George and his thugs were wrong from the conception, Iraq has always been about religious beliefs and the rest of the mindless, Republicans are still wrong in their assumptions. » Posted By Kalima On December 9, 2009 @ 6:41 pm INCREMENATALISM: Grown Up or Beaten Down? 😆 » Posted By Kalima On December 8, 2009 @ 9:34 pm “Those were the days my friend, we thought they’d never end……………..” » Posted By Kalima On December 8, 2009 @ 4:03 pm I find no words to explain this, the link below or the death of Neda and this heartbreaking statement by her mother a week later. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/dec/10/amnesty-criticises-iran-abuse 8.36am, yesterday: » Posted By Kalima On December 10, 2009 @ 5:00 am KK after reading the comments dealing with your suggestion yesterday, it is inevitable that there would be more of the same, you must have read all the comments yourself. No it’s not an assumption at all, it would be a fact and please we should be considerate of other members if we are as you say, be truly progressive. I hope that some of what I said makes sense in the big picture and hope to see you again soon. Take care. » Posted By Kalima On December 9, 2009 @ 9:38 pm It’s not an assumption, I have read the endless comments and posts about things that go on at HP and know that for most people it is just a healing process, I did the same at another site in April but it was brief. I’m just saying that there is a difference with the site that is now HP and what we see the Planet growing in to, so the sooner people rid themselves of the furor over HP, the better our site becomes. As I said before, reading through all of the comments here, the majority of members view the Planet as a refuge from HP and will react strongly to the suggestion that it’s ok to carry on with it here. Again, everyone is welcome if they follow the rules, if they don’t you are not the one who will be putting in the effort, the hours of private time and getting the headache to have to deal with the situation every time it happens. Oh and boycotting this site in the hope of us bending our rules because someone doesn’t like a poster and said poster hasn’t broken the rules, is not a very viable option and will not change anything here. » Posted By Kalima On December 9, 2009 @ 9:01 pm It has nothing to do with grudges KK, it has to do with the gradual deterioration of HP, the stress of dealing with foul mouthed trolls and the need to express ourselves freely without interruptions. If someone enjoys these mindless exchanges, they have HP to do it on, but not here. » Posted By Kalima On December 9, 2009 @ 5:00 pm Sorry to hear that. Don’t worry yourself about any disturbance, we aim to follow our rules. » Posted By Kalima On December 9, 2009 @ 4:34 pm Good evening bito, you sound a little down, everything ok? » Posted By Kalima On December 9, 2009 @ 4:04 pm As owner of this site I think that AdLib has every right to do as he sees fit with disruption in any form in this community. We don’t judge or demand a litmus test but expect people to abide with our rules of use and be respectful to other members. Once that line has been crossed several times, we have to consider the other members first. This site was created by months of careful thought and discussion, we wanted it to be the complete opposite of our experiences at HP, we will strive to hold on to our convictions and try hard to keep it this way. Fyi, we as founding members are not exempt from our own “Rules of Use” I can assure you of this. » Posted By Kalima On December 9, 2009 @ 3:40 pm I haven’t been unfanned at HP unless someone was banned and their profile was deleted, but I have been unfriended at Digg, do I win any consolation prize? » Posted By Kalima On December 8, 2009 @ 9:30 pm That’s good, I was concerned. The more the merrier. » Posted By Kalima On December 8, 2009 @ 8:30 pm nelli, I hope that you did not take the comment about FaceBook as snark, it wasn’t. I left you a reply below somewhere. Sorry. 🙁 » Posted By Kalima On December 8, 2009 @ 8:23 pm Absolutely not, I’ve known MissFrenchy from other blogs. She is an intelligent and caring blogger who writes great articles. » Posted By Kalima On December 8, 2009 @ 8:17 pm LOL! » Posted By Kalima On December 8, 2009 @ 8:07 pm There is no need for talk of leaving FM, I think that we have all made our feelings on this matter, perfectly clear. » Posted By Kalima On December 8, 2009 @ 6:06 pm “I do plan to speak my mind and won » Posted By Kalima On December 8, 2009 @ 6:01 pm You are welcome. » Posted By Kalima On December 8, 2009 @ 5:50 pm Welcome to the Planet kalicowgirl. Go to the bottom of the page, you will find a comment box there, enter your comment and submit. » Posted By Kalima On December 8, 2009 @ 5:46 pm I’ve addressed the banning question below. » Posted By Kalima On December 8, 2009 @ 5:39 pm We don’t ban unless it’s a last resort. The only person with the authority to ban is AdLib. Do we really want him to have to deal with this as well as everything else he does? » Posted By Kalima On December 8, 2009 @ 5:33 pm I know nellie and thought that it was a great idea. » Posted By Kalima On December 8, 2009 @ 5:30 pm Maybe she joined thinking that she could comment there but thanks to you, no one can. » Posted By Kalima On December 8, 2009 @ 5:24 pm My question would be, why is she there? » Posted By Kalima On December 8, 2009 @ 5:11 pm Many others have and it wasn’t pretty. Don’t be fooled into believing that those who claim to be on the left, are actually Liberals, Progressive or in fact Dems. Some people just love to play mind games, I’ve seen them all. » Posted By Kalima On December 8, 2009 @ 5:09 pm After some of the things she has written I’m not all that sure it is such a great idea. Her racist comments would be sure to start major conflicts here, a thing we have talked about and tried to avoid since the site was launched. Conflicts, hate speech and troll bashing belong to Huff in my opinion. People with opposing viewpoints are welcome here, people looking to stir the pot are not. Oh and before I forget, there are many opposing views here if you care to look through the posts when you have the time. » Posted By Kalima On December 8, 2009 @ 4:58 pm KK, I did suggest at the beginning of this thread that naming names here might not be such a good idea. I’m thinking of all of us here and also the image of the site we strive so hard to protect and promote. It’s up to you of course. » Posted By Kalima On December 8, 2009 @ 4:51 pm Well said nelli, that is exactly who he is and if people don’t like it, they should try to prove him wrong. He knows his facts and is not shy about hitting people over the head with them. » Posted By Kalima On December 8, 2009 @ 3:47 pm No it isn’t. » Posted By Kalima On December 8, 2009 @ 3:21 pmComments Posted By Kalima
People come here to get away from all of that, and that is why it won’t be tolerated here.
