Why do white people fear and hate us? Are they so afraid through reading and acquiring knowledge that, as a collective group, we would seek their ultimate destruction? Is this why the country’s history is replete with white violence delivered upon Black people?
We are at war right now and we just lost a major battle. Those intent on crushing our democracy are energized by their coup over the majority and they're frothing at the mouth to build upon it. This is a time for bold statements and rallying cries, for leadership on what specifically we can do now and what we need to do in November and beyond to win this war. This is the time for action.
Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson epitomizes what excellence looks like to the fullest despite all the obstacles placed before her path — stoically facing a gaggle of stupid questions such as when Lindsey Graham asked her to rate her faithfulness.

For some strange reason, police invoke some unwritten rule whenever they encounter a Black man or Woman. The circumstance of the encounter is immaterial. It is as if those who are Black, Brown are instantly dismissed as less-than. Or what I call negation of the concept of being created in the image of God.
Some are saying a failed coup attempt without repercussions is a dress rehearsal. For the moment, it does feel like Trump** may skate on his botched coup. But some things are stirring, which could result in server repercussions for him.
Our democracy has been collapsing under the weight of corruption that accompanies minority rule. The majority should rule and should have their will followed by their representatives. All of the issues listed above are supported by a solid majority of Americans who have been constantly thwarted by the perversion of our elections and government. It is a time for action. It's time to kill the filibuster and do the people's work.
We vehemently bid goodbye to this nightmare of a year, the quarantines, empty shelves of toilet paper, nurses forced to wear garbage bags, and ignorant white people declaring in public places that wearing a mask and sanity is oppression.
