Every Saturday night I would make a pallet next to her bed on the floor and we would watch a local show on in Kansas City called “Gregory Graves”. It would start with him coming out from behind a screeching coffin door leaning against the wall. He had bad vampire makeup and told jokes that only adults really got (so many went over my head). He was the host for the Saturday Night horror movie. They also associate at the bars which when I was there were private clubs. Because Mormons don’t drink, they only allowed liquor to be sold at private clubs. You paid $10 to join the club for a year and you could drink. The good thing about it was that they could not have an open bottle of liquor behind the bar. So, each drink had to have a full mini bottle in it and the bottle thrown away. You did get a good drink that way. After the Olymbics and needing more tourist, Utah did away with that law. They can use regular bottles and shots. Before they changed the law, you could bring your own bottle of wine (bought at the state liquor store) into a resturant but if you didn’t finish it, you had to leave it there. But, they are free to believe as such. You will get a different view of the religion if you live in UT (Sundance is not a real UT). You will see the control it has on the people. Yes, they do believe in caring for the poor. BUT, only the Mormon poor. Yes they fast, to cleanse the system, and use the money saved for the poor. That money is giving to the Ward for them to distribute to those they find “fit” of the need. They have food storage and are to only share, when the end comes, with fellow Mormons. They are instructed to use all means to not give to others once the big one hits. Maybe this explains Romney better.
