Why Newt Should Win

I do/did consider the demographic Adlib. When I did some volunteer work in a retirement community, there were two TV programs that were on in many homes, The View and Wheel of Fortune. Liberal and conservative, males and females, it was on the tube. Agreed, it was but a micro sampling, 65+ homes and I’m sure not one of the retired white males would ever admit to watching it, but they were.
Will it have any affect on the most rabid of GOP primary voters? Perhaps not, but in the words of Karl Rove, turning 2% in every precinct can change a state-wide race and more than 2% of retired white males watched that show today and not some cable news program. that’s why I mentioned it.

She, Lizard Breath (no offense meant-it’s from the comic strip) has quite often gotten support on Faux for her RW speeches and being attacked by all those libruls, wonder if they will show this or just the Whoopie part?

Taking all your excellent analysis in mind AdLib, do you think Newt can go a whole month without saying something really outrageously dumb that would end his run? A month seems a long time for him to me.

The “X-Factor?”

Why post this here? This program is seen by more people than most “news” and pudnut talkers and the watchers are of all political stripes and colors. They can influence more votes than one may think.
So does Newt have a lock?

The United States gubernatorial elections of 2012 will be held in eleven states and two territories concurrent with other elections during the United States General election of 2012.

Weekend Music Thread – Hail and Farewell

I don’t know about that Sue, but is she singing this one?

The Daily Planet, Vol. 171

Much like the Kerry “I actually voted for it before I voted against it” being taken out of context, the “Dean Scream” was put it into a loop and made it look/sound like he “screamed” more than once thus making look like an idiot.
Not arguing with you, KQ, in fact I agree with you, just clarifying. I did like his chairmanship of the DNC and his 50 state strategy even though the purists didn’t like it, too many “blue dogs” even though they gave the Dems the majority and control of the speakership.

What Republicans Are Thankful For

Adlib, they could have had some frozen pizza stacked up under the sign, it is a vegetable now, which can now be served as a side along with the turkey. Brussel sprouts, bean casserole or pizza? 😉

» Posted By bito On November 23, 2011 @ 9:22 pm

Thank You, Sue!
( we will have to have Kalima tell us what they were singing)

The man’s a walking case of Alzheimer’s and probably has set some record for having it for 50 years without being in a nursing home. I wonder if he is thankful for that?
Is that a black thing? If there wasn’t Mac & Cheese at a Lutheran pot luck, someone was either sick and missing that day or in trouble. Same with the monthly Union (BLF&E) pot lucks. It’s inexpensive, cheap, home cooking. Black thing? Must be German/Swede/Lutheran too.

MMMM, greens, Crowder peas, corn bread and fried chicken! Now I’m hungry. OMG! I’m black! 😯

Idiot.

Well isn’t this special and just in time for Thanksgiving.

Pat Robertson Wonders if Mac and Cheese “Is a Black Thing.”

700 Club host Kristi Watts interviewed Condoleeza Rice and they both agreed that they love mac and cheese. (Who doesn’t!?) Pat Robertson, apparently from a planet where one does not eat mac and cheese, like, all the time asks Watts “What is this ‘mac and cheese’? Is that a black thing?”

I thought he was a good ole country boy?

I wonder if they make halal Mac and Cheese? 😆

Why no mention of Kosher turkeys, they are slaughtered basically the same way?

Oh, it’s not about the turkeys, it’s about those Moooslims.

Great work e’cat, ole Rasho has been missed and what would us libs ever do without that liberal HuffPo? 😆 A collection of Ziggy cartoons has more truth in it than their headlines and stories, hands down.

Yes welcome back Cher and bonus points for citing “The Monkey Cage” from me. Sometimes a bit too wonky for me but always interesting.

If you get the chance, this may look familiar to you.

Weekend Music Thread – Your Personal Soundtrack

Oh dear AB, beautiful and a flood of memories. I became as close to angered violence as I ever was when I saw someone spraying highly toxic chemicals without warning on “my girls.” I knocked him off his tractor and was just about ready to thrash him and throw him in a chemical infused “settling pond.” Something stopped me, Beautiful song about a real inhumanity to humanity because their skin color was brown and they “talked funny.” Thank you, AB!

OWS Episode V: The U.S. Empire Strikes Back

k’es, I wouldn’t say fairer at all, not a bit, but I have seen people get wrongfully accused and intimidated, work rules or not. I saw it happen to young RN’s by “respected” doctors because the RN’s wouldn’t take the blame for their mistakes, lucky for them they had all the bloody charting and paperwork up to snuff and one of the Admins was an RN who fought and protected her RN’s.
Believe from the video’s these two should never be allowed to ever be in any position of authority, all the way down to a nightwatchman at a closed junkyard–after an investigation.
“Hold on, let’s give them a trial first, then hang em.”
Paul Newman in Judge Roy Bean or maybe urban legend? 😉

» Posted By bito On November 21, 2011 @ 8:11 pm

In a what sound like a weird way, I hope they are on paid leave. It’s that Union blood I guess but I’m sure that all the officers, both the good ones and these two a**holes, have written work rules if not Union rules. I know, it’s strange, but I used to watch my dad prepare for grievance hearings and have to ‘defend’, represent the Union’s position on the brother’s action.
I can hear him saying, “this SOB was really wrong, but I’ll see if I can get his time off reduced.”
I want both these guys to get both criminal and civil charges, but until then, they deserve their ‘day in court” and the work rules followed.

This the latest I can find with a quick search on Scott Olsen, this was from yesterday:

Marine veteran feeling ‘better’ after Occupy clash

http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2011/nov/20/us-occupy-oakland-veteran-hurt/

Olsen, who was struck in the head on Oct. 25, said his speech is coming back but he has a lot of work to do with rehab. He was released from the hospital over the weekend.

Olsen told supporters they would hear more from him and he would see them soon in the streets.
