» Posted By Kalima On June 15, 2019 @ 9:23 pm New Developments in the HB-142 Court Case (Carcano et al vs Cooper) Unless restrooms for women in America also install urinals, something I have never come across anywhere in the world, what will other women see once the door is closed? The immorality is in denying those who identify as females, operation or not, the right to use the restroom they identify with. It’s a form of prejudice and judgement that causes damage to the transgender community. So far this year, 10 transgender women have been brutally murdered. This narrow minded bias will just escalate that misguided and misinformed hate. » Posted By Kalima On June 18, 2019 @ 6:52 pm The Great Conservative Snort Off I’ve only posted at HP, when things became so tacky, we left and eventually started The Planet. With Boris now in the lead, I regret the day when I became a naturalised Brit. No voting if you lived abroad. Snotty people when you came for a visit. No bank account unless you lived there, but very expensive council tax on a property you inherited but didn’t live in. My hubby and I returned for a crazy week in 2016, sold the house, met my father’s neighbours to take them out for a meal. Visited my parents grave and spent a few days with my sister in London. My first time back since 85’ and I knew that I could never live there again. If the Brits vote for an imbecile like Boris, then that is even more reason never to return. The Tories, like the Republicans in the U.S. just don’t know how to govern or how to improve the economy. With this Far Right/Russia inspired and funded Brexit disaster, many companies are leaving or have left already. Always have a soft spot in my heart for the Irish. My first roommate in London was Mary from Belfast. She taught me how to smoke, swear and how to tell jokes. A good Catholic girl. 🙂 My dad trained there before they sent him off to Gold Beach in Normandy, June 6th,1945. Great to have you on board, Kevin. This was fun. Boris Johnson is every bit as dull and evasive as his minders hoped » Posted By Kalima On June 13, 2019 @ 10:50 pm Hi Kevin, and welcome to The Planet. Depressing if one is a Brit, and depressing if you’re not. To become the huge arseholes they are, Boris and Doris must have done so much more than a bit of sniffing and snorting. They are part of the Cameron, Osbourne Eaton crowd of privileged males who learned almost nothing. The Proud to be Dumb team. Wouldn’t vote for any of them and never for a Conservative anyway. Nasty Little Nigel is being investigated and should be in jail. What a bloody mess! Enjoyed your piece. Thanks. » Posted By Kalima On June 11, 2019 @ 6:37 pm Weekend Music Thread – I’d Love to Change the World Norah Jones-Sunrise

» Posted By Kalima On June 1, 2019 @ 8:06 pm The Cynical Charade of “Pro-Life” Politicians To your point about adoption, kes. A woman who grew up in foster care explains why the ‘adoption not abortion’ argument doesn’t fly. A bunch of misinformed white guys deciding the reproductive fate of millions of women is a very unchristian thing to do. As is the judging of others through your own beliefs. The American Taliban practicing Sharia Law is what I call it when so-called Christians legislate based on their religious beliefs. It’s unconstitutional, morally wrong and as Jesus himself said, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone”. » Posted By Kalima On June 2, 2019 @ 7:01 am https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmMvsAjCkog
» Posted By Kalima On May 31, 2019 @ 12:58 am For the Planet’s Transgender Columnist: A First Post A warm welcome to The Planet, Angela, and we hope that you will soon feel at home here. Will be very interested in hearing more from you. Again, welcome. » Posted By Kalima On May 29, 2019 @ 8:06 pm Welcome to the New PlanetPOV!!! Swatting repubs with a newspaper, or blackmailing them to conceal indiscretions or bribes is how he has always rolled. The only difference now is that his mob connections have grown to include Russian mobs too. How can he ever make any deal when he has no clue how to make one. Everything about him is fake and always has been. Such a weak and pathetic excuse for a human being. » Posted By Kalima On May 27, 2019 @ 7:05 pm Hovering with my finger on a touch screen doesn’t quite crack it. Will practice. With over 200 missiles aimed directly at Tokyo, he’s talking through the back of his hairnet. Japan was not amused. » Posted By Kalima On May 27, 2019 @ 5:25 pm Once I figure out what all these little icons do, without blowing up The Planet, I’ll be ready to orbit. Thanks again for everything. To rid us of the stench, we will have to remove him and fumigate the misguided perception that any of this was ever normal. None of it is or was. » Posted By Kalima On May 27, 2019 @ 4:48 pm Happy Anniversary, AdLib! To our longtime Planeteers, a huge thank you for your support and inspiring conversations. Welcome to all our new members, we nope you will enjoy it here with us. I saw you working through the night and wanted to shout a loud thank you for your selfless dedication to get us up and running for this launch. You are my hero. Now get some sleep. Trump is leaving today, and I can finally open the windows again. Later. » Posted By Kalima On May 27, 2019 @ 3:13 pm Weekend Music Thread – My Hero
» Posted By Kalima On May 26, 2019 @ 12:58 am Lol, exactly. As if there wasn’t enough for you to do. I hope to sleep in June too when I can stop worrying about you not getting enough sleep. Gokorosama! » Posted By Kalima On May 25, 2019 @ 11:10 pm Yep, when I tried some time ago, I got a “Not Secure” message. » Posted By Kalima On May 25, 2019 @ 10:50 pm Test. Sorry for the off topic but trump caused the earth to shudder here. Trump landed in Japan and we had quite a big earthquake in the afternoon. Not surprisingly he has already criticised Japan on trade, still believing that anyone would buy big U.S. cars that would not fit through our narrow streets or find space to park. He then criticised Joe Biden in a foreign country. Abe needs to have his head examined if he believes anything trump tells him. Just imagining that this madman is only miles away, makes my skin crawl. — What’s with the hair? Trump knocks trade advantage while urging Japanese business leaders to increase investments in U.S. » Posted By Kalima On May 25, 2019 @ 5:58 pm Hi Aquarius and thank you for your kind words. We are glad that you decided to make The Planet your second home. Thank you also for understanding the flux of emails. Annoying, yes, but a genuine tech kerfuffle, that AdLib fixed as soon as he noticed. Unfortunately it wasn’t quick enough for some. I got them too and neither of us are here 24 hours a day. Thanks again and we hope you will enjoy the new site. » Posted By Kalima On May 25, 2019 @ 5:40 pm Lol!! Got it! Happy to help. » Posted By Kalima On May 25, 2019 @ 3:52 pm Thanks, ppo. We are equally happy to have both you and Fergi here with us. Enjoy the new site and see you later. » Posted By Kalima On May 24, 2019 @ 8:07 pm Thank you! Yes, quite a year. You remembered my birthday too. Again thank you for everything you do, and for understanding without me ever having to utter a single word. See you on the other side of many changes. All of them good I hope. » Posted By Kalima On May 24, 2019 @ 8:02 pm Thanks, Murph. It’s been quite the ride but we are still here doing what we have always done, fighting for the truth, equality, dignity and democracy. It’s been difficult at times losing people to Twitter and Facebook, but we still believe that nothing compares to a place where we feel safe, where conversation and opinions can grow and flourish. Thanks for the shoutout and we hope to welcome new members and welcome back old members too. » Posted By Kalima On May 24, 2019 @ 7:55 pmComments Posted By Kalima

Now he’s blackmailing silly Abe into talking with Iran in exchange for a delay on trade deals after ripping up the nuclear deal with Iran. Up is down. Black is white, but stupid is stupid.
