When Arianna Huffington began The Huffington Post, it was a breath of fresh air. The articles and commentary were of the highest caliber, often, and didn’t head for the gutter faster than Mickey Rourke in “Barfly”. It attracted members with the level of discourse, and the freedom it provided them to pretty much write whatever they wanted. Then it changed. Endless stories about Jennifer Anniston, Tom Cruise and Amy Winehouse (a person I’d never even heard of until I read about her on Huffpo). A Surge of Trolls. The problem, as with all abusive relationships, is that the victim allows the victimizer to define them. We do our “hunting and gathering” in supermarkets. A real tribesman would walk into a supermarket, look around, and be totally mystified. There was FOOD in there? Just as the vast majority of us would be hopelessly lost in a forest, while the tribesman could saunter around, looking at all the luscious edibles. We have to change this somehow, but we are lost in the matrix, and our Bosses want us to stay that way.
