I don't believe we should commit our military to war without first giving a lot of thought and research into why we should or shouldn't put them in harm's way.

Since it is Republican policy to do nothing for America and since Obama is doing something for America...which contradicts their policy, they are seeking to sue him. I believe the charge is "Driving Policy While Democrat...and Black".

McDaniel warned that this is a war, and they will not "surrender". He promised that they (conservatives) will eventually win control of the Republican party and the country. Paraphrasing what the late Maya Angelou once said “ when someone shows you who he is…believe him.”

Americans' current confidence in Congress [7%] is not only the lowest on record, but also the lowest Gallup has recorded for any institution in the 41-year trend.

Unfortunately, Republicans often ONLY focus on what's happening at their own breakfast table, and seem to be incapable to concentrate on any kind of injustice, as soon as it's their NEIGHBOR, rather than a family member, who's suffering from it.

When it started it may have been a good thing. Today, not so much. "The history of lobbying in the United States is a chronicle of the rise of paid advocacy generally by special interests seeking favor in lawmaking bodies such as the United States Congress.

It all comes down to profits for those who have more to gain from war than peace. We have McCain in the Senate who never met a war he didn't like. Why, because he can line his pockets with considerations.

Yes indeed, I have a new plan, for all of you. A plan of hope. A plan of adventure. A plan of such extraordinary magnitude as to take the breath, and challenge the senses, of all who would consider it. A plan to bind our common people in hope, and finally free our conscience for noble purpose.

Bad guys with guns are always on offense and can kill anyone at any time. Good guys with guns are necessarily on defense and rarely in the vicinity of bad guys with guns...and they could only act AFTER the bad guy has pulled out his gun and shot someone. So no, they don't stop the bad guy from killing.

At a time in our nation's history when our Supreme Court has chosen the wealthy to dominate our politics and the press has mostly abandoned their duty to empower the public with truth, how can the people find their way back to a true and responsive democracy?
