Kalima, this is senseless. The paper makes fun of Muslims and the response is to murder a dozen people?

Insanity!

Good day and Happy New Year, Kalima.
The photos tell so much and are incredible!
Love the lyrics to the song, thanks.
The AiaAsia flight that went down is so sad. The photos really tell how people are affected by tragedy.

Peace and good health and much love from this friend.

Good day and Merry Christmas Kalima, that story about the feds using a little known and little used law to try the cops who shot or strangled the unarmed black men and boys is interesting. Hope they use it.

Pope Francis continues to impress me. He is living a Christ like life. There is hope for mankind with people like him around.

Enjoy your hoildays and be well.
Peace on Earth, goodwill to all.

Kes, Merry Christmas.
You comment here often and the comments are always interesting. You and I seem to have similar thoughts on so many subjects, it is almost scary.
I wish you the best and hope you find the time to complete all your chores.
Peace

Good day Kalima, too much to comment on again. I do want to mention how proud I am of President Obama for the effort he made to normalize diplomatic relations. This is history in the making!
Diplomacy works far better than war or even sanctions.

The other thing I want to mention is Kim Jung Un flexing his puny muscles. Sony caved but the American people have not. Freedom of speech is important, and we don’t negotiate with terrorists. Corporations that are multinational have the right to, though. Sony is I believe a multinational corporation. I don’t like those corporations because they play games to avoid paying their fair share of taxed and to avoid our laws.

Stay warm and cozy and have a peaceful Christmas season.

Good day Kalima. I would love for the three of them to be sent directly to the Netherlands. It would heal some deep wounds around the world, in my opinion.
Peace.

So Kalima, acording to this link of yours http://www.nytimes.com/2014/12/11/us/politics/americans-involved-in-torture-can-be-prosecuted-abroad-analysts-say.html?_r=0

if cheney and bush and rummy were to be in Europe they could be arrested and tried? Or did I misread it?
If so I would love to buy them each a one way flight to whereever they need to go.

I’m reading some of these stories, Kalima. Just hard to type on the Kindal.
Peace

Kalima, thanks for all the stories, again!
As I’ve said before there are so many stories I don’t comment on all pf them. I actually come back several times a week to read another story or two.

Hope you have a great week, and thanks again for all your work.
Peace

Kalima, the snowblower broke a shear pin so I had to shovel that morning. Fixed the shear pin yesterday and cleared paths to the solar panels and the feeder. Cleared the snow off those too. Back to normal now.

Hope all goes well for you. get some well deserved rest, my friend.
Peace

Kalima, I just read the article on the Ebola vaccine. It seems very promising from the results. At least so far. A vaccine, if it works would be a wonderful breakthrough.

I am hopeful.

That clam on the shelf was amazing and comical to watch. Thanks for that.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Good day to you Kalima. Thanks for the Thanksgiving wish. I woke up this morning to get ready for a short trip to my daughters house, only to find a foot of snow that I need to move before we can go.

I’ll be back later to comment on the stories. Just finishing my coffee , then off to the shovel and snowblower.

Kalima, you have excellent taste, so I’m sure I’ll love it! Thanks so much for being you.

Kalima, I sent an email with my name and address but no preference of colpr. Whatever you send is fine because I like any and all colors.
Thanks again.

Kalima, thank you so much for the special mention. That was very kind of you.
Have a peaceful night.

Zeke, I wish I had found that for her. You did well , my friend.

Kalima, I wondered if it were some kind of cooking intrument, like a whisk? At first I thought it was from under the sea. That is until I scrolled down further.I must admit Monica’s answer confirmed my thought. Unless of course she is wrong. I’m sorry I forgot to answer the question in my missplaced response.
I would love to have an MB mug. BTW.

Kalima, I wish you a HAPPY ANNIVERSARY !
Five years bringing us news stories represents a lot of work on your part. I for one (many others, I’m sure) thank you for all the work.

Today is the day that President Obama is going to announce his executive orders on immigration. It will also be the day that the republicans will double down on their hatred of our President.

I honestly beleve that a big bunch of republicans are racists. They have blocked any effort he has made to make America better. They vowed to “fight him tooth and nail” on immigration as well. America is a nation of immigrants. We have always welcomed people from other countries. What the GOP is doing is un-American!

Once again Kalima, I will take your stories a few at a time and go through them. You bring so much information to us and we have, but, to read and digest it.

Peace

The Man Me Mother Married

KT, I third that emotion! FC is always welcome here. I too enjoy her comments.

Monica, on this and many other issues I agree with you.
PPO has a knack for writing. I look forward to more from him.

» Posted By Nirek On November 17, 2014 @ 9:57 am

PPO, we all have interesting stories. Yours seems more interesting than most because of the famous people you got to meet.
The only famous person I know is Senator Sanders of Vermont and my cousin Senator Leahy also of Vermont.

» Posted By Nirek On November 17, 2014 @ 5:20 am

Monica, PPO did a wonderful job, didn’t he? Makes you want to read more from him, huh?
Peace

KT, we seem to share a lot of things, you and I. I’m of Irish decent, was a lineman, veteran, and so much more. I think of you, Monica, Kalima, AdLib, PPO,Smot Kes and all the rest here at the Planet as friends or extended family.
PPO’s story is so well written. I think he should write more.

Peace

PPO, your generosity in sharing you rDad and his story as well as yours is great. Thanks for the well written if condensed story. By the way, you and I are the same age within months as I was born in 1946 also.
Your writing puts us (the readers) right there in the pub, dressing room, or home as if we could see and hear the famous people speaking.

Your Dad was a good man and your Mom seems to have been kinda patient with his bringing strangers home for dinner.

Again thanks for sharing such a treasure with us.

The Weekend Music Thread – Animals Are People Too!

FC, my Dad spent all of WWII in Europe. He taught me so much about our history. I’m glad your Mom and you found your way to the USA.

I think of my Dad every time I hear Taps.
