Time Out for O/T – Vol. 17

Tee shirt? NO, “government” isn’t the problem. YOU are!!

» Posted By AlphaBitch On September 19, 2011 @ 12:04 pm

Holy Toledo, Kes! What a bunch of pissants.

Hey! I don’t have a corporate jet, nor do I know how to fly one. PLUS I HATE to fly, and it has to be something critical to even get me on a plane. So does that mean I can get some of this dole?????

PS Assad had a hairline FX of his right wrist. He’ll be fine. AS IF he could be any “finer”.

The Blov and I have just written our very first Obama reelection campaign (in our minds, mind you).

Split screen.

Obama smiling and waving on the left.

John of Orange or Touche McDonnell on the right.

Begin: What has really been done for YOU these last three years?

Roll of the accomplishments over Obama’s photo, from Lilly Ledbetter Act to signing of new patent law. Brief scroll of what each means to the average US Americans.

And to be fair, show a scroll of what the Republicans have accomplished to help the average American. *** Crickets**** Anyone?

Tee shirt, Bito!! I’m making up mugs and tee shirts as Christmas gifts; having a blast doing it, and it’s about $16 a mug, with whatever photo and text you want to use. Whoo hoo!!!! I think a REAL photo of the TPers – in their geezer glory – with a “Don’t let this be YOU. Use your brain, don’t steep it in bullshit” might just be the next one I make for politically like minded friends. Ah – a cuppa Joe in that would help on the mornings the Morning Blog cup can’t be found…..

….”pretty much is…..”

Snake farm: “It’s a reptile house.”

Snake farm: eeeuuuwwwww…….

Not the best version, but given my need to tend my boy, I just grabbed the first one available.

I’ll send lyrics this morning. Maybe we could host a sing along to counter that Saving America Prayer Fest?

KES! this one is just for you, hon! There are SOME advantages to living in TX; Ray Wylie is one of them. And I live about 20 minutes from the place featured in this song. Lucky me!

Sue, KT and Kes: Pleased to say I am back home, in a land that is much more fathomable to me than Dallas (even though we have Hagee here – double YUCK, but he keeps on his side of Loopland). i would surely have invited that man in for a swim, Kes, but the hotel was so fancy, it didn’t even have a pool! A steam room and whirlpool, but I figured hotter wouldn’t help.

KT – why are you in Columbus? I propose we pick a place and all move there. Shift the planet, so to speak. Just not Dallas, please!

Sue: I am in total agreement. Dallas has some good food, but it also thinks ever so much higher of itself than does the rest of the Planet!

Thanks for the support. Got back to a bloody and beat up Pup. He fell off his bicycle, a bad wipe out. Bruised and swollen cheek (seeing the school nurse tomorrow to see if it needs xray), sprained wrist and bunged up knee. All on his right side! Poor baby. Needs some mommy love. We bandaged and cleaned and neosporined it all, splinted the wrist. Will let you know, Kes, what transpires after he is looked at by nurse. Afghans are TOUGH. His first comment? “Well, I was so happy it didn’t break my sunglasses!”

Do any of you know or even care that I am here in Beckistan? Yep, that’s right. Here in Dallas, home of George W. and soon to be home to Glenn Vap-O-Rub Beck. I’ve been doing undercover work, walking the mean streets of downtown, getting the lay of the land. All I’ve seen are a lot of what seem to be unhappy, preoccupied suits, and even more poverty stricken homeless. What a kettle! The overly wealthy, next to the guy taking off his too-worn shoes, his holey socks, and cooling his feet in the 107 degree heat in the luxury fountain outside the ta-ta hotel. No talk, no laughter. Oh yeah – talk by the rich guy on his I Phone. The other man seems too tired to even breathe. How can it get any better???

This place is surreal. Of course, Beck will move to Dallas. Makes perfect sense. Robert Tilton, George W. and now Glenny.

Where I live has lots of poverty, many Mexicans and Mexican Americans. But there is talk, and laughter and children and fun. This place is none of that, as far as I can see. Going home today – thanks God!

It’s enough to make me want to convert to Islam. Except I’m not sure I could be as humble and gracious and open hearted as many of the Muslims whom I call friends and/or children. Not all – there are a couple that drive me crazy with their narrow mindedness – but ALMOST all. I’d likely cuss and scream and start some kerfuffle and just reinforce the prejudiced stereotype.

Thanks, Bito, my dear friend. I’m sure there will be Muslims calling for you to be allowed to enter paradise when you cross over – did you know that observant Muslims can name and call up to 10 non-Muslims to join them? I’m told I’m in by my friend from Syria. Now I believe I’ll see you there too. Wherever or whatever “there” is. – AB

Nice list, Adonai! Good photo – similar to “The Thinker”, but we know it’s NOT! HA. The Constipator.

» Posted By AlphaBitch On September 12, 2011 @ 7:12 pm

Ha! So many options….

How about “Fed – Up Yours”

» Posted By AlphaBitch On September 8, 2011 @ 11:56 am

Okay, here’s a game. Let’s subtitle Rick Perry’s book “Fed Up”. My Repub BFF (who very strongly dislikes Perry) just added “….With YOU”.

My subtitle is “Or: Look Ma! No brains!”

Your turn.

HEY BITO! I’d love you even in matching yellow shirts. Or even better, shorts!

Not that there is anything wrong with it, but isn’t it somewhat suspect to wear matching clothes? (And I really DO mean this: I have no problem, but those Conservative Christian, Right Wing Republican, Straight White American Males might)

» Posted By AlphaBitch On September 7, 2011 @ 5:34 am

AND the two guys in matching yellow shirts….musta escaped from Mr. Bachmann’s rehab (er- counseling) clinic.

» Posted By AlphaBitch On September 6, 2011 @ 7:54 pm

Good gravy, Em! I mean, I’ve seen Codger Fests before – but PUH-LEASE!

Kes: Shoot me if I wear red pants. Double wides need to stay in DARK colors. The motto for you, dear red panted lady, is NOT: “If you can’t hide it, decorate it!”

JOIN THE LIVE BLOG TONIGHT: Pres. Obama’s Jobs Speech

Oops! my bad. Bito and I wear matching yellow SHORTS on speech and/or debate nights. At least in my imagination…………

» Posted By AlphaBitch On September 8, 2011 @ 6:38 pm

no frickin’ kiddin’ FoodChain! I swear, I’d go all Kim Jong Il on the GOP arses. But I also look at what happened to Grayson, who tended to act like I wanted. Maybe I’m not the best judge (but try and convince me of that)

» Posted By AlphaBitch On September 8, 2011 @ 5:46 pm

Night, and hugs. made my first donation for reelection; will make more if he keeps this up.

» Posted By AlphaBitch On September 8, 2011 @ 5:27 pm

HA! Delightful, K. I’ll tell the Blov, He and the Pup are cleaning the kitchen; I cooked and we all ate on TV trays like in the 1950s so we could watch. The Pup is taking Speech and really focuses on technique….

» Posted By AlphaBitch On September 8, 2011 @ 5:26 pm

Now if I can just refrain from calling him Sen. Corndog…..

» Posted By AlphaBitch On September 8, 2011 @ 5:23 pm

No, AD – he wants the average American to be the highest paid in the world. Now how can average wages be the highest? Doh!

» Posted By AlphaBitch On September 8, 2011 @ 5:22 pm

The Blov wanted to drop a note to Boehner:

Hey! Whassup with your color? I thought it was my TV, so I adjusted it back until you were orange, then I noticed EVERYONE was orange., Is brown the new normal for you????

» Posted By AlphaBitch On September 8, 2011 @ 5:20 pm

I think I’m damn proud I voted for this man, and am mailing a donation to his reelection tomorrow. Think he’d like that Perry bumper sticker???????

» Posted By AlphaBitch On September 8, 2011 @ 4:47 pm

Already emailed Cornyn. Will send a letter to the local office tomorrow.

» Posted By AlphaBitch On September 8, 2011 @ 4:46 pm
