Understanding How the Military Works

Murph, true on cheney.
I wonder why Bergdahl enlisted, too? Even so he did and got through all his training and was deployed. Probably bought into the “patriot” $hit until he saw first hand what was really going on. He probably saw unnecessary abuse and corruption and decided that he could not be a part of that.

So I feel his conscience steered him to make a bad decision and leave his post.

It is speculation on my part.

Funk, the military is supposed to be a defense. Why not give them the chance to actually defend our border especially our leaky southern border. I’m not talking about immigrants as much as drugs. Have them defend this country from the cartels that are killing people and hurting our youth.

Maybe we don’t have to lay them off. Just reassign them and their mission.

Beatlex, thanks. I have always wondered what we Americans would do if another country invaded our country. I for one would not “give them my heart or mind”. I would resist and fight any way possible.

Murph, does a sociopath have a conscience? I doubt it. I believe that cheney and the rest of the crime family are sociopaths.

I also believe it will come out that Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl has a conscience and that is why he didn’t seem to go along with the corruption. If I’m wrong , I’ll apologize. However I bet I’m right.

Murph, thanks for confirming what I was trying to say. You say it much better than I.
In my case it was just how I saw things. While serving in Vietnam I saw corruption. I have no doubt that the corruption is even worse than my time.
It is BIG business and they wont let a little thing like bidding on contracts get in their way.
How many congressmen/women and senators are not taking legal bribes? Probably not too many.

SLM,we need to have a military and we also need companies that make military equipment. What we don’t need is as much of the things they create. We already have too much of it.

Maybe it would be good for those companies to build things that are not destructive as well as their war materials.

The lobbyists are the biggest problem with their legal bribery.
