As frustrating as it is to those of reason, that there must be some way to convince those in the Religious Right of reality and out of believing Republican falsehoods, you can lead a sheep to water but you can’t make him brush aside the wool that’s been pulled over his eyes so he can see the water and drink.

Corporations may have designed this mousetrap of buying cheap products bringing down wages but as long as consumers keep going for the cheese the corporations set out, they will continue to be the victim of this trap.

single payer - ca

Single payer seems dead legislatively in California, not just as a bill but as an issue. It died not due to insurance industry opposition but due to the outrageous bullying tactics of its supporters. Nice job, BullyProgs.

All the Talk of a Brokered Convention….just talk, talk, talk…. The reality. There are no such things as real political “brokers” embedded in the parties any more…..therefore no brokered convention. Pre-1976, when the primary/caucus pattern now in place became the dominant one, powerful local officials—mostly governors, mayors, key figures in [...]

What would happen if I listen, really listen to the news 24 hours a day? What would I hear from the different channels? Would it make me angry, happy, sad, disgusted? I asked myself those questions and decided, what the hell, I m going to find out.

The fraud of the Norquist no-taxes pledge has been publicly exploded now and as long as Dems don’t overlook this opportunity, the entire raison d’etre for the Republican Party will be invalidated in the minds of most Americans.

"Buddy, can you spae me a dime?"

Fewer and fewer of the folks who contributed to the success of our economy actually benefited from that success.
