Nirek – Wish I was in VT with you! Too hot down here.

» Posted By AlphaBitch On July 1, 2013 @ 6:10 am

Clarification: I am NOT in Austin or at the capitol today. I’m here because of work/job and duties in trying to get my last boy here. BUT I have “sources” there and just thought I’d keep you guys posted. This is the same woman who made me PROMISE that I would not hit, punch, spit or pinch during the protests of 2000 when W. v. Gore was still being decided and the Chimp in Chief was strutting around the capitol. She knows me well, and it was hard not to break that promise. I got shouted at and spit on, badges I wear proudly. Along with a severely sprained ankle that I marched on for six solid hours.

So send those hoorahs to those who are showing up. They realize it is likely a losing battle, but they are in for the war, not the fight. – AB

Hi Folks: Just back from Austin, where one of my friends is working with the folks expected to turn out tomorrow. They are anticipating arrests. There is a video to be posted soon of a trooper throwing an older woman up against the wall last week. Things are heating up nicely here in Texas.

On that note – I have it from several people that even DALLAS women (think Big Hair, Republicans) are considering not voting or switching parties in protest. Now THAT’S news!

Love to all from the battleground state. It’s why I am not here on the Planet, but here in 108F weather. – AB

Hey hey hey!! Do not use the word “bitch” in vain, K. He does not deserve such an honor. He is a whiny little turd, nothing more. xo – AB

Hey there Frennies!!! Bestower of tiaras and winner of tiaras…..

Don’t worry about Wendy. Her star is rising, and behind are thousands of strong willed Texas women.

Rick will win his little hissy fit. It’s David Dewhurst (Lt. Gov No Heart) who wants this battle won, fair or not, because he does not want a challenger from the right and will get one if he does not get this through.

The Kochs are spending $8M to defeat or dispirit Battleground TX. good luck, and sorry about your money loss, bozos.

But in the end, I think this one will bite them all in the arse. Women are up in arms, and Pussy Riot is not just a Russian movement, if you get what I mean.

Wendy is smelling like a rose, and Perry smells like something off that heinously named rancheria he claism.

It will take a while, but we are determined and NOT giving up. I never give up, never give in. Sometimes I just have to wait…..

Love to you both. Busy, busy with final child efforts, having too much fun w/ the Pup these days (buying dorm linens etc for his FIRST APARTMENT EFFORT!!!!), and tons other stuff.

I know I owe you both emails, and will try to do them by next weekend. Stay tuned! And fasten your seat belts. It’s going to be a hell of a ride. – AB

WOOT! A big THANK YOU to Wendy (she’ll get a card later) for stopping – for the moment at least – that stupid anti-abortion bill so near and dear to Lt. Gov. No Heart Dewhurst.

And a particular THANK YOU to my fellow good old gals of Texas for standing UP and shouting. Big hair and big mouths, that’s us. We use ’em as we need ’em.

Seriously, “That’s the Way the Girls Are From Texas” – AB

For you, Choice – our own crazy Junior Brown singing “She’s Just Venom Wearing Denim”. DON’T let Kes watch!!!!!! Snake Farm scary but with real pix.

Sorry – don’t know why this didn’t load correctly. Go ahead and google it on the youtubes…..good song for how I’m feeling.

» Posted By AlphaBitch On June 24, 2013 @ 6:47 pm

Choice – and I still believe I should have one – they will rue the day, I feel sure. Except for a few hard core religious ones, every woman I know is up in arms over this. There will be blood, but I’m wondering if it will be the women who are now forced into Dr. Coathanger procedures, or the men who condemned them to this catastrophe. Shame on them all. Pissed off women can hold a good grudge, and I expect they will do so. Will keep you posted.

On happier news, Battleground Texas rocks! The Blov and I were among the close-to-300th deputy voter registrar for this year. Almost all the folks in our class were there because of BGTX. It almost gives me hope.

» Posted By AlphaBitch On June 24, 2013 @ 6:45 pm

Funkman – you simply cannot use the word “long” when referring to Texas men, despite what Gov Goodhair would like you to believe. So it will be the women. But guess what? They will just learn to do without (the men, that is) and thus avoid any possible future abortions. I say we show these bastards what true “Pussy Riot” is all about.

» Posted By AlphaBitch On June 24, 2013 @ 6:40 pm

Don’t know if this will show, but the TX lege is voting on what Bito always called “lady parts” legislation today, and here is a photo of what the capitol looked like: http://instagram.com/p/a6hm-Hk6ni/#

“That’s the way the girls are from Texas….”

Dashing off. Registered voters for Battleground TX yesterday – 11 volunteers and we got dozens of new voters in just an hour – and I mean DOZENS. Woot! Turning Texas blue. P’rhaps they are just tired of the “good old boys” after all……….

Ad: Interesting fact. More people die in car wrecks in Texas each year than civilians dying in Afghanistan. They are the same size, close in population. Yet driving on a road in Texas can be more dangerous. I used that fact – and the statistics on it – with the children. Now, there have been about 14,728 deaths in the last six years in Afghanistan, or about 2,457/year. Texas had 3,050 car fatalities in 2010, and 3,015 in 2011. You are right – life is a risk. How we choose to take that risk is what makes the difference. – AB

No problem, Nirek. I think it helps to hear from everyone individually as well as “we are all here” shout out from the mouthy one! Kes is our resident love. Every good wish shall be cherished, I bet. So good on ya!

» Posted By AlphaBitch On May 12, 2013 @ 11:11 am

Now Frennie – that face lift and lipo is so you will look good in your tiara, right?

In all seriousness, dearly beloved kesmarn – you KNOW that you are always in my thoughts and prayers. Now improved with kneeling and candles!

We all (and I say this for I’m sure everyone) love you here, and wish you a very successful AND speedy recovery. Let someone know if there is anything we can do to help.

With much love (and a chance to steal the tiara) – AB

I knew you would get it, Frennie! And did I mention that Jenn Brown, who is leading the charge, is the SAME Jenn Brown that led Ohio into the light??????? Tied to you more than ever, best frennie.

And the hair on fire goes so nicely with their “pants on fire” attire!

Nyah nyah nyah nyah. Yes, and I’m sure they WILL appeal to their base here in TX. Problem is: that base is shrinking….like the wicked witch when Dorothy hit it with a bucket of water. Now don’t expect a miracle – this will take time – maybe until 2020. But we are persistent and patient, two qualities that will serve us well. Hope and change, baby, hope and change.

» Posted By AlphaBitch On April 14, 2013 @ 8:55 am

Woot. In 78 days, Battleground Texas has more supporters on FB than does the Texas GOP. AND check out this link, with an ominous “warning” to the GOP as to why it is imperative to combat Battleground Texas. Game on. Sorry I’ve been tied up, but just trying to hog tie those greedy b*stards feeding at the trough.

K: as a kitty lover, you will appreciate this one. I found a group of starving kittens when Maggie was letting the IRA guys starve in prison. We gave most of them away, after bottle raising them, but I kept the little Siamese cross. Her name? Bobbie Sands. So that I would NEVER forget Margaret’s meanness. I don’t like the name Margaret now because of her.

Which is precisely why I would love to move to VT! Sanders and Leahy. You win that contest!

Heard Obama’s talk on gun control today – way to go, Mr. President! IMMEDIATELY sent mail to my two redneck Senators, scolding them. I also said that “hope and change” may seem silly to them, but it beats the heck out of “fear and greed”. And I reminded Sen. Corndog about his campaign ad in a fringed leather jacket. Talk about silly……..

DO SOMETHING for Nat’l Action Day. Stand with Joe & Barack and all those moms! Call/write or better yet, FAX. Somebody has to get up and get the damn paper. I know. – AB

Patsy: So if Mitt Romney and Dick Cheney got married and had a baby it would be Lady Barbara Judge??? Wow. That was informative AND creepy. Kudos!

Dear sweet Funk: Your child needs pashto lessons only if going to Afghanistan or Pakistan. That child will need Farsi/Dari for Tehran and some of Afghanistan.

If only I could tell you a TRUE event that is SO offcolor but SO hilariously funny….it stresses the importance of – if you choose to curse at someone in a language other than your own – knowing the exact phrase to use in the non-native language so that you don’t end up the butt of the joke. Maybe some VOX night….

Frennie! OK, now I’m going to tell you the one absolute truth that is the key to all life and happiness:

Republicans – or anyone who votes Republican – are motivated by one of only two emotions: fear, or greed.

I can gin myself up as good as any on fear sometimes (hence my reluctance to fly), but the only person I rely on to do something about it is myself. Scared to fly? Don’t. Think the neighbor next door is either a CIA agent or military survivalist? Call your friend in the FBI and just pass along the information. Clean, simple solutions – AND they show personal responsibility.

I believe that those who vote “that way” are looking to a father figure to take care of them and their perceived needs. Too bad they’ve never met people with REAL needs, for the most part.

Again, I have several hard core Republican friends, whom I love dearly. I will move mountains to help them, and they will do the same for me. We just don’t vote alike. I’m like an Afghan, though, and I can be very very patient in waiting for the opportunity to try and get them to see the truth. First, you need trust. Then all those truthy facts.

Off to work. See you soon (after Tuesday) – AB

Oh KT. I’m so very very sorry to hear about this. I second what Kalima said – it’s never easy to lose anyone we love, especially those young and with a promising future. As far as telling your friends here – the only way I’ve ever found to lessen sadness is by sharing it with people who truly care. And we do. Please take care of yourself too. I’m sorry I’m seldom here, but you are never far from my heart. -AB

» Posted By AlphaBitch On March 6, 2013 @ 8:06 pm

Uh….Funkster – are you “confessing” (note how I worked my Popette creds in here) to enticing children to come “play doctor” in that Kooky Surgical Tent???? I mean, I’m not accusing you of anything like that (Kalima – help me out here. AdLib: you might want to call the FBI), but it’s a little damning that you have “children” and “Kooky Surgical Tent” all in the same sentence. Giving you the bennie of the doubt, (I am Christian, after all) I will forgive you for your incorrect naming of your business and bless you for waving the flag of the Confederacy. I’m sure David Duke’s children/grandchildren are having fun in Uncle Charlie’s Tent! – AB

Congratulations Funk-man! I’m sure that whatever it is that you do, you do it with style and grace! And blessed are the customers, for they shall know your wit. -AB, auditioning for Popette

Murph, Ad et al: I did it. I joined Organizing for Action today, and looking forward to the first event! I recommend it to all. Be the change you want to see. – AB

PS My “issue” will be stopping the gerrymandering, stopping the attempts to suppress the vote (read: steal the election), and working for a just peace in the Middle East. Not much. I mean, I have 4 years, right? Then I’ll be 65 and can retire…..

My first cat was a Siamese kitten named Bingo, born to Empress, who belonged to (but hated) my sister. Empy loved me and I loved her back. I had my most beautiful photo when 4, wearing my red sweater with *real* diamonds and pearls. And clutched in my little Davy Crockett hands was Bingo!

My favorite cat of all times was Alex, my Siamese. He was my very best friend for 8 years. When I married, he resented the Blov horribly and the morning after our first night as a *family*, got up, sat on the vanity while the Blov shaved, and proceeded to piss on his mirror image. I have never laughed so hard. Al would also believe that he turned invisible if he flattened out on the stairs; we would go along with the make believe and ask where he was.

Al travelled to see my parents and my sister; they missed him and would ask HIM to come visit (not me?). He had his own suitcase, full of combs (he was VERY vain) toys, Super Supper and his leash.

I’ve lost other beloved pets – both cats and dogs – but don’t believe I have ever loved another as much as that damned cat, Al. The Blov framed my fave photo of him for me this Christmas; it hangs over my desk. 30 years, and I still miss him. Others (hear that, Blov?) should be so lucky….

PS He was an Applehead (or traditional) Siamese, not the skinny face ones.

Wow, Nirek! How utterly cool. I love Northfield – got there in October and stayed at the Northfield Inn. Love that town, and it makes me want to move to VT!

My husband and I once hung out with a group of wild turkeys here in TX. He named his favorite one “Cranberry”, which I thought was rather cruel.

Say hello to my favorite state for me, will ya?
