I’ve watched her in the past and thought she didn’t look or act like she wanted to win. She certainly wasn’t exciting the base from what I could gather, but really? Brown?

Unfortunately we’ll have to absorb the lesson they’re about to learn.
My only hope is that he’ll screw up so bad, when the elections happen in 2012, people won’t go for the Repubs….

I’m glad I got the news here, I really don’t think I can take hearing all the yada yada about it from all the commentators everywhere.
Has the world gone mad? Can tea bagging porn stars run and win now? What do these people think they are getting into? How is a Republican going to help this country?
Hell I don’t know what to think…maybe I’ll go make some chicken soup!!! I can handle that!

Ok KQ, I do understand all that and completely back you up, but I don’t want to mix up or compare the issues. I do agree with taxing sugar and cigs (I am a smoker) and I’d even go for soft drinks. They are clogging our health care system and marijuana would alleviate some chronic health problems, I guess what I’m trying to say is
Keep your government hands off my marijuana!!
Can I get a big sign that says that??!!!

My biggest concern is Who is going to control this new industry?
They’ve recently increased the price of tobacco and regulated many news rules for companies to operate under, to the detriment of consumers, and, if it’s still classified as a drug, will we be able to “manufacture” it in our homes? or will they regulate and legislate us out of that right too?
I have a lot more questions about this before we just give it up to government controlled marijuana growth and use. Will the cost and tax be so high that not many will be able to purchase it?
I am very interested in this issue and the unseen effect it will have on us.
At the moment, my son owns a hydroponic and garden supply business and is doing very well, so I also wonder how this will effect his “bottom line”….I have my reservations and yet remain hopeful, if only because it may help clear our over extended jails and prisons from people convicted of this victimless “crime”.
I really liked the graphics, but the words are so small. I can’t read what the colors stand for…dang where’s the magnifying glass when you need it!!??

I ALMOST deleted myself. They scrub over half of my comments and the ones they let through just make me look as dumbed down as the rest of their site.

Resolving Differences in House and Senate Health Bills

Wow choicelady, I was moved by this comment. I had consciously put aside my thoughts and knowledge about Jesus for years.
I was raised Catholic, I left at 15, and have always had the mind set of, “leave Jesus out of it”. I felt they had used and abused his life and teachings, I didn’t want to be part of it.
40 odd years later it seems his name is even more used and abused than ever.
But, what you said, or how you said it, allowed me to remember some
Good Vibes about Jesus I’d denied myself for so long…Thank You

I was definitely present for the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake here in CA. What an experience!!!
This quake in Haiti lasted only 35 sec!!!!
