Thank you. “Public finance of public elections is the only just practice, and solution. None above, or below, another.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On June 5, 2014 @ 5:48 pm “The Republican and Democratic parties have delivered us into the hands of darkness.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On June 5, 2014 @ 5:37 pm The Death of “A Good Guy With A Gun” “An ocean of bullets. They had to wash up somewhere.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On June 7, 2014 @ 6:03 pm Gentle friend funksands, it will never be completed until I am gone, but I try to send out interim versions to those who request it. I must warn you though, it is quite disorganized, and not anywhere near as engaging as you may think. It is over 250 pages of sometimes conflicting thoughts, compiled over more than three decades. Email me if you’d like a copy so far. “Tyranny and tyrants do not change, nor does the character of those who defeat them. In knowledge of evils history we glean protection for its future defeat. In purveyance of good we gain sustenance for its eternal resurrection. This book is intended to provide the reader with a reference of past and present thoughts that may help humankind avoid its next, all too predictable, disaster.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On June 5, 2014 @ 8:48 pm “Our well regulated militia is killing our children, at will.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On June 5, 2014 @ 5:21 pm And we will never be able to prevent it fellow citizen Ponyjohn. I’m not against citizens having weapons, within reason. We can only make sure that they are not insane, trained in at least two week weapons and law courses, and registered. With a two week waiting period for any weapons purchases. And finally, a limit upon mass lethality. Say .38 caliber, with semi-automatics limited to 8 shots a minute. In most circumstances, enough firepower to protect the innocent, while at the same time crippling a madman. It is not a perfect solution, but will limit the slaughter now, until longer term human progress takes hold. “A brittle past. And crumbling future.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On June 5, 2014 @ 5:15 pm Indeed gentle friend AdLib, fear is the problem, and weakness, we must defend against. “We have much less to fear from each other than those who would make us afraid.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On June 5, 2014 @ 12:51 pm Thank you gentle friend AdLib. I have been writing a book for over thirty years now called “Wisdom, Warning, and Tyranny” where I have recorded many thousands of observations on the compassion, cruelty, and hope of humankind. When you see a comment surrounded by quotes and signed “SearingTruth” it is an observation from that book. » Posted By SearingTruth On June 5, 2014 @ 12:48 pm “Why we need fear another, that is the question we must answer. We have been delivered to ages of cruelty and inhumanity so many times that we seem unaware of it. And while evil does indeed exist, if we recognize how rare it is, and how common humanity is, our children will thrive. Together.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On June 4, 2014 @ 7:44 pm “It was easy to kill, so we had more death.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On June 4, 2014 @ 7:31 pm One Veteran’s Opinion About the POW Swap “I only remember shutting her eyelids.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On June 7, 2014 @ 6:41 pm Well spoken gentle friend Nirek. War indeed destroys many minds and souls, as well as bodies. “War. It was the easiest to spell.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On June 5, 2014 @ 12:42 pm “My saunter began in the garden, just a few misplaced parts there. I couldn’t really tell what they were, so I just walked through the broken door to the front room. And there it was. That head. As a misplaced ornament upon the armchair. And then looking down I saw the infants body and my knees slightly buckled. I had seen much horror, the body parts of children were a daily chore, but these bodies were just a little too intact. I could tell where the neck used to attach both. And since then I cannot be human. For I had fired the rocket that destroyed them. For the good of all humankind.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On June 4, 2014 @ 7:58 pm Huffington Post Finalizes Its Divorce From Its Bloggers Welcome gentle friend Harleigh. I can only recommend convincing instead of crushing. “Everyone with a bullet, and a sword, and a mission.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On June 7, 2014 @ 6:27 pm And it seems you have done an incredible job gentle friend AdLib. I wish I had known about this site years ago, and thank MurphTheSurf3 for leading me here. He is doing an incredible job in saving something that most, including I, had already considered lost. An entire community of people who care, on the left and right. He has even compiled lists of regular HP bloggers and led them to new places where their freedom of expression can be restored. While your compassionate work can never be repaid, we owe him, and all of you who created this site, a great deal of thanks. “The value of liberty was thus enhanced in our estimation by the difficulty of its attainment, and the worth of characters appreciated by the trial of adversity.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On June 5, 2014 @ 1:09 pm Gentle friend teddy55, I know how you feel. I felt bad leaving, and deleting so many years of debate, but knew it was the right thing. Thank you for following your heart instead of ego. “Fellow citizens, our founding fathers discovered, drew strength, and created our great nation from a simple truth. Freedom is a fountain that springs from within.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On June 4, 2014 @ 8:55 pm Welcome fellow HP posters! From the left, center, and right. Here is a place where you can truly voice your opinion, without fear of censorship or extended delays. And much more. I joined a few days ago, and have since cancelled my HP account. I am looking forward to conversing and debating with all of you in the future. “I did not like them. I did not like what they said. I did not like the way they said it. But I let them speak anyway, and offered protection against those who would have them silenced.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On June 4, 2014 @ 8:25 pm Thank you gentle friend Nirek. So far my rating is awesome. “I will experience my first contented evening with the suffering, saved.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On June 4, 2014 @ 7:24 pm Thank you gentle friend AdLib. “Perhaps instead we can achieve what others could not. Understanding, love, and peace. For all of humanity.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On June 4, 2014 @ 7:19 pm Gentle friend Aquarius 1027, I am glad you are here, and thank you for your kindness. I am looking forward to a lot of free speech here! “Freedom had been hunted round the globe; reason was considered as rebellion; and the slavery of fear had made men afraid to think. But such is the irresistible nature of truth, that all it asks, and all it wants, is the liberty of appearing.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On June 4, 2014 @ 7:14 pm I just removed my account from HP. I have a feeling that the lost years will eventually be regained by joining PlanetPOV. I hope that everyone who has ever fanned me, or opposed me and wanted to engage in uncensored debate, will join us. “I hope we disturb injustice.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On June 2, 2014 @ 10:27 pm It seems so gentle friend S-Man. I will try to make this my new home. With friends surrounding me. And opponents engaged in honest debate. “You wonder, how many are like us? When we are all the same.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On June 2, 2014 @ 10:00 pm Gentle friend funksands, I have been posting at HP for years. Until they abandoned humanity in place of cash. MurphTheSurf3 led me here, and has made a heroic effort for all of us. “A measure of humanity. That is all we must gage.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On June 2, 2014 @ 9:53 pm Gentle friend MurphTheSurf3, a very pleasant surprise. Thank you for your compassion and courage, and for leading me here. “A measure of humanity. That is all we must gage.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On June 2, 2014 @ 9:29 pm An HP refugee looking for a home. Is anyone here? “Compassion requires the greatest strength of all.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On June 2, 2014 @ 9:19 pm That was hilarious gentle friend EXFANOFARIANA! I sometimes have the same problem with Newcastle Brown Ale … And the support here is indeed excellent. I feel very bad for jumping the gun and falsely accusing PlanetPOV of censoring me. “I understand your human frailties, because they are much like mine, and the rest of humanities. We are all frail and weak, we all do things that shame us, we all make mistakes. But our character is not born from our perfection; it is instead born from how we deal with our imperfection.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On September 27, 2014 @ 6:39 pm Gentle friend EXFANOFARIANA, that was very sweet. Thank you. I value your friendship greatly as well. And I’m not going anywhere. “Our path, overfilled, has only been hidden.” A Future of the Brave » Posted By SearingTruth On September 27, 2014 @ 6:04 pm Awesome work gentle friend Kalima. The post is indeed there again. Thank you very much! » Posted By SearingTruth On September 27, 2014 @ 6:00 pm No problem gentle friend EXFANOFARIANA. There was nothing wrong with your post, and I always want people to speak their minds. I just wanted to make sure you got my answer. In any case, Kalima seems to have figured out that it was a technical problem, and I have apologized for falsely accusing PlanetPOV of censorship. » Posted By SearingTruth On September 27, 2014 @ 4:55 pm Gentle friend Kalima, I did post three almost identical answers in the MurphTheSurf3 article posted on September 22, 2014. They were in answer to a question EXFANOFARIANA posted asking if I would ever vote for Ron Paul or his son. The reason I answered three times is because my first answer was immediately deleted. It appeared at first, and then within a minute it was gone. I was quite surprised, because this typically only happens when a post is censored. So I tried posting the answer again, slightly rewording it because I was trying to figure out why it was censored. Again the post appeared at first, and this time seemed to stay. However, after I went to a different article to post something else, and then went back to the MurphTheSurf3 article my second answer was also deleted. Surprised and frustrated, I again posted a slightly reworded answer, and again it seemed to stick. However, by this time I was sure I was being censored, and attempted to post a civil goodbye to everyone. And then came the final shock, my third answer to EXFANOFARIANA, and the goodbye post, had both been deleted. I couldn’t figure out why, and since the post I made in the other article wasn’t deleted, I was then sure I was being censored. In any case, even now none of the answers I posted to EXFANOFARIANA are being displayed. I just checked again. If you could just restore the original answer I posted for EXFANOFARIANA that would be great. There is no reason to restore the other two attempts, or the goodbye post. And I’m sorry for falsely accusing PlanetPOV of censoring my posts, but I hope you can see from what happened why I thought so. It looked like typical censoring behavior. But still, I should not have jumped to conclusions, and instead should have made sure first. Again I apologize. I also thank you for taking the time to find the deleted posts. The only thing I don’t understand is how the first one could have been detected as spam, as it was longer than my usual posts, and not similar to anything else I posted. So this seems like some type of bug. The other two answers were very similar though, so having them flagged as spam makes sense. » Posted By SearingTruth On September 27, 2014 @ 4:47 pmComments Posted By SearingTruth
