Hey TW!

AdLiban hour ago

Hey Ad, so much to talk about so little time.

twilson117

No kidding!

AdLiban hour ago

So much has happened, I had one thing in particular I wanted to bring up tonight, that we talked about last week, and I can’t remember now!

AdLiban hour ago

I have the Medows decision in front of me where he lost his motion to have his case moved to federal court but have yet to read it.

twilson117

Just today, so much happened. I love that Meadows lost his attempt to move from state to fed court. That seemed doomed from the beginning…but MSNBC had plenty of pundits on saying he could prevail.

AdLiban hour ago

Well, you can do what I do, just chalk it up to old age.

twilson117

I read that decision, was just going through the Willis response to Clark’s appeal to have his trial moved to Fed, she destroys him!

AdLiban hour ago

Yes, I read Willis response to Jordan and had to have my hands treated for third degree burns.

twilson117

And how about Willis just crushing Jim Jordan in her response to him?!

AdLiban hour ago

I have yet to read the Clark one

twilson117

YES!!! I told you, I am a huge fan of WIllis and only a bigger fan with each passing day. She and Smith have renewed my faith in the justice system, so proud and grateful for both of them!

AdLiban hour ago

Also, I’m trying to get through the two lawyers article on using section 3 of the 14th to keep Trump off the ballot. Lots to cover.

twilson117

And how about Musk violating the Logan Act and taking action AGAINST Ukraine and the US at Putin’s bidding? Isn’t the word for that, traitor?

AdLiban hour ago

I’ve read some of the writing on the 14th Amendment and only fringe lawyers are arguing against it, plenty of constitutional lawyers are saying it absolutely applies.

AdLib44 minutes ago

Was watching Lawrence last night he had one lawyer on that he always has who thought Willis shouldn

twilson117

Was watching Lawrence who had a lawyer who thought Willis shouldn’t have been so say we say harsh to Jordan

twilson117

So funny how Huckabee, Gaetz, etc. are threatening a violent civil war if Trump is put in prison or pulled off ballots. They woud be cowering in their basements and their MAGA armies would be blown up on Day One by the US Military.

AdLib42 minutes ago

Well the Sec of State in CO was saying she sees this going all the way to SC.

twilson117

So Huckabee and Gaetz want a civil war.

twilson117

TW – Who was Lawrence’s guest? I wholly disagree, when a Rep uses The House for a political witch hunt to obstruct a criminal case against a man who tried to overthrow the country’s democracy, being mealy-mouthed and “diplomatic” with someone committing treason is the path of ignorance.

AdLib40 minutes ago

I forget her name she is always on with Andrew the lawyer everyone has on who was the one of the main lawyers that was part of the special counsel looking into Trump

twilson117

TW – I think she’s right, the CO case should go all the way and it has to be a toss up as to whether the SCOTUS would come down on protecting a traitor who is literally campaigning on continuing to commit a crime by giving aid, comfort and pardons to seditionists. I mean, how much more powerful aid can you give to seditionists than praising them and promising to pardon them?

AdLib37 minutes ago

Huckabee separately said essentially that if they can’t win the next election, they’ll have to go from ballots to bullets. Gaetz threatened that if Trump is imprisoned or taken off ballots, MAGAs will rise up violently in the streets. They did it separately but the same hollow threats coming from both means they are so desperate and have no legit action plan.

AdLib35 minutes ago

Ad I think both are talking out of their buttholes and have no idea what people will do. I think if there is a move to take him off the ballot in full force they will quickly find someone that will replace Trump

twilson117

Ad there is one part of Section three that bothers me, it

twilson117

Damn it I keep hitting return before I finish typing

twilson117

Well, I will never forget one of the prosecutors MSNBC has on all the time declaring the Bill Barr would be a good AG and believes in the law. So I take even the lawyers on MSNBC with a grain of salt. nd this one you mention is 100% wrong in this case. This is what I used to get frustrated with when it came to Dems, when Repubs were pulling guns on them, they’d respond with carefuly crafted, gentle disagreements. Nope, you don’t deal with the ongoing push for the overthrow and abuse of our government with saying you’re “disappointed”.

AdLib32 minutes ago

What I wanted to say is there is a part in section 3 that bothers, me, the part that says or elector of president and vice president, It’s that wording “elector of: that has me wondering.

twilson117

Agreed, they are just pandering to the MAGAs to no doubt beg them for money, those two nutjobs only say things that they think will benefit themselves. They won’t be leading armed mobs into US Army platoons.

AdLib30 minutes ago

You and I looked over that paragraph and discussed it before. Hold on, let me repost it so we can discuss. BTW, CL won’t be here tonight, she emailed me, she can’t see well enough to read Vox but her surgery is coming up in less than 2 weeks and hopefully she’ll be back then.

AdLib29 minutes ago

“No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.”

AdLib28 minutes ago

“or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, “

AdLib28 minutes ago

That section obliterates any concern about “electors”.

AdLib27 minutes ago

Ad if you talk with her again please give her my best, and let her know that I’m deep into the book she suggested Democracy In Chains The Deep History of The Radical Right’s Stealth Plan for America

twilson117

The “or” kills the previous section from being an obstacle to using the 14th against Trump.

AdLib26 minutes ago

I will absolutely share that with her!

AdLib26 minutes ago

Ok that clause is specific to the state electors is that a correct assumption on my part?

twilson117

NOW I remember what I wanted to bring up this week! Those polls we talked about last week from thw WSJ and this week from CNN that claimed the race was tied between Biden and Trump were both exposed as slanted!

AdLib24 minutes ago

This early I don’t think any polls are worth the paper they’re printed on at all.

twilson117

When there’s an “or” in any legal document, it means you can fully ignore the application of what came before the “or” and solely apply what follows it instead. So it is wholly irrelevant to whether someone seeking office in the US violates the 14th. Not a problem at all, absolutely.

AdLib22 minutes ago

The poll that was out last week in the WSJ…was actually done by a guy Trump has paid over $300k to! And the CNN poll this week oversampled Repubs, made them nearly 60% of those polled! Both were 100% bogus!

AdLib21 minutes ago

Well the one thing I know about lawyers clauses are their specialty and they will debate them until the cows come home. And this SC will – in my opinion – will try to use that as justification to throw the case out if it gets to them.

twilson117

I don’t think so. The SCOTUS Fiendish Five may find a reason to throw it out but I am 100% certain it won’t be for that reason. Even a 1st year legal student knows that any term that says “if this “OR that” is the case, it absolutely does not mean both conditions must be met.

AdLib17 minutes ago

But the shining light is there are enough well known legal scholars who agree it can be used and I would guess they would be more than willing to file amicus briefs in support of telling Trump to go pound sand.

twilson117

The SCOTUS Sickos more easily could claim that Trump’s blatant act of giving aid and comfort to seditionists wasn’t “really” giving aid and comfort. Just as dishonest but corrupt cowards like them think they can just hide behind claims of something being “too vague”.

AdLib15 minutes ago

Hey were any of our friends in Florida impacted by the Hurrican?

twilson117

Yes, for that matter, a broad bipartisan group of constitutional lawyers, Dems and Repubs, have already come out and declared that it applies to Trump. Only fringe nutter lawyers on the Right will argue that it doesn’t.

AdLib14 minutes ago

None that I know. Haven’t heard from Harleigh but the story that came out was that the impact was far more tame than expected. But that new hurricaine forming in the Atlantic looks like a monster. It could be on a track heading up your way but too early to tell.

AdLib12 minutes ago

Do you think that Meadows will flip now on Trump in the GA case, now that he’s stuck in state court and either will be grouped with the crooked lawyers in a speedy trial or with Trump in a later one?

AdLib11 minutes ago

We got some rain today and yesterday, I suspect that will be the most server for us as I’m like in the center of the state.

twilson117

Hope so! One report said it could take a higher track through NY and up the coast but they can’t tell yet, it’s too early.

AdLib10 minutes ago

Meadows flipping on Trump?? Like a stack of pancakes.

twilson117

HEH!!!

AdLib10 minutes ago

He’ll spill like cheap maple syrup!

AdLib9 minutes ago

All the way he doesn’t want to go to jail

twilson117

Now that dumbass Navarro he is a total idiot. Found guilty talking about appealing and crying poor mouth at the same time. Trump has forgotten about him just like he did with Michael and Stormy.

twilson117

And Meadows had the best shot at moving from state to fed. Now that he’s lost, I think he knows he’s doomed and so do the others including Trump who were hoping to move their cases. Remember, 5 year minimum sentence for any of them convicted under RICO in GA. Meadows is a coward, he said he did what Trump said because he was afraid of Trump yelling at him! Well, serving 5 years in prison is a lot scarier to him!

AdLib7 minutes ago

I am enjoying that little troll Navarro crying every step of the way, from arrest through conviction! Can’t wait to see him bawling as he’s taken into prison for up to 2 years!

AdLib5 minutes ago

Ad when people yelled at me, you know what I did? I yelled back and I’m talking about people who were my boss.

twilson117

Well he has the next four months to think about everything as he gets sentenced in Jan.

twilson117

Oh, the other great thing about the trials staying in state court…they will be televised! In Fed court, no cameras allowed. But in state court, the ratings will be through the roof on the trials in October and they will be all about the RICO conspiracy Meadows, Trump, etc. are all tied into! The trail may take 4 months so that means all the way through at least February 2024, the crimes of Trump will be all over the media!

AdLib3 minutes ago

TW – Because you’re a man with self-respect. Meadows looks like the sniveling coward he is.

AdLib2 minutes ago

So do you think anyone is going to join us, should I give you a call?

twilson117

Yeah, I don’t understand why the sentencing is so far away from the decision. Why do they need 4 months, do you know?

AdLiba minute ago

I

twilson117

I’ve was wondering that myself. Part of the process I guess.

twilson117

a few seconds ago

That sounds good, heading towards 8pm my time, CL won’t be here and getting late to expect Murph. So yes, we can close up Vox for the night and talk. Give me a call when you’re ready!

AdLibin a few seconds

Will do.

twilson117

in a few seconds
