Who ever wins in 2012 will most likely appoint the next Supreme Court Justice.
President Obama will NOT appoint a teabaging RW Dominionist, any republican will.

The Daily Planet, Vol. 145

Thanks Cher!
I like their cool map and how you can check in on all the different presentations.
The intrenched interests are depending on folks being overwhelmed and under-informed.
But guilt? No! I say if you feel guilty then you are already part of the solution because you at least recognize the issue.
Whooo Al Gore just started to talk!

Oh gee, If they are going to get miffed at the Solyndra costs,
Should they be heaving mad at this? $72 Billion

The fact is, there is a wide array of government subsidies, both implicit and explicit, that are doled out every year to fossil fuel companies. One estimate, by the Environmental Law Institute, finds that dirty energy companies in the United States alone have run up a $72 billion tab at the taxpayer’s bar from 2002 to 2008. Worldwide, it’s far worse; as this study by the OECD explains:

http://www.renewableenergyworld.com/rea/blog/post/2011/02/top-eia-energy-trends-watcher-no-definitive-count-on-dirty-energy-welfare

Of course we were told that with Nuclear Energy
“It’s too Cheep to Meter”
That has never proven true

Live Blog: Dumb, Dumber and Dumbest, The GOP Tea Party Debate

LOL AB, I just had that picture in my mind of
Jethro in front of his vat sized breakfast bowl.
Too bad he has none of Jethro’s brains, kindness or charm.

Well, no one would be doing this to line their pockets.
And it is very appropriate for people from outside of the OC to take part.
Nuclear Accidents are global events.

» Posted By PatsyT On November 29, 2011 @ 7:05 pm

The really fantastic part is that in the comments of the pro nukers sound like 1% ers- Arrogant, insulting, angry, controlling, we know better crowd.
I do worry that the people that run these plants have the same kind of thinking as the nuts that defend them on the web.
Orange County Register and it readers are getting a real education because the no nuke folks are posting real factual information that is frightening!
Take that you OC housewives!

» Posted By PatsyT On November 29, 2011 @ 6:56 pm

That seems to have worked for a few people.
Now, I am not above ‘creative’ ways of voting
when it comes to helping save peoples lives.
but don’t say you heard it from me 😉

» Posted By PatsyT On November 29, 2011 @ 6:42 pm

Ohh here you go Sue,
Vote Yes and thanks we have maintained at least a 20 vote lead all day!

Yes, this is just the tip of the iceberg, we have a huge battle ahead.
I can see I will be spending lots of time standing in front of
grocery stores gathering signatures, going door to door and the rest.
Still, just knowing that the editors and readers of
Orange County Register are reading the comments on that poll makes me very glad.
So many of them have their head in the sand.
Time to wake up.

The Nuclear industry is trying to keep support in the US for it’s precious power toy, how else can they fund the arsenal of nuke weapons.

I do check in nearly everyday to see what you feel is important about Japan.

» Posted By PatsyT On November 27, 2011 @ 7:23 pm

Kalima, Many here think that the truth is not being fully talked about or being delayed.
There is a virtual MSM news blackout of Fukushima here.
Not a word on any of the broadcast cable or network.
That is what really concerns me.

» Posted By PatsyT On November 27, 2011 @ 7:22 pm

Kalima I send so many prayers to Japan. I hope you and your kitty crew are well. One of the things that just really put me over was a story on the animals left behind.

» Posted By PatsyT On November 27, 2011 @ 7:08 pm

Kalima we are just 30 apart !!!
Geez maybe all this facebooking and twittering really can make a difference !
