The problem would be getting them away from her afterwards. 🙂 Cats just come in all kinds. I’ve encountered far more distinct personalities in cats than in dogs. I’ve been around cats that will follow you everywhere you go, and cats who won’t have a damn thing to do with you. A dog may bark but usually I can let them sniff my hand and they’re good to go. Most times the cat will size me up then hop away. I find that’s common with a lot of people. I call cats assholes but they’re just different from dogs. We didn’t adopt cats. When you raise a dog from a pup I believe a special bond is formed. Not a greater bond than one could form with a cat but just different. I’ve never trained my dogs to go where I point, but they do almost every time. They know if I’m just going outside or if it’s time for a walk. They can tell when I’m angry without me ever saying a word. And I’ve been around them for so long I pretty much know what they’re thinking all the time. Zarathustra is probably his most famous work. The whole idea of the Ubermensch and the Death of God and all that. He is very much the spiritual successor to Machiavelli. And, usually, the decision on what I’m gonna write is based on whatever I see, hear, or read throughout the week. Most times I have 2 or 3 posts going at one time. Things that interest me. I love theology and history. I write on one post til I’m bored with it and I go to the other one. And so on til they’re done. I think I still have a post or two in pending now that I think about it. I just like to write. I put a lot more of my free time into it then I used to. For this post I had 8 tabs open in my browser and 3 books, including the Bible, open in front of me. But I enjoyed it. Got to read a book I hadn’t read yet so i feel like it was time well spent. Posts on theology usually flow pretty smoothly since I have a great interest in the subject. The problem is trying to put a library’s worth of material into one blog post. But he’s not a politician, so I don’t get that bent out of shape about him. I disagree with him though. This country makes decisions to execute criminals everyday. If I were President, I would have went into Pakistan after his ass 8 years ago. They say the White House told no one in Pakistan because they were afraid of OBL being topped off. Seems like that was the right decision. I think I would have called Musharraf though. Personally. Told him what was about to happen and stress that we will roll until the job is done, then leave. How many countries have to put you on their shit list before you understand? The Tea Party only has one problem, their long term message. The Tea Party may have been the best or worst thing to happen to the country. Besides putting a deep split in the Republican Party, it has given other Americans a blueprint for getting their message and their voice to a national audience. But it has also made certain difficult policy decisions even more difficult by introducing a proxy third party. Not a true third Party. It is still very much influenced by Republicans. The President’s approval rating is at 64% and climbing. Republicans are very much in danger of losing their temporary control of the House. So they’re panicking. The fact they have no viable Presidential candidate and the election season, for all intents and purposes, has started, must be given them daily fits. Everyday they don’t have a counter to Obama for President is another day they lose 1,000 votes to him. Those votes add up quick. So let the commentators comment. Let the pundits….. pun? Let the activists be active. There’s a chance that if you went back 100 years and ate a steak, yo may become violently ill. Perhaps life threatening. You are no longer connected to this world int he past. So it turns on you. Very similar with travel into the future. Advances in medicine and bioengineering could make you obsolete. Maybe any cure for a disease you may have is forgotten, long ago made irrelevant. Or maybe robots run things! Who knows? The majority of surface water is in glaciers and the ice caps but most of the fresh water on Earth is still underground. I think we could make progress a lot quicker on that front than the attempts to change seawater to fresh water, though that field is showing great promise right now too. Scientists are rightfully saying it’s bad but they’re not telling us the whole truth. Many governments are short selling exactly how bad it is right now. Maybe they don’t want to seem like doomsayers. Like you said, it’s always been a tough sell. People are finding themselves to be consistently wrong on how fast the polar ice is melting. It is almost always ahead of their predictions. And , again, world governments short sell it. Areas that maybe saw a drought once a century are seeing them decade after decade. Many scientific think tanks moved on from alternative energy ideas LONG ago. They are working in the fantastical field of “geoengineering” now. Their solutions for reversing climate change are just as ridiculous as they are numerous. National security plans to deal with a post climate change world are being drawn up everyday. ‘Cause it won’t kill us all. We’re not talking about extinction here. We are a very crafty and adaptive species. But it will take time, and in that time many millions, perhaps billions, will die. It’s too late. We must prepare to reap what has been sown. Some future generation will begin the honest work of combating impending climate change, but they will find it was already too late.
