Since this week’s hot button issue was contraception, we “conceived” a theme for this week’s music thread to be about “baby”s and sex. Songs with “baby” in them or sexy songs that being listened to by couples without contraception, could result in less than a year, in urgent Costco trips for Pampers.

Genius pick, KT! How could I have overlooked it??? Nice one!

And this is dedicated to every mom and/or dad here. It’s one of my favorite songwriters, Scott Miller, singing a song he wrote for his godson, “Song for Jack Tymon”. I am not a baby person – they smell musty and make me nervous when they can’t/don’t/won’t hold up their heads – BUT – I sing this song to every friend’s baby I can while I nibble their little toes. It’s how I bond to them. It’s also the most perfect prayer for ANY child.
And Jackson Browne, with the quintessential pregnancy song, Ready or Not:
Joni–Songs To Aging Children Come;
