Throughout American history, Republicans have always stood for supporting the goals they speak up for...then attacking any Democrats who accomplish them!

In his slippery slope argument against the ACA, Justice Alito simply asks us to consider all the people who've been bankrupted and have lost their homes having to pay for their own sudden burial and the ongoing costs of remaining dead.

We are at war right now and we just lost a major battle. Those intent on crushing our democracy are energized by their coup over the majority and they're frothing at the mouth to build upon it. This is a time for bold statements and rallying cries, for leadership on what specifically we can do now and what we need to do in November and beyond to win this war. This is the time for action.

We will likely not get a ruling on Aimee Stephens’s case until at least March 2020. Meanwhile, we transgender sit and wait. And we wonder. And we worry. Will the highest court in the land of the free...finally rule that we are full humans? Or will they relegate us to permanent second-class status?

It won't just be civilians defying and challenging Trump and the GOP Congress. The LAPD has already stated that they will not cooperate with Trump's plan to deport up to 3 million undocumented immigrants. Military leaders have vowed not to follow orders that are against the law including Trump's wanting to bring back waterboarding and other torture. And this is just the beginning.

Democrats should threaten to pack the court. And, if McConnell pushes through a new justice and then Joe Biden wins, they should follow through.
