Displaying 301 To 322 Of 322 Comments Keep Your Head Low and Your Powder Dry Fundies of any stripe always have the loudest voice. It takes stealth to tactfully exclude them from the dialogue. Then you will see them flailing about trying to regroup while you calmly mop up. Mainstream media has turned the cult of personality into “The Cult.” And that is what the republicans have become and what the tea bag partiers are fast becoming. Fringe fundie groups on the margin of society. Just a heads up. I think you mean Tiger Woods was beyond reproach. » Posted By dildenusa On March 23, 2010 @ 11:26 am STATE CHALLENGES TO HEALTH CARE REFORM Here in Arizona the republican led legislature is about to shoot themselves in the foot. They put a referendum on the ballot in May for a 1 cent increase in the state sales tax. OK. But if the sales tax passes they are going to cut taxes business property taxes and state taxes on business activities in the same amount the the sales tax increase might bring in. DUUUH! » Posted By dildenusa On March 23, 2010 @ 11:38 am I don’t have cable or satellite TV so I don’t watch Bill Maher very much except on the net but very infrequently. You’re correct however that there is still a lot of misogyny in American media today. Also one fact of Obama and health care is the republicans do not like the idea of a black man passing health care reform. I believe this is why they are so against it and not idealogically opposed to health care reform. » Posted By dildenusa On March 18, 2010 @ 7:07 pm Hi! Ditto for that rain in Northern Arizona to help the firefighters in Flagstaff. » Posted By dildenusa On June 23, 2010 @ 9:14 am Open carry laws are nothing but a political statement. Unless one lives on a ranch 50 miles from the closest town or is activley hunting, there is no purpose in openly carrying firearms. And now the NRA gets to make it’s political statements without coming under the new disclosure law. http://www.rollcall.com/news/47348-1.html » Posted By dildenusa On June 16, 2010 @ 12:44 pm Sharron Angle, the tea bag partier, AKA, republican opponent of Nevada senator Harry Reid may have carried a loaded, concealed, 44 Magnum, Dirty Harry, style gun into a recording studio. I think she has been drinking a little too much of the ice tea and confused Harry Reid with Clint Eastwood. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/06/16/sharron-angle-floated-2nd_n_614003.html http://voices.washingtonpost.com/plum-line/2010/06/sharron_angle_floated_possibil.html » Posted By dildenusa On June 16, 2010 @ 9:46 am Hi! Today is also the official start of the North American monsoon season. It mostly affects the western part of North America as the prevailing winds shift and come from the south and southeast, instead of the north and northwest. This brings humid air from the Gulf of Mexico and Gulf of California. So far in northern Arizona it’s still quite dry. The official end is the last week in September. » Posted By dildenusa On June 14, 2010 @ 8:46 am Huff Post sent my comment to moderator purgatory. This is an example of the Big Lie. This was my comment on Huff Post. Sister Sarah is engaging in pure theater. Plus they are going to cut 300,000 people from medicaid rolls whether the sales tax increase passes or not. The state will then lose a 3 to 1 federal matching funds for medicaid. Please. Does this make any sense?

In “Mein Kampf” Hitler blamed the Jews for the destruction of Germany during and after World War 1. After he came to power in 1933 he stated that the Jews would start another war with the goal of destroying Germany. So what’s next for Sister Sarah?

So the issue is not that these groups were trying to run the blockade of Gaza but that Israeli commandos acted no better than Pirates. So legally the fleet of aid ship had every right to defend themselves and may or may not have, but obviously the commandos over reacted.

I wonder what her middle class working minions in the tea bag party think of her accumulating money like that. I guess the idea is that when you have that much in the bank you have more time to spend brainwashing superstitious people into believing that you are the savior.
Beck is not just a charlatan and a con man, he is acting out a svengali role. Most of us know what the private lives of 98% of the population are like. Keeping a roof over your head, putting food on the table, child care, etc. Normal people however, still manage to mind their own business and deal with their own lives while leaving others to deal with their lives while still being able to help out others. But not sleaze balls like Beck. In his twisted world, it’s OK to load his missiles with fear and anger and aim them directly at the heart of darkness. His missiles do nothing but stir up hate. And he is taking the “Southern Strategy” of the republican party to it’s pretzel logic conclusion.

I live in northern Arizona about 60 miles from Searchlight, NV. I’ve been there several times. Not, however, when Sarah Palin was there. It’s a nice little desert town. On the way there, going up the hill from the Colorado River in Laughlin, NV, is a place called Grapevine Canyon. There are springs where Native American river tribes set up hunting camps and carved petroglyphs in the rocks some of which are hundreds of years old. I wonder if Sarah Palin with her Native American husband stopped in Grapevine Canyon to see the priceless artifacts of her family’s ancestors. My feeling is she couldn’t care less.
