Good one. » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 5:18 pm Well, there’s not really A LOT to understand. » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 4:57 pm Close. It’s my own version of a line from the Daily Show’s new book: Earth » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 4:50 pm Communism is a silly concept invented by failed businessmen who wanted to give American college students something to bullshit about while they got stoned. » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 4:47 pm Q: How do you tell the difference between a liberal and a conservative? The conservative will throw out 25 feet of rope and shout “swim for it!” The liberal will toss out 50 feet of rope, drop his own end, and go off to do another good deed. » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 4:40 pm For Pepe and Great Lardini — Canada’s OTHER game and its long love affair with baseball Well now I feel bad. I joke because I am barely coordinated enough to skate in a straight line. Never mind doing that while pushing a tiny puck with a stick past a group of large men looking to knock my head off, and eventually depositing it in a goal, provided I am proficient enough to find a sliver of daylight in between the goalie and the net. I am not. So, yeah, I’m jealous. There. i said it. » Posted By ADONAI On February 19, 2011 @ 12:05 pm They play baseball in Canada too?! Well, I gotta say, I’ve been totally wrong about you guys all this time. I thought the ice never melted long enough to play anything other than hockey, and that was why that terrible sport was your national pass time! (why must I constantly ridicule Canada?) » Posted By ADONAI On February 19, 2011 @ 11:40 am Indeed. It’s one of my biggest problems with the teacher’s union. They make it very difficult to fire any teacher and many awful teachers, especially on the high school level, stay around WAY too long. I understand protecting your people but not to your own detriment. » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 4:35 pm Well, it might not have been basketball season. It’s a state divided by basketball. If you live in Louisville or support the Louisville Cardinals you are at odds with pretty much the rest of the state. GO BIG BLUE! » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 3:12 pm You mean Louisville, Indiana. No one here claims Louisville as a city in Kentucky. 🙂 And yes, Churchill Downs is beautiful. My only regret so far is that I’ve never been there for a race. I gotta get off my ass and go one year. I just really hate going to Louisville. » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 2:50 pm I lived very close to the Kentucky/Virginia border. My grandparents were school teachers and they taught just over the border in Virginia because the pay was much better. From Kindergarten through 7th grade I went to school in Virginia(with one odd stop in Indiana). As I got closer to high school, my grandparents wanted to give me a chance to do extra curricular stuff, like sports, that I rarely had a chance to do, living so far from the school. So I started going to the local school where I lived. I’ll never forget my first day in a Pike County Schools 8th grade science class. The teacher is discussing space and she briefly mentions comets. Something I learned about years ago in class. So, after the discussion she leaves the room to print up some homework. I immediately hear someone say, “What’s a comet?” So, I turn to the person and start to tell them. I notice that half the class is turned to me and I have their undivided attention. At the end, the person asking thwe question says, “Wow! You’re really smart!” At that point, I realized it would be along, long trip til graduation. Full of things I had already learned years before. And since they didn’t believe in advancing children a grade based on accomplishment, I basically gave up on school. You know how much it sucks to find out you’re not just smarter than your classmates but your teachers as well? Me and a friend of mine found a simple answer to a Geometry problem and showed it to our teacher. He wouldn’t accept it for 2 reasons. One, we didn’t show our work. Didn’t need to. WE KNEW THE FUCKING ANSWER! And number two, and worst of all, it didn’t appear that way in his teacher’s book. School is a joke. It’s a system to teach children conformity and to never question authority. To force everyone to think the same and except mediocrity as a possible career. » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 2:02 pm Arianna’s Republican Hattrick (or Toyboy) HA! Loved it. Finally, a piece that speaks to me. » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 5:11 pm I’ll have to watch that for inspiration 🙂 » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 6:01 pm I love those little things. My aunt makes them every year for Christmas. » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 5:59 pm Also good. » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 5:58 pm HA! English food is terrible. » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 5:57 pm I’d go with Rockefeller next. » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 5:55 pm @dimplasm Give me some skis and a pair of oars to attach to each pedal, and I will ride my bike to Maui. Also, some snacks for the journey. Preferably cookies. » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 5:50 pm It is a very nice bike. If I spent as much time on one as you do, I’d want it to be as safe as possible too. » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 5:44 pm » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 5:37 pm HOORAY!!!!!!!!! » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 5:34 pm So, why pose with the bike? Were you selling it? Were you about to make it disappear in some sort of “illusion”? » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 5:33 pm FLCL definitely has my favorite music from any anime I can think of. Always liked the song playing on the closing credits. » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 5:28 pm Me too. Was I the only one who thought Lando Calrisian? » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 5:25 pm Well, I can cover that too. “Me not use condom. Me just want, COOKIE!!!!!” » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 5:19 pm Both excellent choices. » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 5:16 pm Yep. My 3rd, maybe 4th, favorite anime series of all time. » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 5:15 pm It’s infinite. » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 5:13 pm Many have tried! They are all forgotten. » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 5:09 pm For the longest time I thought about changing my name to Cookie Monster, getting a Cookie Monster avatar, and writing all my comments as though Cookie Monster were typing them. “Me no want war in Middle East. Me just want, COOKIE!!!” But how long before that gets old? “Me think tax cut bad for country. And bad for, COOKIES!!!” » Posted By ADONAI On February 18, 2011 @ 5:09 pmComments Posted By ADONAI
