough to make many in the G7 turn him down. AdLib an hour ago

Doral is not worth a shit once you get off the course. Many violations from health department for vermin and bugs to bedbugs too. any members bailed and have to wait years to get back their 25K deposit. No new members joinin, that’s why its a loser. Harleigh an hour ago

Maybe we should all book rooms to stay at Doral a week before G7 and bring jars of bedbugs? AdLib an hour ago

Harleigh, I wouldn’t want to join a Trump Golf Club, ever. pinkpantheroz an hour ago

How about Hillary coming out and branding Tulsi Gabbard the Russian pawn she is? AdLib an hour ago

I’m a little behind right now, because I wanted to find out if the mayor of Doral is a repub or not. Looked at several articles and not one of them mention his political party. Very strange. glenn an hour ago

Ad, they’re already in residence, by all accounts. pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Ad….and given the growing dissatisfaction with Trump it is possible that members will find ways to slight Trump. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Murph, Change it to Canada in fear of resurgent ISIS attacks on the US! pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Gabbard was late to her “rally” tonight…she detoured to appear on Tucker Carlson to attack Hillary and moan about how much of a victim she is. You know, like Republicans do. AdLib an hour ago

Murph–so, the president isn’t governed by the laws regarding federal employees? The technicality there, of course, is the emoluments clause, which the TLB is definitely subject to. But, repubs will find a way out of that, too, if they want to keep the TLB in office. Frankly, I think he’s lost his usefulness, so I am cautiously optimistic that the tide will turn. But, I’m not holding my breath! glenn an hour ago

Murph – Trump will have been impeached by then and exposed in impeachment hearings as the criminal he is. Not to mention more Syria type decisions. AdLib an hour ago

gabbard is a hack getting money for a campaign that has NO CHANCE. Harleigh an hour ago

Same here, glenn. Frustrating, isn’t it? pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Doral should be another article of impeachment, abuse of office and emoluments. AdLib an hour ago

same here glenn Harleigh an hour ago

Glenn….the president is, indeed, exempt from a plethora of federal laws….in fact, the precedent has been that legislation particular to the president is required. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

There is a specific law that says Trump can’t accept ANY foreign money, which include payments from foreign countries to him through his Doral shithole. AdLib an hour ago

Ad and Murph–Do the members of the G-7 have to stay in the “designated” hotel? Could they get accommodation elsewhere and just attend the meetings at the Doral? glenn an hour ago

Twitter reports that they found more photos of Ron DeSantis on election night with the two arrested Giuliani associates. Florida is in trouble! Nyuk, Nyuk pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Ad..I was just thinking about his situation at that point…….impeached but likely not found guilty…..and that as a result of partisan blindness to the facts at hand….it would all make him a much more tarnished figure and a poor host. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago
