Hmmmm…..I make no such assumptions.

A single sentence (“I REALLY appreciate how much you have contributed to the life of the Planet….no critique of you in all of this…none….”) is not inordinate praise.

I am not admin and made it clear that I was not being critical.

I am a progressive and take an interest in clear presentation especially on a thread under an article I authored.

There is no censorship at work here. Your contributions remain in place.

I respectfully disagree.The presence of the headline, and of the CBS Evening News Logo is misleading. Since the video is not a part of an acknowledge satiric platform (like Colbert, for example), I tend to be cautious in matters like this.

Hey there….I just left this note for KT…I think it sums up my thinking on the video:

I REALLY appreciate how much you have contributed to the life of the Planet….no critique of you in all of this…none….I know you knew but others may not AND I still don’t care for the effect that slow down has as I don’t find humor in giving the impression that Sarah is “slow” (in the old sense of that word) or drunk (as the son of an alcoholic). If I am being overly sensitive, I do not intend to be.

I KNOW that we can count on you to contribute really interesting comments, info and insights.

I still do not know the source of the video. I do not find it funny.

I read a commentary about the video that pointed out that her slowed speech can be taken as a symptom of being mentally impaired, intellectually challenged or chemically addicted, and none of that is funny.

Each of your examples underlines my oft-repeated point:

McCain would have placed this ignorant and arrogant woman within one heart attack of the Oval Office. I think it is true that McCain was convinced by his staff that she was a diamond on the rough, a quick learner, and a hard worker. None of this was true and when he learned differently he should have jettisoned her. In not doing so, he made a mockery of hi campaign slogan: Country First. Nope. He made it clear that it was “ME First”.

Monica, I am curious. Have you any reaction to the comments from myself, KT, or Nirek about the nature of the video….tampered with and not labeled as such….? Where did you find it? Was it from a satirical site or from a site that seemed to be presenting it as bonifide?
