Music Thread

It’s 4th of July weekend so of course, our musical theme is songs about Thanksgiving. Er…4th of July. Songs about America, independence and freedom are what this weekend’s musical fireworks are all about.

If Trump's CFO Weisselberg doesn't want to spend the rest of his life in prison, he's going to have to name names. So this weekend's music thread is about naming names, songs with the name of a person in the title.

Tomorrow is Father's Day here in the U.S. so we're celebrating dads...or we might get sent to our rooms. For fathers here and remembered, the theme of this weekend's music thread is about dads who were and are good and caring men, songs with men's names in them and songs about kids and family. Happy Father's Day!

People are flying on on planes more, socializing and once again, going to the movies. So to celebrate what we hope is getting a bit on top of COVID and getting back a bit more to normal, this weekend's music thread is about movie music. Share your favorite songs from movies, are the titles of movies or are about movies.

Tomorrow is Mother's Day and despite all the differences Americans have, one thing they have in common is that they all have mothers (though some may accuse motherhood as being a socialist hoax). So this weekend's music thread is for songs about mothers, women, children, families and love.

It's May 1st, May Day, so this weekend's music thread is dedicated to those who do and have worked, songs about working, jobs, and getting something done is what's working in this weekend's music thread.
