We are at war right now and we just lost a major battle. Those intent on crushing our democracy are energized by their coup over the majority and they're frothing at the mouth to build upon it. This is a time for bold statements and rallying cries, for leadership on what specifically we can do now and what we need to do in November and beyond to win this war. This is the time for action.
PlanetPOV is hosting a live chat during tonight's public hearing by The House's 1/6 Committee, at 5:00pm PDT. Everyone is welcome to read along or sign into/create an account to join in. Hope to see you there!
Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson epitomizes what excellence looks like to the fullest despite all the obstacles placed before her path — stoically facing a gaggle of stupid questions such as when Lindsey Graham asked her to rate her faithfulness.
Time to call a death cult for what it is and kick over the propaganda they use to excuse their sociopathy. The Republican Party is Pro-Death and must be stripped of its power to inflict more unnecessary death on innocents.
These renegades were on the path of forming the perfect union for themselves.
Germany has a mixed proportional system, which I wish we had. In your district, in your state, you vote for your preferential candidate first. And then, you vote for your preferred party list preference. As long as a party gets a 5% threshold, they will get seats. Many brave Democrats lost their seats in 2010 for voting for the ACA but in doing so, they saved and helped millions of Americans, past, present and future. What they did was noble and profound, they changed history for the better. Clearly, Manchin and Sinema are not cut from the same cloth but perhaps they can be leveraged to do the right thing and become reluctant heroes in the end despite themselves.
Some are saying a failed coup attempt without repercussions is a dress rehearsal. For the moment, it does feel like Trump** may skate on his botched coup. But some things are stirring, which could result in server repercussions for him.
Our democracy has been collapsing under the weight of corruption that accompanies minority rule. The majority should rule and should have their will followed by their representatives. All of the issues listed above are supported by a solid majority of Americans who have been constantly thwarted by the perversion of our elections and government. It is a time for action. It's time to kill the filibuster and do the people's work.

For Whom The Dell Tolls

Dell and many other corporations are having difficulty dealing with a workforce that is becoming obsolete with the advancement of AI technology, a problem most corporations ignored earlier, believing they have time or that they will always need the level of employees they have to provide the products and services they offer to the general public and their overseas customers.
