Grass Roots Over Washington (GROW)

Let me pack your suitcase for you… πŸ˜†

» Posted By boomer1949 On March 1, 2010 @ 4:25 pm

Better late than never, but I’m right there with everyone.

GROW is a direct result of the SCOTUS ruling that “corporations are people too.”

I propose a first “group statement” should/could be a dramatic reading πŸ˜† of “Corporations are People Too!” by Dr. Suits. One person could do it, or each one of us could read a portion (voluntarily of course), and edit to put each reader in one video. It could be done quite simply — sometimes I think less is more.

At any rate, it’s a suggestion. I realize there are others here with much more creativity than I, so take my suggestion for what it’s worth — my 2 cents. πŸ˜€

Not if he were irrational, emotionally unstable, and feeling desperate.

I’ve been very close to the edge of the pier, almost ready to jump. However, and for what ever reason, I was cognizant enough to call my doctor the day I had one foot stretched over the water. Fortunately, I was in his office less than 30 minutes later. It’s very scary to feel out-of-control, and had my doc and his staff not recognized the urgency, I might have jumped. Correction — would have.

There but for the grace of God goes anyone of us…

A pier becomes much shorter when one feels defeated, helpless, and hopeless. None of us will ever know what was going on inside this man’s head, nor the last straw that pushed him over the edge. It doesn’t take much for the brain to misfire, throwing it into complete and utter chaos.

I think most of us understand the statement one paycheck away from being homeless.

Although I do not condone the way Mr. Stack chose to deal with issues in his life, I understand what it feels like to be one step away from a misfire and a very short pier.

The very sad and complicated story of Mercy the Cat

Pepe,

In addition to the things I mentioned before, he did get jail time…

Santuomo was sentenced to 90 days in jail, to be served in 10-day increments over the next two years. He also has to pay $4,500 in restitution, perform 200 hours of community service, stay away from companion animals for five years and write a letter of apology to be published in the local newspaper and the International Association of Firefighters magazine, the humane society’s Miller said.

Kalima,

I’m not sure what I meant.

Must’ve thought it, had brain freeze, and forgot to type it.

Yes it is and ultimately, the man lost his job, was required to compensate the County Animal Shelter from where he adopted both dogs, and sentenced to community service for local animal outreach organizations.

**note** Community anger, resentment, and criticism were what cost this man his job. Residents who were served by his CFD unit did not want this person called to a home in the middle of the night. Why? Because none believed Mr. Firefighter would save a child and/or a pet.

Humans aren’t supposed to be helpless, plus more often than not, humans have way too many strings attached. Many can’t spell thank you, much less say it and mean it.

A four legged critter is helpless, often frightened, and has no strings. They appreciate food, water, and having a warm cozy place to sleep. These creatures don’t demand or expect it; humans are an entirely different animal.

A Columbus firefighter admits that he took his two dogs to the basement, tied them up and blasted them with a rifle so he and a girlfriend could vacation without paying to board the animals.

Rashomon 10: Eleven Views of Afghanistan Push

Rachel Maddow knows her stuff — a trait lacking for anyone else in MSM. Her education puts the rest to shame:

From http://www.Maddowfans.com

A graduate of Castro Valley High School in Castro Valley, California, Maddow later obtained a degree in public policy from Stanford University in 1994. She then received a Rhodes Scholarship in 1995 and used it to obtain a D.Phil. in political science from Lincoln College, Oxford University.

First thing the surgeon ordered when I was in diseased-gallbladder-ready-to-burst-emergency-mode. Only time I’ve ever had it, but my goodness it completely numbed the pain/brain connection. I actually embarrassed my ex-husband because I refused to let them send me home from the ED.

Great stuff, the Dilaudid, not the ED. Loved my surgeon and nurses. Bless you for what you do kes. It was my calling, but I never made it, and it is the only accomplishment I deeply regret not accomplishing.
