Roads and bridges rebuild Romney- we should do this…but government should not do it….taxes too much…spends too much….private sector should build them….blah…blah…blah…..WHY DO THE MODERATORS LET THIS HAPPEN….DUMB, FULL OF CRAP, OR CO-CONSPIRATORS. » Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On January 7, 2012 @ 7:15 pm Including making up a quote. » Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On January 7, 2012 @ 7:11 pm Which is why I really despise both Sawyer and Stephanopolous. » Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On January 7, 2012 @ 7:10 pm The Romnulans must be happy tonight……their man is escaping almost without contact from the others….no blood, no bile, no real spirit. » Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On January 7, 2012 @ 7:09 pm what does santorum believe the U.S. should have done in the face of Iranian protests and the elections…….no idea, no alternative….just blah, blah, blah. » Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On January 7, 2012 @ 7:07 pm Paul just gave the Obama Navy a hat tip. Good for him. » Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On January 7, 2012 @ 7:05 pm Quite so. And those Iranians left wearing U.S. Navy caps. » Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On January 7, 2012 @ 7:02 pm Iran come back into Iraq: Perry. What alternate universe is he in? » Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On January 7, 2012 @ 7:01 pm Newt, when the Iranians went out into the Straits of Hormuz they were met by the U.S. Navy….the message was clear. » Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On January 7, 2012 @ 6:59 pm THE VERY FACT THAT THESE FOLKS WANT TO USE THE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT PROCESS TO DEFINE MARRIAGE….shows that they do not understand either marriage vs. matrimony, or how rights are associated with a relationship by law vs. those rights being intrinsic to the relationship. » Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On January 7, 2012 @ 6:56 pm I repeat Marriage is NOT Matrimony. As to the Catholic Church decision…..I sign of its backwardness and not an argument in favor of the dominant position on that stage. » Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On January 7, 2012 @ 6:52 pm In Europe, Marriage is NOT Matrimony. It is a legal contract made by a license witnessed by the civic authorities. Matrimony is a religious experience that takes place, if one wants, AFTER the legal contract is completed. Simple, really. » Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On January 7, 2012 @ 6:46 pm I dislike romney more and more each day…. » Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On January 7, 2012 @ 6:42 pm Romney….argue with the moderator when a question is not to your liking. » Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On January 7, 2012 @ 6:40 pm Like I said…I do not trust either Sawyer or Steph….no confidence in either, corporatists both. » Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On January 7, 2012 @ 6:38 pm Romney is making notes on his acceptance speech for the nomination. Guess where I am not tonight for the Debate Party… Still appreciative of our “conversation” last week. MTS » Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On January 7, 2012 @ 5:56 pm My question…will the moderators tonight be up to the challenge? I do not have confidence in either of the ABC mods and the local mod is an unknown. » Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On January 7, 2012 @ 5:55 pm Hey there Ad Lib….could live blog like this one be done the same way we do Vox? The IM format seems easier for me in keeping track of the comments. Just wondering. I will be logged in tonight, reading along and commenting as the muse hits me. » Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On January 7, 2012 @ 5:50 pm Free to Assemble- Not in Indiana; A GOP Tactic at Work I wanted you to see this: I used the Five Cent 175th anniversary stamp for two reasons. I wonder if there are jurists and legslators in these red states who give a plug nickel for the fullness of the Constitution and are not totally invested in the narrowest of interpretations that support their policy positions. 1966 was the 175th Anniversary….the height of the Civil Rights Movement and the mid point of the anti-War movement. Feminism was on the march. And so much more. It all feels like ancient history. ==================== I believe that for the GOP there is no option now….they want to seize the entire government and make it impossible for the Dems to ever be anything but a Minority Party. Redistricting, Block the Vote, Anti-Unionism, Mega Money, Media Control. » Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On January 2, 2012 @ 3:36 pm I used the Five Cent 175th anniversary stamp for two reasons. Any idea what a reasonable crowd really is for the interior of the capitol building? » Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On January 2, 2012 @ 3:26 pm A good question and not one to which I can find a ready answers. » Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On January 2, 2012 @ 3:24 pm Coalition of Church and State Revisited: Convincing The Public Read your last couple pieces and am considering a response. Well done, both. Yes, the Assemblies HQ is in Springfield Mo. The pastor I mentioned…..I let him know I posted his story. He told me that about half of the Baptist churches with multiple associations have dropped their SBC affiliation. There is now a national commission appointed by some oversight body in the church that is looking into Dominionism influence. » Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On January 4, 2012 @ 4:06 pm Sue. Nice going. Your ongoing reports on this dangerous philosophy (masked as a religion) are always informed and informative. Valuable (and frightening). Do you know these sources: I know a Baptist Minister who has led his Congregation in a disassociation from the SBC to the North American Baptist Conference….quite a thing to do in rural Missouri. He did it by showing how the SBC had moved into association with the Dominionists. He convinced his Board of Elders that beneath its Christian trappings, it is a dangerous cult. The Elders in turn convinced the membership. They lost a few families but gained a number as well. I have been sharing your material with him. » Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On December 31, 2011 @ 11:24 pm ‘Twas The Newt Before Christmas – A Political Parody It is a good article, actually great, but the word is not on the streets. I think this is important. What is a Deval Patrick associate doing in this? » Posted By MurphTheSurf3 On December 13, 2011 @ 8:08 pmComments Posted By MurphTheSurf3

The GOP Debate
As to your remarks. I know you are right about the Constitutionality of the laws but judges have upheld blatantly unconstitutional statutes before and given the the nature of our Supreme Court (and God help us the future Supremes if O loses)….I am not confident.
