Hi KT…it’s on TCM this Monday or Tuesday night.

I am continuing my queen of camp theme. Lardini usually excels at this but he and Mrs. Lardini are celebrating their anniversary tonight.

Hi there, good one. Fred McMurray was so good in so many roles, he really sold out when he did My Three Sons.

The Kochroaches Emerge from the Woodwork

Hi PW……I’ve sent emails to Morning Joe and MSNBC daytime news asking why all the silence on the koch brothers connection. Heck, the emails are civil, no cussing and name calling. Alas, no responses, I don’t exist in their servers I’m sure. I’m sure when prime pops up it’s on auto delete. I’m in communication with some dense folks up north who have no clue about this. The media is very successful at keeping them ignorant. I guess when they see the massacre surrounding the national forests, only then will they wake up. It will be too late.

I Never Saw The Temple…..

Ha, LOL! Question, during your years in Catholic grade school, how many times were you pulled aside and given the talk about entering the seminary? I remember when my brother Denny AKA (Dennis the Menace) and he was always in trouble would come home and share that at the dinner table. My older sibs just laughed while my Mom and Dad had to suppress all emotions. I know my Dad was trying so hard to hold the laughter in. Hell, Denny had girl friends starting in Kindergarten, he never let up. By the time I was in 7th grade and the last year I had a nun for a teacher, Sr. Yvonne never posed the convent question to me. She was too busy calling my parents and warning them I was a prostitute in the making, being a cheerleader that could do the splits, what other path was I destined for?

Hi Wolf,

Bad Catholic girl here. When I was in second grade I had to receive the sacrament of confession before I could receive communion. Think about it, how many sins can a sweet innocent 8 year old girl like me be guilty of? Somehow I knew this was a bogus way to spend 20-30 minutes on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. I decided to stir things up a bit, I always confessed I had impure thoughts for two years or so until my parents made us stop going to confession. I’m sure Father Fr….knew it was me after awhile. I am from a family of ten kids, how can you not get impure thoughts when you finally find out how babies are made?:))

Chris…..In the words of the immortal Popeye….. I yam what I yam. Sometimes it’s not easy being me. It’s a full time job, doesn’t pay enough, but, who else is going to do it?:))

Endless Embrace

Whats….as someone who has been hurt, used, and lied to, I’m so cautious and scared to love again. This beautiful poem inspires though. I know true deep love can exist, I saw in in my parents and some of my siblings have found it as well. I see it in some of my friends too.

Aaaah, you never know:)

Stupid is as Stupid Polls

P….Check out the CNN MSNBC websites. It’s not just teachers and WI state union workers. Folks in the private sector are going to Madison as well. It’s the whole power grab that has folks up in arms. Look at the numbers on State St, the crowd is huge for a Tuesday. I’ve been in contact with folks up “north” of Hwy 29, busloads are headed down tomorrow from Superior, Hurley, and points south. I’m talking about NRA guys that are county sheriffs, road crew workers and who work for the WI DNR. They are livid.

Hey there, my oldest sister who lives in Middleton, 23+ years teaching and President of her school districts teachers union is foaming at the mouth. She’s there along with 2 of her sons, fellow teachers, and my brother-in-law I believe. P…..progressive radio, The Nation Magazine, and the media are all over this. He’s barricaded himself and is spending hundreds of thousands of tax payer dollars hiring outside security for himself, his family and staff members. The stupidity and hypocrisy is unreal!

» Posted By Thefoxislaur On February 15, 2011 @ 2:26 pm

As someone who has two sisters that are teachers in WI, and my Dad, another sister and two brothers that live in WI, I’m following the WI wackjob govonor walker and his union busting tactics carefully.

I’m posting this because that mans poll numbers are falling. In all likelihood he will be recalled in a year. Nationwide WI Governor scott walker is viewed in a negative light. IMO, the tipping point started in WI, it’s Citizens Unrest. The thuggery corrupt tactics of karl rove, the koch brothers, and the Citizens United ruling are under protest. The right wing should fear what is happening in Madison WI. Look for this movement and disdain to spill over nationwide. The majority of Americans view the above mentioned in a very negative light, polls reflect that.

The Deficit of Truth About Obama’s Budget

I finished reading Michael Moore’s Dude Where’s my Country last week which he wrote in 2003. It was good to read it and be reminded of all the lies told leading up to the wars, regarding the bush tax cuts and how our media was complicit in spreading the lies then. IMO, the media is worse today.

Our possible salvation, outlets like Current TV and folks like Hal Sparks and his Saturday morning 2 hour show utilizing the web to broadcast as well as radio and TV, at least for now. I’m sure there is plotting in back rooms to eliminate dissenting non right wing voices as I post this without causing an uproar.

Abby…this was my theme song going through my divorce. The New Radicals and this song are one of the reasons I survived what is one of the lousiest things a person can experience and come out stronger and perhaps wiser.

I got a Valentine card from a co-worker on Saturday. I knew he kinda had a thang for me but I never encouraged him or gave him the impression that I reciprocated these feelings. This is awkward! I have to work with him and need to be honest, nothing is going to happen between us. I’ve never encountered this situation, I’ve never worked in a job that this would take place. I’m too old, too out of touch, and too clueless to deal with stuff like this. I’m used to getting Valentines emails from my kids and now Valentines kisses from my granddaughter, that I can handle. God, I sound like a female McCain, “GET OFF MY LAWN” . I’m not, I just don’t like to be blind sided and feeling uncomfortable. Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

It’s obvious your inner teacher has been clawing its way out for some time now, rightfully so. Maggie is a good captive audience.
