Police seem to be corralling them but not interfering too much. » Posted By ADONAI On September 17, 2011 @ 2:47 pm Apparently backpacks are THE protest item to have. » Posted By ADONAI On September 17, 2011 @ 2:44 pm Some lady is talking into the camera but I can’t hear a word she’s saying. » Posted By ADONAI On September 17, 2011 @ 2:42 pm Yep. they appear to be dispersing the crowd. Quite a lot of people. They may have to get more cops. **EDIT** Hold on. I think they may just be diverting them to a different area. The audio is difficult to hear around the police. » Posted By ADONAI On September 17, 2011 @ 2:40 pm Police just showed up. I think they’re gonna go ahead and deny their Constitutional right to assemble. » Posted By ADONAI On September 17, 2011 @ 2:38 pm has the MSM busted into their weekend block to cover a protest against the people who buy most of their ad time? No they have not. » Posted By ADONAI On September 17, 2011 @ 2:35 pm Indeed Em. all Bubba did was try to give them some info. But people can be dicks. They read something wrong and all of a sudden it’s your fault. » Posted By ADONAI On September 17, 2011 @ 2:32 pm I love that there is an ad at the beginning. “This revolution sponsored by…” » Posted By ADONAI On September 17, 2011 @ 2:29 pm Wow. They were and still are the most feared and respected animals on earth. » Posted By ADONAI On September 16, 2011 @ 2:36 pm You don’t tweet?!!! Well, how will you know what everyone is doing every fucking second of every fucking day?!! » Posted By ADONAI On September 16, 2011 @ 2:26 pm Indeed I do kes. I have faith in the people though. Which is weird. Not too long ago I was the pessimist. But even if you are the last person in the country speaking truth to power, democracy is still alive and the people have a chance. History is full of individuals crying “bullshit” and launching a revolution. » Posted By ADONAI On September 15, 2011 @ 3:08 pm I’ve never disliked them more than right now. They are really walking a dark path. » Posted By ADONAI On September 15, 2011 @ 2:59 pm So the church I went to back home was great. I didn’t attend regularly, my grandparents weren’t overtly religious. They are nice people though. Salt of the earth and all those other cliches. But they had some rules. Women wore skirts. Never pants. That’s about it. They seemed fine with make up. That never seemed weird to me. Does it seem weird to anyone else? Most of them did not have TVs. Didn’t like their kids watching TV. I do get that one. I think a lot of parents today would agree that TV consumption is a problem with their children. I didn’t get to watch a ton of TV as a kid. Not til I was a teenager and I got my own TV in my room. I played outside a lot. I couldn’t completely ban TV but I get it. When I tell people about the TV part it gets some people mad and it reminds me of the Louis C.K. bit. he doesn’t let his kids watch TV either. Cause ti ruins their fucking mind. But people think they’re weird. I don’t. Everyone seemed happy. I rode bikes with their kids and they all seemed cool as hell. No one was telling me about Jesus every 5 minutes. The preacher was so funny. always had a joke. They just had some rules many people might not conform to. Does that make them weird? » Posted By ADONAI On September 15, 2011 @ 2:57 pm Jesus Christ. Half those names are people who helped plan the Iraq Invasion and most of them have friends making money off of it. I bet they don’t want it to go anywhere. » Posted By ADONAI On September 15, 2011 @ 2:10 pm Write Your Rep. https://writerep.house.gov/writerep/welcome.shtml Send a hundred. » Posted By ADONAI On September 15, 2011 @ 2:07 pm The biggest roadblock to the Patriarchy Movement? American women. Already smarter and more aware than men, I don’t see them giving up almost 100 years of bitterly fought for rights to stand in a kitchen and pump babies out. Oh sure, some of them will. Quire a few actually. Enough to matter? i HIGHLY doubt it. » Posted By ADONAI On September 15, 2011 @ 2:04 pm I did not post that one! Holy shit! So sad but so true. NO ONE gives a shit. » Posted By ADONAI On September 15, 2011 @ 1:59 pm Amen. Quit blaming the politicians and do your job as a citizen. If you want something, go get it. Quit waiting for it to be handed to you. And don’t send an e-mail and think you’ve done your part. Send another one. Leave a voicemail message. Go to your statehouse and demand to see your representative. It works. I’ve seen it work. But, again, you have to want it. It’s not a guarantee of victory, but staying silent is a guaranteed defeat. Give your country a little of your time. It has given you so much more. I’m lucky enough to be in a district with a Democratic representative who fully supports the jobs bill. But don’t rest on that laurel. My Senators are iffy on the bill. Enough voices will push them to one side. Or at least that is our hope. You really wanna take the country back? Well, let’s go get it! » Posted By ADONAI On September 15, 2011 @ 1:50 pm Khirad, I did feel bad leaving the nihilists out. » Posted By ADONAI On September 15, 2011 @ 1:38 pm Damn Al, that’s actually a pretty good idea! » Posted By ADONAI On September 15, 2011 @ 1:37 pm New Law Legalizes Brandishing Guns At Head Level http://www.theonion.com/video/new-law-legalizes-brandishing-guns-at-head-level-s,26085/ » Posted By ADONAI On September 14, 2011 @ 10:05 pm That is hilarious. Jesus: I love this guy. He’s a great voice on the network Station Manager: Uh, Jesus. He supports Mormons Jesus:Get him the Hell off my radio station! » Posted By ADONAI On September 14, 2011 @ 8:44 pm Holy shit. I wonder how long til the feds actually do come after him. It did say he’s lawyering up. » Posted By ADONAI On September 14, 2011 @ 8:31 pm I got a few ideas for the Weekend Music Thread if nothing newsworthy pops up this week. Saturday is the 35th anniversary of the unveiling of the first space shuttle, the Enterprise. Maybe something space themed It is also the anniversary of the day the Constitution was signed and we officially became America. It’s the day Keith Moon blew up his drumset on the Smothers Brother’s Show. Which was awesome That’s all.
