Well, it’s that time of year, when the Global Warmth of Winter is renamed Spring. A time for growth and renewal…unless you’re a Republican. then it’s a time for criticizing the growth of plants as slower than it would have been if a Republican was President.
So this weekend’s theme is Spring, rebirth, growth and nature.

Beautiful Day – U2

Good Day Sunshine – Beatles

Groovin’ – The Rascals

Springtime – Donald Fagen

Springtime For Hitler – The Producers

A Happy Easter and Passover to all!

I want to take this chance to say Hoppy Easter (and SPRING) to all my friends here on the planet.

First of all, you get massive points in my book for posting the clip from The Producers. I love Mel Brooks films.

Here is a video that I made a few years ago from pics taken on a family vacation. The song isn’t about spring, but the video is full of flowers and scenery.

To go along with your “Spring time with Hitler” This song was a big hit in the spring of 1937 as Europe was entering some very dark days, this lifted your spirits.

Martha Tilton -- Bei Mir Bist Du Schön (1937) Madhattan Room

(sorry, I just watched part of “The Swing Kids” the other day, so I stretched the theme. It was in springtime the song was often done in Yiddish, so I also covered Passover -- and I do like swing. Too big of stretch? 🙂 )

Sing sing sing -- The Swing Kids
