Donald Trump Claims Jr. is “Fake Son”

Nirek, here’s footage of Trump at a press conference saying just that:

Donald Trump Jr. And The Legality of Attempted Murder

Nirek, good work in writing Rep. Welch! And don’t be too quick to doubt he won’t pass along your request for impeachment hearings to Ryan…who will no doubt choose protecting collusion with Russia than the integrity and laws of the US. That violates his oath of office too, Ryan and McConnell should be impeached as well for betraying their oath and country and putting their ideology and party before both.

So no, I don’t think any of these Repub leaders are politicians who continue running interference for Trump’s betrayal of America to Russia take their oaths or our sovereignty seriously.

They are reminiscent of the Vichy collaborators who were fine working for the Nazis in France as long as it meant they had power and wealth for themselves.

And like Vichy, this Republican/Trump regime will be brought down into ruins that will forever be looked back on with disgust.

If you think that’s stupid, check out this breaking news I just tweeted about a real smoking gun on Trump collusion:

Trump Attacked By Bob The Eagle on The 4th of July!

That’s one lesson that hopefully Americans and others in the world have learned now, there will always be destructive and greedy enemies of the majority of people and what’s best for them. Such evil can never be defeated, just denied victory at a particular time. It is a neverending war that the majority have to always be prepared to fight. As long we’re human, there will always be those who are dangerous and corrupt, uncaring about the lives of others in their quests to gratify themselves and their egos.

When you strip down the mythos around Hitler and describe him more basically as a sociopathic ultra-nationalist who manipulated his citizens’ desperation, fear and hatred with lies and other used propaganda to reshape his country into a dangerous and aggressive dictatorship…you see many other deranged people like him, to one degree or another, constantly throughout history including today in the US, in Russia, North Korea, etc.

Hitler happened to emerge at the time of a perfect storm thanks to The Depression and post-WWI Germany.

But could Putin have been Hitler if they traded places and Hitler be Putin? I can see it. The parallels between Trump and Mussolini have been made, if they traded places in time, could they fill each other’s shoes to a degree?

Mentally damaged people who crave power and superiority will always exist and be a threat to the majority of a country and the world.

The majority must always be vigilant, courageous and prepared too stand up against would-be dictators.

Thanks so much, Kes!

I feel the same way, we do need satire to knock would-be dictators from their pedestals.

I don’t know if anyone could ever top the bravery and power of Chaplin’s satire in “The Great Dictator”. It still is fascinating and powerful to me…and even poignant today, especially his final speech:

Thanks so much, Nirek! It’s funny because it’s true!

Thanks Kalima! It just seemed like it touched all the bases, ridiculing Trump’s retweet of that wrestling/CNN video, Trump actually being such a coward, his fear of Mueller’s investigation and a symbol of our nation and freedom on July 4th attacking Trump.

Had to learn how to do that moving Mueller head in a video pretty quickly too but it’s actually not so difficult.

Very glad you enjoyed it!

The Truth of the GOP Healthcare Bill – Kill The Poor to Profit The Wealthy

Fake Christians who thrive on fake principles, fake outrages and fake news!

» Posted By AdLib On June 29, 2017 @ 10:42 am

gyp46, yes, ironically it is KY, the home state of Mitch McConnell who is leading the effort to kill the poor that is now offering Bible study in public schools…but they are omitting most of the Ten Commandments because they’re fake news, especially, “Thou shalt not kill”.

We are cursed with a continuing caveman/religious-extremist majority in the SCOTUS for the foreseeable future. All the more reason that Trump should motivate people to put Dems back in charge in Congress and the WH to reverse all the madness.

» Posted By AdLib On June 29, 2017 @ 10:40 am

Funk, that would at least have a more logically defensible position but only to a degree. First, the very poor still could be unable even to afford catastrophic insurance that may be affordable to middle class people, not to mention the probable multi-thousands of deductibles they would owe.

Second, hospitals would go bankrupt as tens of millions more would swamp them for conditions that aren’t catastrophic. Also, those with pre-existing conditions could be either ineligible or be forced into catastrophic policies that don’t cover what they suffer from.

And how many millions more Americans would die prematurely and find themselves with severe health conditions because they couldn’t afford to go to the doctor when they could have been treated early.

So yes, while the Repubs could have a more consistent and logical defense for ending all government provided healthcare but catastrophic (wouldn’t that include ending Medicare too?), it would still suffer from the outrageous and inhuman aspects of their current plans. Kicking maybe 100 million Americans off of healthcare (including seniors) and mandating that the over 50% of children in America who get care from Medicaid be left to get catastrophically ill before they can get insured care would still expose this as a deathcare bill.

Logic has never been a defense for Republican legislative cruelty but you’re right,at least what you propose makes some sense in the pursuit of dooming the health and lifespans of much of America.

gyp46, I think these types that claim to be Christian are to Christianity as ISIS is to Islam. They worship the aspect of using religion to dominate others and rally blind followers to empower themselves but they regularly violate core beliefs of that religion.

They are all traitors to their alleged religion and those who follow that religion with genuine faith.

Are Republicans Actually Voting for Single Payer?

Kes, there may be no visual more perfect than leeches with the faces of the Koch brothers. Brilliant!

There are so many horrible ramifications from this Republican crusade to grind most Americans into profit for the wealthy but what you describe is one of the most unrecognized and devastating consequences.

While only 17% of Americans support the House atrocity of a bill, I doubt most Americans understand that the slashing of Medicaid wouldn’t just affect the poor but will undermine the lives of Americans who simply aren’t multi-millionaires and have parents or relatives that need full time care.

Those who know from experience, the necessity and great expense of nursing home care for the elderly and how Medicaid is the only safety net left at that point, know what a burden and struggle life will be for so many lower and middle class families if Medicaid is slashed.

It was like another kick to the gut to see Ossoff lose last night even though the margin still indicates advantages for Dems in 2018. I am tired of consolation prizes in elections. One of my emotional, passing thoughts was, “Fine, let these ignorant Republicans get everything Trump and Repubs want to bury them with, they insist on learning the hard way, let them learn through suffering.”

Of course, my next thought was that I’d never want millions of Americans to have their lives shortened or torn apart by these greedy, vicious bastards in the GOP Congress.

As I mentioned in my post, it is inescapable though, if Republicans succeed in passing their Health Kill Bill it will be a Pyrrhic victory. The destruction they do to the lives of millions will turn back on them. And their oppressive laws will eventually be reversed because of the terrible suffering they will cause…so all of this, the destroying of millions of lives is just to make a profit for a brief period of time for the wealthiest who already have taken so much from the 99%.

It’s inhuman and deranged. I just hope there’s enough of an outcry and protests as soon as this monstrosity of a bill is finally revealed by the OldAge Mutant Nefarious Turtle to stop it in its tracks!

The Media Just Can’t Resist Lapping Up Trump’s Lies

Kalima, it still seems like there’s a kind of shock and disorientation in the country over Trump being in the WH. The immensity of his lying and brashness of his dictatorial bent still seems hard for people to fully accept.

But that acceptance is required. Americans and the MSM need to acknowledge that Trump is indeed a vandal against democracy, he is a compulsive liar with no fixed beliefs, just an underlying motivation of serving his emotional needs to feed his ego. And lying is the handiest tool for that.

I can only imagine how intensely the desire will be in voters in 2020 to cleanse the nation of Trump’s corruption, ugliness and destruction of the office of president.

In the meantime, unless there an impeachment, we have three and a half years left of a demolition derby that continues trashing our government, the GOP and Trump at the same time.

» Posted By AdLib On June 14, 2017 @ 10:07 am

gyp46, when it comes to trying to convince Trump supporters of reality, it is truly a conundrum. However, they only represent a minority of voters so unfortunately, it may be best just to write them off and focus energies on indies and soft Trump supporters.

How the MSM can help restore sanity is by calling things for what they are and affirming that truth and facts do exist and there are n “alternate” ones.

Trump’s lies always need to be called out immediately. Anything that sounds likely to be a lie, like claiming he might have video of Comey’s conversation with him, should be framed as, “Trump’s claim, which sounds more like an empty threat aimed at intimidation than an honest admission.”

Since the odds support that something Trump says is a lie, the MSM should present his statements as likely lies.

In any case, poll numbers show that most Americans recognize Trump is a shameless liar most of the time. What I’d like to see is the MSM catch up with what most Americans already know.

» Posted By AdLib On June 14, 2017 @ 9:57 am

gyp46, I think his lies should be reported but they should be reported as the lies they are. The repetitive hand wringing by MSM pundits over whether obvious lies aren’t lies is the real betrayal of the MSM.

Nearly everything Trump tweets and says has been proven to be a lie. So shouldn’t the MSM take the position of whatever he says to probably be a lie until proven otherwise?

It’s a simple numbers game. If 90% of what Trump says and tweets are lies, shouldn’t each new tweet or comment be placed in the 90% column instead fo the 10% one?

I agree with you that the press shouldn’t hide what’s going on from the public but they have an obligation to represent truth as truth and lies as lies.

Trump Offers to Testify Under Oath Then Asks What an “Oath” Is

Kalima, the unfortunate thing though is that a President can’t be prosecuted for crimes, he can only be impeached and removed from office. So what we would want to hope for is that he is found criminally responsible after being impeached. Than he could go to jail…but I doubt any judge would put an ex-President in prison even for murder.

Trump is cementing his destruction in 2020, he will never get back those swing voters who he’s been alienating since he took office. And personally, I’d rather have him stay in office than be impeached, he’ll only have 38% of voters in 2020 and nothing will be more satisfying than watching him emotionally destroyed by losing re-election and watching Dems re-take Congress and the WH because of him.

» Posted By AdLib On June 13, 2017 @ 11:14 am

Nirek, that is the essence of Trump, lying today to benefit himself right now at the expense of long term damage to himself. Hence, the whole Russia investigation.

A no brainer, Comey may have been self-centered as FBI Director and prone to bade decision making at times but even those who opposed him in his last year never accused him as lying.

Meanwhile, Trump’s daily lies are proven time after time. No question about who’s telling the truth and who isn’t and polls show this very dramatically.

By the time the indictments come down from Mueller, Trump will be buried in his own BS.

What America Has to Fear From Comedians

Kes, right with you on this. Offensive jokes can be just as hurtful as offensive statements and the real problem is what you illustrated, that when one singles out another group to be ridiculed, they lack empathy to imagine, “What if someone said the same about a group I belong to, how would I feel?

And yes, there should never be laws that protect people from getting their feelings hurt (as long as it isn’t bullying or psychological abuse), that’s why we have freedom of speech. If a law was passed that restricted people from offending other people, we would be North Korea.

Neither Griffin or Maher or evil or criminals, they did far less than Fox News does in the first 10 minutes of Fox and Friends every day to offend people.

What should be remembered too is that the public not only likes to see celebrities knocked down, they like to see them get back up in many cases too (OJ Simpson aside).

» Posted By AdLib On June 8, 2017 @ 11:35 pm

jj, agreed, that’s of course part of what I’m also pointing at here, Trump and Repubs gasping and clutching their pearls over comedians messing up…while he is destroying our government, democracy and actual lives.

The latest polls out show Trump nosediving to 34% approval rating so I think it’s looking more likely that the minority of Americans who fell for his crap are becoming smaller by the day.

Yes, too many Americans are too stupid and easily manipulated but Lincoln was right about not being able to fool all the people all the time. Just as we’re seeing in the UK tonight, Trump and the Repubs are going to be brought down in the next elections.

That should really give them something to clutch their pearls over!

What Would Trumptopia Look Like?

Kes, I’ve been watching the second season of The Man in the High Castle and as with the first season, I found myself rooting for the Americans to somehow find their way to the true reality so they can escape the awful nightmare they’re trapped in.

I wonder if someone in another alternate reality is looking at us and rooting for us to escape Trumptopia.

It was a perfect storm that allowed for Trump to be in the WH, a man unfit to run a lemonade stand now running a nation…at least, trying and failing to. The Hateful Know Nothings got the opportunity to slip their candidate into the office and no matter how obviously his failures mount up, they remain blindly devoted to their ID come to life.

But to the majority of America and the world, it is repugnant to have this man child with such a fragile ego throwing his tantrums and displaying his ignorance and crassness daily.

He may be trying to be an isolationist but it’s like the bully nobody invites to parties declaring he won’t go to parties.

As the Russia probe and subsequent indictments drag Trump down into frantic impotence, Trump will become the most reviled president in US history. And think about how crushing a re-election loss will be to someone who lives for his ego to be validated…not to mention how toxic the name “Trump” will be in business circles, including that fraud Ivanka and her corrupt husband, Kushner.

The Man in the White House is a cautionary tale that should be considered when we vote in 2018. Dems had better be motivated to turnout in big numbers to take back one or both houses of Congress to put a check on Trump’s power and in 2020 to send him down to his bunker with his Ivanka Braun to await the troops of prosecutors coming for them.

Wailing Wall Quits After Trump Visit

The Impeachment of Donald J. Trump

Thanks jj!

I would completely support Trump keeping his cell phone while he’s in prison!

DONALD J. TRUMP: Just out-negotiated cellmate, traded Snickers for magic button that opens all prison doors. Huge win! Should be out tonight! MAGA!

KT, Trump doesn’t even know what the word “honor” means. Really! He doesn’t know! He pronounces the “h” and says it as “hone-er”. He says the word sounds like it’s foreign…and it is totally foreign to him.

Democrats Must Shut Down The Senate Until There is an Independent Prosecutor

And he likes to prime his own pump…because only he can find it.

» Posted By AdLib On May 11, 2017 @ 6:17 pm

gyp46, so Trump wants to prime the pump so what comes out will trickle down on the 99%?

Sounds a bit disgusting…and it is!

» Posted By AdLib On May 11, 2017 @ 3:26 pm

Kes, when the first indictments of Flynn, Manafort and Stone come down, I think Repubs will start to drop off the Trump Train. First, they may try too close ranks but as they see Trump’s numbers plummeting and 2018 approaching, they’ll step back from him.

But it will be much too late for them, 2018 should be a huge Dem sweep that drowns the GOP and sets up a disarmed Trump to be crushed in 2020.

» Posted By AdLib On May 11, 2017 @ 1:57 pm

Cheers, Kes!

Bernie touched all the bases in that video. I especially like how he, other Dems and now many in the news don’t hesitate to call Trump a liar.

We’ve had presidents before who lie but we’ve never had a compulsive liar as president. If he can’t be trusted, if everyone close to him lies like him as a requirement to keep their jobs, all should know that anyone or anything connected to him in anyway must be distrusted.

Hence, with the Russia issue and Trump’s fingers in the DoJ and now the FBI (since he picks the new Director), an independent counsel is the only path forward if we want Americans to have confidence in the rule of law.
