You always get me thinking. » Posted By Hopeington On January 3, 2010 @ 1:00 am The distinction I see missing here is that, while brick, hammers and etc can be used to kill, the intent of their design is being misused if they are used to harm someone, while guns were designed with the specific use of killing and doing harm, therefore they are not being misused, so the argument that, if you banned guns you’d also have to ban everything that can kill, falls flat. » Posted By Hopeington On January 3, 2010 @ 12:50 am Vote Now for PlanetPOV’s Top Posts of 2009! Cheers. » Posted By Hopeington On January 4, 2010 @ 6:56 pm Well that took some time, reading all the things I’d missed. » Posted By Hopeington On January 4, 2010 @ 6:55 pm My prayers are with her, it is incomprehensible and devastating at any age, but one is so fragile at 85. I hope she recovers soon. It’s also very hard of the family members involved, life just seems to stop and the everyday chores get pushed aside and life gets turned upside down, so my prayers are with the family too, that they may find the strength that’s needed to get through this most difficult time. » Posted By Hopeington On January 1, 2010 @ 4:54 pm Dark Matter (WIMPS) the other Holy Grail in Particle Physics This is so OT, but…richmisty is a he??!!! » Posted By Hopeington On January 1, 2010 @ 10:59 pm New Year’s Day Ushers in Marriage Equality I just heard on NPR that CA will recognize your marriage from the states that allow it, as long as the word marriage is not attached to it. Thoroughly enjoyed your New Blood post last week too.
Like Nellie said, Morning Blog all day…I don’t get up early enough for MB so this is perfect!!
Thanks again planet people.
I did check your web site earlier today, some how I didn’t see the etsy link. I just put my things there recently, have you been there long?….and thanks for the heart!!
I have some questions I’d like to ask a “good” Republican, I too hope she returns and this just wasn’t a campaign plug.
Maybe she’ll tell her friends?
I wanted to compliment you this morning on your post and the one on Terrorists.
I started reading and was almost late for work!
You go little Kiwi!!
I don’t think there should be a ban on all guns, but
I really don’t see the need for semi automatic weapons and think the the law that allows the loop holes for sales at gun shows, should be changed.
My friends son was shot a few months ago in the back during a driveby in Oakland.
He’s alive and well, but I have seen first hand the misuse of guns in this country.
I have no solution.
Dang that wasn’t easy, but it was enjoyable.
You too Emerald.
OffTopic, they also banned the use of all trans fats in restaurants.
It’s so easily understood
I was hoping someone would rise to the occasion and want to be as revered as Mr Cronkite, but that was just my wishful thinking.
“Project censored is one of the organizations that we should listen to, to be assured that our newspapers and our broadcast outlets are practicing thorough and ethical journalism.”
Walter Cronkite
Go Walter and Go Nellie
Un(der) Reported News is my favorite.
Something about this whole thing has seemed fishy from the start.
javaz and I have 2 different stories. I wondered if there was a third.
Somewhat of a mystery.
Bash everything Obama, but offer nothing in return? It’s been one of the more frustrating years, how long can they keep this up?
I saw a brief report on the guy in the suit, they did take him in for questioning but it was stated he had nothing to do with anything and they released him…no name was given.
One crazy mo fo. I like the part about Hope money, give it to me…hehheh
And it did significantly beautify my world today to clean the twa-let and do the do on the dishes. Even got to the laundry…the rest can wait, it’s dance night Friday!!
