McDaniel Lost…The Shot Heard Around The World

“… by once again reaching across the aisles, by once again compromising and by once again abandoning the conservative movement.” I couldn’t believe it when I saw him say that on the news. The GOTP b*tch and moan about our POTUS acting like a king but if you are unwilling to “reach across at the aisle” or “compromise”, isn’t that the same thing as “do it my way or nothing”? Isn’t that like being a dictator?

The Death of “A Good Guy With A Gun”

Back in the day the NRA was like “Ducks Unlimited”! It was primarily for those who loved to go duck or deer hunting and loved the outdoors. What is has morphed into today is scary — unrecognizable — kinda like the GOP and it’s scary offspring, the GOTP! If it were up to me, I would get rid of the 2nd Amendment altogether. It was clearly written in a time that made sense at that time — not now. But, like it has been pointed out here, we have so many guns in this country that we now need to reign things in and pass some reasonable and sensible gun laws.

I very much agree with your assessment. Especially the part about the “militia” groups at the ready to take on the government by force. It is ludicrous. And, I for one, am NOT comfortable with people who insist on open carry. I’ll take my chances eating at a restaurant that is gun-free — thank you very much!

One Veteran’s Opinion About the POW Swap

I believe this kid (and I say kid because they are so young to me) had a melt down. I am sure he felt we, the USA, did have a certain arrogance in our approach to not only the locals but the entire country. The last administration was all God, freedom and democracy, which aren’t bad (don’t get me wrong). But, I get the impression for some people, that gave us the right to impose our system of government because God loves us best. I am saving my judgement on Mr. Bergdahl.

Thanks for the link –very interesting. I feel for those men who are bitter about this whole thing but have decided to wait things out. I believe Bergdahl will be throughly investigated.

I deleted my HP account yesterday. It was like leaving on old pal but I simply could not reconcile myself to their new format and system. If I wanted to post comments on FB I would have posted a comments on FB. Why, was the question on my mind but I see the $$ rationale for their move now. This place was recommended so here I am.
