Zoot, they caught you in a matter of minutes?
N word talk of the Pres can linger.
How obvious they are.

They couldn’t make the Planet any more
mysterious and appealing then by banning the links or any mention of it.

I am just pissed off at the way they have treated so many of you guys.
You all deserved so much better.

That email exchange for me was in 09
I noticed a change after President Obama was elected,
it started out with some lesser things and just kept building.
Ecat talked earlier about the “Joe Biden Should Resign” post that was a huge turning point for me also.

» Posted By PatsyT On February 13, 2011 @ 9:03 pm

Oh Yes I heard that. Are we surprised?
Geez Cher we could put together a very titillating tell all book on the HP.
Hmmmm….

» Posted By PatsyT On February 13, 2011 @ 8:50 pm

It had a level of civility and you did not
find stories like “Celebrity Breasts -Guess Who Has Implants”.

Excellent Zoot! I love love love the graphic!

I joined HP back in 2008 just before the election.

Back in ’07 I had noticed my husband having laughing fits in his office.
So I asked, “What’s so funny?”
“Read this” he said hysterical and all.
There was what looked like a news story on his computer screen.
“What is so funny about this news?” I asked.

“Don’t read the story, scroll down and read the comments!” He squealed.

It didn’t take long to figure it out.
It was the comments that were worth reading and yes so often SO FUNNY!
Of course it depended on the story but even with a tragic story,
I felt like I was getting SO much more info by reading the comments.

Back then I really felt like HP was an intelligent oasis, a great place to share ideas.
It didn’t take long for me to wonder about the trolls.
Are they paid or can someone really think like this?
Both answers scary.

Then came this email exchange with Arthur Delaney in September ’09

That is just one of them.
It seems they keep coming back no matter how often I flag them.
Thank you, PatsyT

Good lord! Please do flag those, and I’ll alert a tech person.

OK so I wrote back

They use the underscore to get comments passed, and some of their names,
N words and all !
Thanks for your help.

Then his response

Thanks. I’m told this particular commenter has been a problem for a
few days. We’ll figure it out.

OK we also talked about a health care vigil but the thing that got me was
~this particular commenter has been a problem for a few days~

A few days? Why has this been going on for a few days?
I only sent Arthur the mild one.
The N word Language directed at POTUS and FLOTUS was totally hideous.
and it was up on that thread for hours and kept reappearing for days.

I thought about all the things that they could do in an instant.
Why did it take so long to fix that?

As for the spamming, come on,
I have seen so many people post links, over and over.
They post links to the “Blaze”
Look at the bottom of HuffPo pages and you will find links to Drudge.
But you can’t post a link to the Planet?

A Short List of Pres. Obama’s Accomplishments

Never Bito/Chartmaster, not me !

» Posted By PatsyT On February 13, 2011 @ 4:41 pm

ChoiceLady,

No pop quiz from me, just a question.
We should take note this is after two (more math) years in office
What numbers could we be looking at after another 2 years,
how about 6 more years?

We just have to do something about that
nasty Bhoner led house, hang onto the Senate and and and and
Ok thats enough math for me today.

I think I need to consult Bito about turning it into a chart with lots of pretty colors.

Excellent DawgBone! Very Funny!
That made me laugh… It’s true.
Puts it in perspective

Yep Boomer,

Having all that negativity coursing thru
your veins creates toxic hormones
which bring on premature aging.
There are studies on all of this.
Oh Boy, now I will have to go and look all that stuff.

I hope you are keeping away from the Black Ice!

AdLib,
I bet you won’t see this on Huffpo!
Last night, I posted the link to this list on funksands- Obama: Culture Warrior?
I am glad you put this up.

Promise Kept 134
Compromise 41
Promise Broken 38
Stalled 72
In the Works 219
Not yet rated 2

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/obameter/

Just looking at the Promise Kept # vs the Promise Broken #
Its 134 to 38
That sounds like a mighty big winning season to me.

If you include the Compromise # of 41 to the Promises Broken # of 38
That combined # is 79, still beaten by the Promises Kept # 134
134 to 79
What Basketball team would not want that winning record?

Now what if you take the Compromise # of 41 and ADD that to the Promise Kept # of 134
You get 175 Kept or Compromise vs the Broken of 38
175 to 38
Who can beat that?

Economic meltdown, two wars, terrorism, did Bush have any of these concerns?
We have not even talked about the handicap of the 24 hour a day
News/Hate Network launching attacks day in and day out.
The Hateio group of Rush and friends out shouting voices of reason.
And of course the firebaggers.

Frankly I can’t believe President Obama has accomplished this much.

Yep, Blackwaterdog left Daily Kos and quite an exodus followed!
All the negativity about President Obama that was building
was making some posters feel physically sick.
It is just plain bad for your health.

Following the Rightwing Fashion?

AdLib,
Watching all of that, I couldn’t help but think, he doesn’t need her, why is he doing this?
He is so quick to smear President Obama for corporate involvement, where is all that fire power now?
I would love to see a link posted here to all of the articles that Marion has on the Maher, Issa, Huffington, Britebart connection.
They lay out a pattern that is being confirmed over and over again right before our eyes.

Caru
Excellent observation.
I have been feeling this way for quite some time.

There was a big upset over at the DailyKos over this subject and….
There was quite a exodus at the Kos.
BlackWaterDog left and started another blog!

Like here, it’s one of the places to go to when you feel like the negativity is bringing you down.

Sarah Palin has been pushing that we stuff our kids with cookies just to piss off the First Lady!
Sarah Palin is a communist plant!
Oh how evil this plot is.
We have been deceived!
