Displaying 1,741 To 1,770 Of 18,974 Comments Welcome to The Planet – A Guide to Blogging at PlanetPOV I love and respect nature too Nirek, and my motto through life has been to never give up. Must be my stubborn German/Taurean head. Any time you want to try again or would like me to post a picture for you, let me know. π » Posted By Kalima On December 16, 2013 @ 2:28 pm Nirek, when I checked, you had done everything right but had only copied half of the URL. You need to keep your cursor over the link and slide it to your right until it stops moving and then copy it. If you don’t want to try again right now, you can upload the picture like before, and I would be happy to post it for you when you ask me to. » Posted By Kalima On December 16, 2013 @ 1:49 pm The Weekend Music Thread-Part 2 Next time he sleeps on my computer I will, and post it. I’ll just have to make sure that I’m not logged in here. Nice to see you again, now I have to go, it’s lunchtime. » Posted By Kalima On December 14, 2013 @ 8:39 pm Hello e’cat, yes, something like that, and now he’s fast asleep on my lap pretending he didn’t do anything. I’ll take a photo the next time. π » Posted By Kalima On December 14, 2013 @ 8:30 pm Thank you KT, I feel really bad about this, and will never leave an open computer around again. Once, Tiger, my naughty boy, finished a whole email for me with many x..es. It looked something liked this. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx » Posted By Kalima On December 14, 2013 @ 8:19 pm KT, after all that hunting, I take full blame. It was either me or one of our cats sitting on my keyboard when I went to answer my doorbell. I’m really sorry, and it won’t happen again. Kalima blew up The Planet. π³ » Posted By Kalima On December 14, 2013 @ 8:03 pm Ha! It’s much more than just a faulty flux capacitor with me. Enjoy your evening KT, and hope it wasn’t totally ruined by the loss of the first post. My morning begins. » Posted By Kalima On December 14, 2013 @ 4:38 pm And no one can stop it, although I’ve tried.:) » Posted By Kalima On December 14, 2013 @ 4:20 pm My pleasure, and it’s part of my job here too. Enjoy! » Posted By Kalima On December 14, 2013 @ 4:19 pm Not at all KT, just sorry that you lost such good music videos. » Posted By Kalima On December 14, 2013 @ 4:13 pm KT, you are back up and I found your image in the media library, thank goodness. » Posted By Kalima On December 14, 2013 @ 4:07 pm Ladies and Gentlemen, Our Corporate Anthem Hi RF Dude. You have written an excellent first post here at The Planet and thank you. I was anazed because my hubby and I were discussing this very same subject last night, and I said that I firmly believe that one day there will be a global “revolution” against inequality. We only have to look at what has happened in the ME in the last few years, and is happening in parts of Europe against austerity, and Thailand against corruption as I type this. It will happen, but maybe not in my lifetime. People all over the world are waking up from a deep sleep of oppression and economic depression, and it’s only a matter of time. Oh, and corporations are not people, despite what your RW SC says. It was one of the most shameful rulings in the history of the court. One day, enough will really be enough. Welcome to The Planet. » Posted By Kalima On December 15, 2013 @ 2:45 pm You’re welcome! Practice makes perfect, or so they say, but I don’t believe them, whoever they are, because I never did really learn how to swim. » Posted By Kalima On December 18, 2013 @ 3:12 pm Sorry Smot, I was having way too much fun reading it in EDIT, that I forgot to do my job. Great first post, and the way it was written, I felt as if I had been an observer at the next table. Yes Karma is a bitch but she has come into my life at times, for all the right reasons. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. » Posted By Kalima On December 18, 2013 @ 2:19 pm AOL To Buy Delta Airlines: Will Require All Passengers to Fly Naked π thanks for the laugh out loud pinkpantheroz, and a goodnight from the land of the rising sun. Enjoy your day. » Posted By Kalima On December 13, 2013 @ 6:06 am As far as I can tell, “thinking for yourself” is already banned in the red states so as not to embarrass the governors and the rest of the RW lawmakers who unfortunately don’t know how to think. It was only a matter of time before it caught on. Let’s say that if forced to fly naked in the future, the airline should clamp down on serving any food or fizzy drinks inflight, and at least 3 hours before takeoff. π― I’m beginning to feel quite ill here thinking about beans, cabbage, onions and beer. They will need a “No “you know what” section. » Posted By Kalima On December 12, 2013 @ 5:46 pm Good job that I don’t live there and prefer trains. Eewww!! Thanks for my morning laugh again, AdLib. Hilarious!! Ok, off to throw out the trash, anything to throw out apart from the TP and the majority of the GOP, my bin isn’t big enough for all of those crazy buggers. » Posted By Kalima On December 12, 2013 @ 5:13 pm Huffington Post Goes NSA on Its Members I suppose we will have to wait to hear. As usual I just flew in and out so it could be that I misunderstood. Then again, I believe the war was about private revenge and oil. » Posted By Kalima On June 11, 2014 @ 8:57 pm Hi KT, I can think of one of them. Saddam Hussein was paying Palestinian families a cash reward if their sons volunteered for suicide bomb attacks against Israel. It was later confirmed by many different sources. » Posted By Kalima On June 11, 2014 @ 8:44 pm No I’m not Japanese but my hubby is and that’s why I’m here. I’m European born in Germany and moving to England first as a 9 year old, and later a 13 year old. I do speak Japanese but don’t read Kanji, your Japanese is fine. My name comes from one of my cats, her name is Kali. The “ma” is self explanatory I think, π So in Japanese I will wish you a Happy New Year again, and look forward to you joining our discussions here on other posts. Yoi Otoshi yo!! Glad you found our Members List useful. By the way I do a blog here, Morning Blog, where I bring international news stories, opinions and human interest stories almost every day. It used to be every day but the new paywall system got the better of me. You can find it in the four widget boxes on the right of your screen, above the Recent Comments and Recent Posts widgets. Or even easier, here. https://planetpov.com/2013/11/20/morning-blog-11-20-13/ » Posted By Kalima On December 30, 2013 @ 4:03 pm I found it and answered below . No problem. π » Posted By Kalima On December 30, 2013 @ 3:37 pm Hello again NoManIsAnIsland, it might be that the comment you are looking for from Aquarius is on another page because there are many comments on this post. You could try clicking on Members Directory, finding Aquarius on the members list, then clicking on their name to see their profile page and recent comments. If there is a red reply button under the comment you are replying to, it also makes it easier to find if you reply there. Yes I suppose it must feel very different here with all the freedom we offer at The Planet, but once you get used to it, it seems like paradise after all the restrictions imposed on members who post on HP. I’m in Tokyo which means I’m 17 hours ahead of PST, and 14 hours ahead of EST. So let me wish you Happy New Year with hopes that it will be a good one. Hope to see you here again next year. π » Posted By Kalima On December 30, 2013 @ 2:16 pm Hello NoManIsAnIsland and welcome to The Planet. When I left in 2009, I went to my comments, copied them all, pasted them into Text, and then printed them out. The comments/replies to you can be more complicated and take some time, but when I was there you could click on your comment and it would take you to the article and your comment, and you could copy and paste the replies from other posters. If they were comments not connected to yours, it helps if you can remember the article they were posted on. If the comments you want to keep are from your fan base, you just go to your list of fans, click in their username and their comments should show for you to check through and copy. Good luck. π A bit of work but if you want to save them, it’s worth the effort. » Posted By Kalima On December 26, 2013 @ 6:13 pm Hello QBD and welcome to The Planet. WordPress is the software system we use to run the site and in the last almost five years of running The Planet we have never had any security breaches and are quite secure. Our Twitter account is mainly to promote our articles that are written by members here. We have over 1200 followers who retweet our articles, and we retweet interesting stories from our followers. There is no compromise of security or private information, and the only way for anyone to get that information is, if you offer it yourself. The Planet is safer than many sites. Just don’t give out personal details like your email address in a comment because we will immediately remove it to protect your privacy. If you want to share your email address with a member here, please ask us in Admin to pass it on for you as long as the other member is in agreement. Here is how you can keep updated to replies to your comments. You can either tick the box under your new comment before you submit it, or go to Settings in your Dashboard. Click on “Comment Reply Notifications”and then click on appropriate box. You will then get alerts when members reply to your comment, in your inbox. » Posted By Kalima On December 22, 2013 @ 5:33 pm AN, congrats on deleting your “Dark Side” account, and welcome back. We have missed you. π » Posted By Kalima On December 19, 2013 @ 5:32 pm Welcome to The Planet Reincarnation_TPS. We are a Progressive political site without advertisers, we run on a voluntary basis and keep going on donations and private sources. We are interested in both news and politics, but we don’t do the “fluff” pieces here. People can go to HP and many other sites to read those. All of our articles are written by members and Admin. If you would like to see how The Planet works, here is a link to a recent post by AdLib. Feel free to add your comment on any of the articles. https://planetpov.com/2013/12/16/welcome-to-the-planet-a-guide-to-blogging-at-planetpov/ » Posted By Kalima On December 18, 2013 @ 8:29 pm Just in case you missed them, there are two new posts by AdLib. Everyone is welcome to comment. Welcome to The Planet a guide to blogging at Planetpov https://planetpov.com/2013/12/16/welcome-to-the-planet-a-guide-to-blogging-at-planetpov/ Social Security, Medicare, the deficit, poverty, unemployment, one vote could help them all. » Posted By Kalima On December 17, 2013 @ 7:12 pm Hi AdLib, and it’s been worth every second of the ride. We haven’t strayed a mm from our main objective to give members a chance to say what they want to in a safe and free blogging environment. Had we gone the other way and allowed advertisers to tell us what to do, we probably couldn’t have kept to our basic principles, and the main reasons we started The Planet. Fond memories indeed, but with a few ups and downs on the way. Cheers! » Posted By Kalima On December 17, 2013 @ 5:10 pm These two videos bring back some fond memories of new beginnings, AdLib. Thanks for posting them again, they are still just as funny and truthful today. » Posted By Kalima On December 17, 2013 @ 3:46 pm Oh, I enjoy it too, but reading through up to 100 stories every day before I choose some of them, can be a bit tough on the old peepers. Still, I started it, so will continue. Cheers! » Posted By Kalima On December 16, 2013 @ 4:16 pmComments Posted By Kalima
