Vox Populi, our weekly live chat about the week’s events begins tonight at 7:00pm PDT. Hope to see you then! AdLib 3 hours ago

Hey Khirad! AdLib 3 hours ago

Is it legal to hunt bounty hunters in Texas? I still got time, right? Khirad 3 hours ago

I think you can get $10,000 in Bitcoin for doing that. AdLib 3 hours ago

So I can fund my own narco militia? Khirad 3 hours ago

That’s why it’s called, “freedom”. AdLib 3 hours ago

Seriously, am I an hour off? You know he deal, Arizona Khirad 3 hours ago

Jim Jeffries: Freedumb. Khirad 3 hours ago

Yep, just a bit early but no worries. I’ve been thinking of turning back the start time an hour earlier. 10PM start on the East Coast is a bit late. AdLib 3 hours ago

Whatevs, I’m gonna have a cancer stick, and we can commiserate. Khirad 3 hours ago

I notice that when RWs take indefensible stands against meaningful things, they can only mutter, “But freedom!”. AdLib 3 hours ago

See ya in a bit then! Freedom! AdLib 3 hours ago

That’s what Robert E Lee said when he won Afghanistan! Khirad 3 hours ago

I wish I was in the land of opium, good times there are not… AdLib 3 hours ago

Look away, look away, look away Afghanistan. AdLib 3 hours ago

That’s what Darius said – hitoooo Khirad 3 hours ago

If only the generals who lost the Civil War could’ve lost Afghanistan, then we could…uh…what was I talking about? AdLib 3 hours ago

I went off on a long essay length diatribe about the Soviet Union, the British empire and such.I’m fucking with you – I was talking about all those that lost in Afghanistan before Christ was born… Silly me. Khirad 3 hours ago

I would link it but, whilst I am banned again on FB, I’ve got girls … and I’m playing it cool here. Khirad 3 hours ago

The mentality seems to be like, “Okay, all these other invaders throughout history have failed to conquer Afghanistan. They were just quitters! Come on! AdLib 3 hours ago

I tried to copy it here, but it’s worth a post what I wrote. It’s not just the Taliban. I’m talking like 2000 BCE. Khirad 3 hours ago

Fun fact, the spokesmen, and yes men, I can kinda understand. They’re not speaking Pashto, but Dari. Khirad 3 hours ago

Right, the Taliban are a more recent group, different groupings throughout history but the constant you’re pointing out is that the people there have lived for so long under warlords and marauding groups. Since they are so tribal, not surprising that different coming togethers and splitting have happened…but the outsiders who come in to take power always lose. AdLib 3 hours ago

If you get a chance watch the WP on the in the mansion in Kabul. I get it, if they could just not be… the Taliban? Khirad 3 hours ago

As much as I dislike the Taliban, how different are they from Texan politicians? AdLib 3 hours ago

No, I’m saying – and this will shock you, Afghanistan is a construct – of artifical boundaries. Thanks Britain and Russia! Khirad 3 hours ago

Since we’re alone, I’ll accept the hyperbole. Only because Texans don’t know how to throw stones. Khirad 3 hours ago

Yes, that makes perfect sense and is historically accurate. Seperate tribes living where they were suddenly declared by these imperialist nations as a country. AdLib 3 hours ago

Oh, Texas politicians love throwing stones, especially the first one. And they definitely are not without sin. AdLib 3 hours ago

In fact, I expect Abbott to sign a bill bringing back stonings of witches. AdLib 3 hours ago

I got banned from FB for defending hijab. One million Muslim women and they all are forced to wear burqas. I tried reason, … and told a fellow “lib” to fuck off Khirad 3 hours ago

I commented on a Forbes thing talking about Washington ignoring the border citing Cancun Cruz. I informed them Washington borders British Columbia, Canada. Khirad 2 hours ago

So the complainers were saying? AdLib 2 hours ago

Is it me or is the HILL more right wing than I remember? Khirad 2 hours ago

Hey TW1 AdLib 2 hours ago

I meant, “Hey TW!” AdLib 2 hours ago

He AdLib did you get your daughter off to college? twilson117 2 hours ago

The Hill was bought and is now more lie and propaganda spewing then before. AdLib 2 hours ago

So it’s just not just me. The Hill used to have a presence but it might as well be Forbes. Khirad 2 hours ago

*pretence Khirad 2 hours ago

TW – Yep, took her last week. Caught the tail end of the tropical storm/ex-hurricane on Wed when we got in but you know hoe beautiful it was Thurs and Fri. The campus is gorgeous, she couldn’t wait to move in and start her college career. AdLib 2 hours ago

Khirad – I think The Hill is now worse than that. And same story with Politico, both were bought recently by RW entities who are pushing them into propaganda machines. AdLib 2 hours ago

Before you guys get osteoporosis, I’m gonna see if I can get some chicks nekid. I’m. not dead yet. Khirad 2 hours ago

Glad to hear that Ad she will have a great time at the school and getting to learn the area when she gets time. twilson117 2 hours ago

Khirad – Good luck with that! AdLib 2 hours ago

TW – Yes, I kept repeating over and over, as we drove away from the college, drove through the beautiful areas, vistied Walden Pond, how lucky she is to be there. AdLib 2 hours ago

Hope you provided her with some snow gear as it can and will get colder here. twilson117 2 hours ago

A freidn of hers is going to a small school in SC…where Covid vaccinations are in the 40%s. And infections skyrocketing. And no mask or vaccine mandates. I would have been quite worried if she had gone there. At her college, they require vaccinations and do regular testing. AdLib 2 hours ago

For a Republican Baker isn’ t bad. He took the COVID situation serious from the get go. twilson117 2 hours ago

She was told to buy her cold weather clothes out there so she wouldn’t let us get much for her ahead of time. I told her she’d really need boots, she of course, as a teenager, will need to learn the hard and soggy way. AdLib 2 hours ago

As all teenagers do. We have had some mild winters, but we’re do for some really big ones at some point. twilson117 2 hours ago

Agreed, I prefer Dems as Govs but Baker is a MA Repub and has done a good job on Covid. AdLib 2 hours ago

Since I’ve been here it’s been a mix of Repub and Dem’s running the state. twilson117 2 hours ago

She thinks she’s ready for a real cold Winter…oh well, she’s there to get an education and she certainly will. AdLib 2 hours ago

More Repubs as gov. then Dems twilson117 2 hours ago

The weather here in MA can be unpredictiable at times. twilson117 2 hours ago

That was one of the things in my mind when she was being recruited by colleges, I wanted her to be in a good state and city. And she is, a great state and city. Have heard my share of horror stories of kids who didn’t consider the environment they were moving to, just focused on getting a good scholarship and playing for a competitive school. AdLib 2 hours ago

She will adust. twilson117 2 hours ago

Well it’s all about the connections she will make. twilson117 2 hours ago

For example, I’ve heard many stories about athletes who went to Ole Miss on scholarships and because of their athletics…then transferred out after their first year. The campus may have a better environment than the general city and state they’re in but it seeps in. AdLib 2 hours ago

Yes, I saw they had a placement rate of their graduates around 98% which is pretty amazing. Their placement program is pretty amazing. Nearly all students intern at least once, a number intern twice or more. AdLib 2 hours ago

I suspect she will do fine in her classes. Also I believe Bentely puts focus on academics first. twilson117 2 hours ago

What a great college town Boston is. We passed Harvard and BU, Emerson, just the atmosphere of education is remarkable. AdLib 2 hours ago

There are a lot of great schools in this area. In twilson117 2 hours ago

Yes, I didn’t want her to go to a very big university, especially because of the party school issue. Too easy for students to get sidetracked. AdLib 2 hours ago

My wife remarked she wouldn’t mind living there and cgoing back to college. AdLib 2 hours ago

There are a lot of great schools in Boston and outside of Boston. twilson117 2 hours ago

Boston is an expensive city to live in. twilson117 2 hours ago

Yes, my daughter has several friends going to various colleges in Boston. AdLib 2 hours ago

That is a big consideration but being in L.A., it’s not as expensive as where we are. AdLib 2 hours ago

Are you in the city or nearby? AdLib 2 hours ago

I know LA is pretty damn expensive. Boston is getting that way. One of the things about Boston is it’s realtively a small city. twilson117 2 hours ago

No I’m about a little under an hour out, in the western part of the state. Shrewsbury Ma. twilson117 2 hours ago

I rarely go into Boston have no need as everything I need is out this way. twilson117 2 hours ago

LA is getting pretty ridiculous in terms of how expensive some things are. Especially housing. But there are places in CA that are reasonable, aside from the big cities. AdLib 2 hours ago

What’s it like in Shrewsbury? AdLib 2 hours ago

Well, still finiding out, we moved here just about 2 years ago after downsizing. It’s okay. twilson117 2 hours ago

I have to say, I’m not crazy about downtown Boston but once you get out of there, where we toured around was really nice. The smaller villages, forested areas, nature and all and cozy towns. Really enjoyed it; AdLib 2 hours ago

Haven’t gotten out much with the virus and all so still making my way around. twilson117 2 hours ago

Where were you before? AdLib 2 hours ago

We live about 10 mins away in Northboro. It’s were both my kids went to school. twilson117 2 hours ago

Right, that makes sense. We wore N95 masks, which you can get again, in the airports and planes. Wasn’t crazy about flying during this Covid surge but we are vaccinated and had our N95s. AdLib 2 hours ago

Did they like it there? AdLib 2 hours ago

hey Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Hey Angela! AdLib 2 hours ago

Well for the most part. There are some stories I can tell you but you don’t have all night. Put it this way. My daughter was the studious one, my late son was the jock. twilson117 2 hours ago

Hey…have you all heard of a 1982 SCOTUS case called Larkin vs Grendel’s Den?? Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

TW – I think you told me but did they both go to college? AdLib 2 hours ago

Angela – No, what was it about? AdLib 2 hours ago

It is the case that could nail Texas in the ass for it’s bass-ackward abortion law!! Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Ad yes, Daughter went to Alama College In MI, son went to UMass Amherst twilson117 2 hours ago

In the case I cited, which, by the way was argued by Lawrence Tribe, and got an 8-1 ruling… Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Hi all! pinkpantheroz 2 hours ago

Hey PPO! AdLib 2 hours ago

Hey PPO Angela twilson117 2 hours ago

Angela can I find that online? twilson117 2 hours ago

It said that functions normally reserved to the government cannot be delegated to private entities or citizens…such as the Church, in this case, was trying to do to Grendel’s Den in attempting to deny them a liquor license. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Yeah, give you a link in a sec. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Angela – I assume it provides precedent for striking down laws that threaten constitutional rights, even if the state isn’t the party suing? AdLib 2 hours ago

Anyway…the ruling in 1982 in that case can also apply to what Texas is doing now…according to Tribe….as Rachel Maddow was reporting. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

https://supreme.justia.com/cases/federal/us/459/116/ Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

TW – Very cool! Not familiar with Alama but we were looking at U Mass Amherst too. AdLib 2 hours ago

Furious here! 450 cases today, thanks to the GOP-style NSW idiots. they, by the way, are so embattled they have stopped daily pressers! Cowards!! pinkpantheroz 2 hours ago

Alma was a small school and believe or not she selected it for the band uniforms. It’s a story I’ll tell you later. twilson117 2 hours ago

Hey Murph twilson117 2 hours ago

Hello All. MurphTheSurf3 2 hours ago

Hi, Murph! pinkpantheroz 2 hours ago

Angela – That’s fantastic news! I read about the DoJ’s lawsuit and it did refer to precedent that doesn’t insulate the state from constitutional violations when they try to get third parties to enforce them. AdLib 2 hours ago

I am leaving this message at all of my social media sites……9/11/02: The 1st anniversary…… I was in NYC. I live in the midwest but had to be in NJ for a meeting. I decided to travel to Manhattan by rail to be a part of the first memorial. It was an overcast and very foggy day. There was little traffic moving. As I emerged from the subway near the site of the memorial immediately adjacent to the still not completely cleared site of the Twin Towers I could hear ghostly voices saying the names of the those who had literally fallen. The weather conditions and quiet valleys between the skyscrapers had their say that day. So….In memory of the day it happened and in memory of the day that we first gathered to remember. MurphTheSurf3 2 hours ago

Hey Murph! AdLib 2 hours ago

Appellee then sued the License Commission and the Beverages Control Commission in United States District Court. Relief was sought on the grounds that § 16C, on its face and as applied, violated the Equal Protection and Due Process Clauses of the Fourteenth Amendment, the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment, and the Sherman Act. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

PPO – Someone will have to explain to me how RW monsters who are in power think they will benefit by killing off their own voters and harming the lives of everyone including the vaccinated by fighting against masks and vaccines being mandatory. AdLib 2 hours ago

PPO did you say 450 new cases of Covid? twilson117 2 hours ago

TW – Yes, I want to hear about it. AdLib 2 hours ago

AD…the power of confirmation bias at work. MurphTheSurf3 2 hours ago

It is that sad day already here in Australia, Murph. Can’t believe it is 20 years ago. the horror still grabs me. the poor survivors and the families of the victims must dread this. pinkpantheroz 2 hours ago

Sure did, TW! Up from 40 or so 10 days ago! pinkpantheroz 2 hours ago

Ad it doesn’t feel like it was 20 years ago. twilson117 2 hours ago

Speaking of COVID, look what I compiled… Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Angela…good work. MurphTheSurf3 2 hours ago

Ad. Simple. Keep them scared, uneducated, underpaid so they hold grudges, give them slogans flags and a figurehead and they will be like lemmings. pinkpantheroz 2 hours ago

It will likely pass Portland Oregon this coming week, as well as Detroit, MI, and Las Vegas, NV Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Murph you said confirmation bias, I call it just plain stupidity. twilson117 2 hours ago

Oh…you know why Republicans win elections…it is because they are better at tapping into the lizard brain of people. Makes sense, since they are all cold-bloodeed reptiles anyway. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Murph – I was in NYC a year or so after. It was haunting, there were still walls filled with deteriorating photos of the missing and numbers to call. There was still an odor coming from there and I didn’t want to get too close to breathe in toxins. It was traumatic. My wife lived for a while very close to the Twin Towers, I remember taking the elevator up to the observation floor, it was a dizzying site. I can’t imagine the horror for the poor people who were there on that day. AdLib 2 hours ago

I went to the Twin Towers site shortly after it happened…when they still had the beams of light there. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Murhp how does it make sense in any way to not want to take or do something that will save your life because the person suggesting it is a Democrat. twilson117 2 hours ago

Hey CL twilson117 2 hours ago

Evenin’ everyone! choicelady 2 hours ago

Anyway…with the Republicans revealed to be the reptiles they are, I propose the new symbol for the GOP should be a crocodile, not an elephant. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

TW, you are suggesting that RWNJ’s have any sense. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Hey TW. Hi Ad, Angela, MURPH, PPO! and again, TW. choicelady 2 hours ago

They don’t, and there is the fallacy of your argument. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Hey, CL!! Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

PPO….Great wordsmithing….”Keep them scared, uneducated, underpaid so they hold grudges, give them slogans flags and a figurehead and they will be like lemmings.” MurphTheSurf3 2 hours ago

Angela disagree with you on that, symbol should be cockroach. twilson117 2 hours ago

Hi Angela! choicelady 2 hours ago

Exactly, Muprh, PPO…it’s what I just called “tapping in to the lizard brain” Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Murph – But how does confirmation bias help these immoral politicians when they run for re-election? Which is why I assume they’re killing children. Abbot’s and DeathSantis’ polling is plummeting. How does any of this make sense. And a poll came out today showing Biden at 52%, he’s back where he was. So if the plan was to try and destroy Dems in 2022 and Biden in 2024 by spreading Covid, how does that work? AdLib 2 hours ago

The lizard brain does not think…it reacts. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

TW…confirmation bias is particularly powerful among those whose lack of information and attitude regarding inquiry are stunted. MurphTheSurf3 2 hours ago

How is this for stupidity: Our AFL Grand Final (Superbowl) is next Saturday. Here in Victoria it is so popular we get a Public Holiday on the Friday. That is happening this year, even though, due to Covid, the actual game will be held in PERTH, 2,500 miles away!!!! pinkpantheroz 2 hours ago

Murph and TW – that’s boiling it down to essences. Great assessment of the RW. choicelady 2 hours ago

Hi, CL! pinkpantheroz 2 hours ago

Now…I will say something here that some won’t agree with, but I promise you it is true…because I see it and work around it all the time. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Hello Choice…… MurphTheSurf3 2 hours ago

PPO – I never will get past public events that in these days will KILL people. choicelady 2 hours ago

Neither the GOP OR the Dems have any real interest in SOLVING PROBLEMS. They would prefer to let the problems fester and become wedge issues that they can use to drive their voters to the polls mindlessly to vote for them to do….nothing!!! Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Hey PPO and Murph! choicelady 2 hours ago

PPO – I know you’re right about the campaign by RWs to keep people fearful but the only ones they’re really manipulating is a shrinking minority, at least here in the US. I can’t imagine the polls are going up for the awful pols in Australia either. Are they sinking in the polls too? AdLib 2 hours ago

Murph just another way of saying they’re too damn lazy to read anything that offers a different view on the subject. twilson117 2 hours ago

Hey CL! AdLib 2 hours ago

The GOP is just better at tapping into the lizard brain that does not think, but reacts. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Ad…your description of Manhattan very much mirrors mine. St. Paul’s church was ground zero for visual laments of the living seeking the dead. MurphTheSurf3 2 hours ago

And since they are all cold blooded pit vipers, it makes sense they would be better at tapping into the lizard brain. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Ad ! How are…things??? choicelady 2 hours ago

But the Dems do not really have any interest in solving problems either. And here is my proof of this assertion….tell me how often you have seen this… Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

GOP *strips some essential liberty* Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Angela – But this lizard brain exercise makes no sense. Even if indie voters are made more afraid, they can clearly see the perpetrators of Covid spread are Repubs. So why would people turn to Repubs for more death and disease? AdLib 2 hours ago

DEM: Sends an email with a subject line that says “uh oh” and asks for $15! Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

CL – Different now that the not-so-little-one is in college in Boston! AdLib 2 hours ago

Ad, they can’t see it, because they do not think. They REACT. And they are told how to react. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Ad, Lead balloons have more height than their popularity right now, but, as you well know the ‘We always vote this way’ brigade will still be just as dumb as before. pinkpantheroz 2 hours ago

Ad – wow – it must be. Did you have a good trip? choicelady 2 hours ago

Ad…you have to (and I know it hurts) understand the GOP and their voters. THEY DO NOT THINK FOR THEMSELVES. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

THEY HAVE NO CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS WHATSOEVER. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

THEY ARE TOLD WHHAT TO BELIEVE AND WHAT TO THINK, WHAT TO DO AND WHAT TO SAY…AND THEY LIKE IT THAT WAY. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

THEY WANT TO ENFORCE THIS ON THE REST OF US. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

OK, Angela, we get it. pinkpantheroz 2 hours ago

We, who can and DO think for ourselves, are horrified at the idea that they would attempt to do our thinking for us. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

PPO – That AFL Grand Final is just nuts! Also, during lockdown? AdLib 2 hours ago

Angela – I can understand your thinking re. both parties being served by a lack of action in re. to certain issues as the issue feeds energy to their base but I believe the GOP are miles behind the Dems as a Do Nothing Party…they are mired in the politics of separation, anger, fear, hatred and anxiety. MurphTheSurf3 2 hours ago

Once upon a time the GOP were amazingly principled. What the HELL happened to them? choicelady 2 hours ago

Well…you explain to ME what the Equality Act wasn’t passed in 2009 when we had the chance? Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

BECAUSE THE DEMS DID NOT WANT IT PASSED…IT WAS A WEDGE ISSUE TO GET LGBTQ TO RELIABLY VOTE DEM. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Perth hasn’t lockdown, due to low infection rate, hence the game being played over there. But there will be vast parties here, with inevitable consequences pinkpantheroz 2 hours ago

CL I place the fault for the Repubs at Newt’s feet. twilson117 2 hours ago

Angela – who was behind it and what happened because frankly I have NO memory of its being on the floor. choicelady 2 hours ago

Yes, Newt was the beginning. Actually, SAINT RONNIE built the framework, and Newt used it Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

TW – that could be. Reagan has his share, too. choicelady 2 hours ago

CL, it never made it to the floor, because pelosi refused to bring it up in 2009 when we could have passed the fucking thing. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

I could have had basic rights guaranteed for over the last decade but for Nancy Pelosi Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Angela – Completely disagree (respectfully of course). Ask people who have health care because of the ACA, ask people who received extra unemployment pay and could not be evicted during Covid, ask the millions of children who have been lifted out of poverty swiftly by Biden’s and the Dems’ Covid relief. On and on, I can make the case that the “bothsiderism” about Dems and Repubs just isn’t accurate. AdLib 2 hours ago

CL don’t disagree with you on that. twilson117 2 hours ago

Ad…ask any LGBTQ how fucking sick we are of hearing promises that are never delivered on? Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Murph – Yes, we went by St. Paul’s as well. It was so powerful and upsetting, like that whole part of the city was in mourning. AdLib 2 hours ago

The Dems keep prmising and failing to deliver. EVEN WHEN GOP OBSTRUCTION WAS NOT AN ISSUE Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Now, understand this, you all…I am saying these things….AND I AM AN OFFICER OF THE NC DEMOCRATIC PARTY!! Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

PPO – At some point though, when their children are being killed by the people they keep voting for, something’s got to give, don’t you think? AdLib 2 hours ago

I’m telling you….the donor class of the Dem Party DOES NOT want the things the rest of us Dems want! Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

The donor class are the enemies of the Progressives in our Party Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Ad, I’d love to say yes, but time and time again the chance to change comes up, only to be thwarted by the dumbs. pinkpantheroz 2 hours ago

CL – Yep, wonderful trip to Boston. So beautiful in that area, went out to Walden Pond, drove through villages and beautiful countryside. As I told TW, all I could think was how lucky she was to be going to college there. The campus was lovely too. AdLib 2 hours ago

Mom’s birthday was yesterday….her 75th. I wanted to take her to Red Lobster, her favorite restaurant. We had to nix that because of the fucking COVIDIOTS that have to ruin everything. So we had lobster and crab legs at home, but it was not the same. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Angela – you DO understand that corporations cannot donate to individual candidates, and that people can donate up to ONLY $2600? NOBODY can be bought that cheap. choicelady 2 hours ago

CL, you do understand there is NO LIMITS to PAC money?? Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Ad, Fergie’s cousin is Archbishop of St. Georges Antiochian Orthodox Church in Boston. A lovely man. pinkpantheroz 2 hours ago

I was a candidate, I know campign finance laws…and how a lot of pols get around them Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Angela – I know the GOP voters don’t think for themselves but the pols are trying to corrupt elections because they know they represent a shrinking minority. How do they think killing children won’t hurt them enough to lose even in a rigged election? AdLib 2 hours ago

I confess I do not understand the current GOP strategery. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

In 2009 the Equality act was NOT supported by LGBTQ groups other than HRC. Barney Frank backed it and had to redo it. By 2011 we had the Tea Party and Boehner. No way then. So don’t assume it was Pelosi. It was YOUR supposed allies. choicelady 2 hours ago

The closest I can guess is that they are all shouting the loudest about which of them is the most Trumpy….and doing everything they can to prove that they, and they alone…are the most Trumpy. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Angela – if they “get around them it’s fucking illegal. choicelady 2 hours ago

CAn we please stop trampling over old shit? thannks pinkpantheroz 2 hours ago

In much the same way a lot of our side likes to beat their breast about who is the most “woke” Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

Hey PPO – good point. choicelady 2 hours ago

Angela…your anger re. the failure of dems to move measures that they claim are in their wheelhouse is of the same tenor tone heard from blacks and hispanics and native americans whose interests are often espoused by Dems but when it comes to action fall short. I do get it but I also know that the GOP are the outright enemy of those causes and seek to undermine any measure that promotes them….and as you say the place of money in our electoral system is the poison in the well. MurphTheSurf3 2 hours ago

Murph, I know…and that is why I am an Officer of the Dem Party and I vote Dem. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

I am TRYING…as best I can…to chage things from the inside. Angela Bridgman 2 hours ago

But the Dems are not exactly our friends. At least not the Dems that currently pull the strings. Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Murph – Dems would pass all this stuff if we didn’t see sabotage from the Left and Right over it. People have to stop being purists and refusing to vote midterms. choicelady an hour ago

CL…sabotage from the left often comes from miquetoast “moderates” and other bad actors, like Joe Manchin. Angela Bridgman an hour ago

They have a vested interest in problems not being solved…just as the GOP does. Angela Bridgman an hour ago

The difference: GOP uses it to drive people to the polls….Dems use it to drive people to open their fucking wallets. Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Angela – Promises have been kept, not all of them. Gay marriage is here to stay, Dems protect LGBTQ being in the military, the DoJ has taken on bigotry against LGBTQ. Have they done all they’ve promised? I’m sure they haven’t but making blanket statements that aren’t actually true doesn’t make the case. We all want more done on so many issues, we shouldn’t accept half a loaf but we should recognize the things that are accomplished. AdLib an hour ago

Angel – Pelosi IS your friend. Most Dems are. But look at those – Bernie – who think these issues of race, gender are ‘distractions’, and understand THEY don’t vote midterms, and it hands power to the GOP. choicelady an hour ago

Now I have a greater understanding and appreciation for why Washington hated Polticial Parties. twilson117 an hour ago

TW – truth! choicelady an hour ago

No, Pelosi is not my firend. If she was, should would have fucking brought The Equality Act in 2009. Angela Bridgman an hour ago

SHE FAILED. Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Angela…and where you are tends to have the kind of democrat who has often been called moderate but definitely leans away from many progressive measures. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

There is one what you might call flaw in the Democratic Party. It is run by people who disagree with each other – a lot – but still try and work cohesively. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Repeal Citizens United and get back to basics. This is all I’m going to say on this sad day./ pinkpantheroz an hour ago

PPO – What’s the political balance in Australia? WHat percentage do you think are conservative vs. moderate and liberal? AdLib an hour ago

Now it is too late, and never in my lifetime now will I know equality. Thanks, Nancy!! Angela Bridgman an hour ago

YOUR OWN PEOPLE opposed it. ONLY HRC = human rights campaign – supported it. choicelady an hour ago

BULLSHIT Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Nancy didn’t do that. LGBTQ groups did that. Talk to Barney. He was furious. choicelady an hour ago

HRC = Homosexual Rights Campaign. They do not support trans adequately, never have. Angela Bridgman an hour ago

They were the ONLY group supporting that bill. You can’t have it both ways – either no one did or someone did. They DID support it. Nobody else did. choicelady an hour ago

I was an activist when Elizabeth Birth (who I dubbed Lizzy Bitch) was the Chair of HRC…and she was quoted in Bay Windows – “Trans will be included in ENDA over my dead body.” Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Angela – I think a majority of Americans are fed up with the anti-vax lunatics. Glad that Biden is dropping the mandate hammer on so many now. He said it himself, he’s fed up with them. Imagine how much nurses and doctors are upset at this intentional spreading of death by these ignorant and/or hateful people. AdLib an hour ago

The HRC has always been about rights for the LGB and leaving the trans back in the Harvey Milk Days Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Sriously – I don’t care. Go forward and figure out how to get it passed in this thin margin of a Senate. choicelady an hour ago

Ad, Labor (Democratic Party) 55% at present, LNP (‘Liberal’ /National Coaltion) 40% Greens and others 5% But gerrymander and electoral boundary fiddles favor the LNP. pinkpantheroz an hour ago

HRC has ALWAYS actively worked againat full trans rights and inclusion and equality. ALWAYS. Angela Bridgman an hour ago

PPO! Are you telling me that AUSTRALIA gerrymanders????? I am devastated. choicelady an hour ago

I mean…I still do not think ANY OF YOU….can truly understand the depth and breadth of my anger at the way trans have been mistreated by society and by government. Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Sorry folks, too much negativity here. See you all next week. pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Libberty and Justice for all my fucking ass Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Angela, please keep the conversation respectful. AdLib an hour ago

Ad, I am sorry. But I am pissed off. Angela Bridgman an hour ago

I am tired of the issues that impact ME never being resolved. Angela Bridgman an hour ago

PPO and I though gerrymandering was a US Republican exclusive oh my. twilson117 an hour ago

Angela….we must never, ever allow our passions here to drive others away. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Ad, I do not think you can EVER appreciate the level of my anger. Angela Bridgman an hour ago

How would any of you like to be treated as I have for thirty years of your life? Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Angela – I understand but the folks here are sharing their views in good faith, they may disagree but they are all of good faith. AdLib an hour ago

Angela – tell us who does support tans issues in Congress, what party we should look to, cuz other than Dems I’m not seeing it. choicelady an hour ago

I mean…I am just so damn upset. Angela Bridgman an hour ago

I see MILLIONS march for BLM. I see THOUSANDS show up for DACA or the Muslims. I can’t get a HUNDRED people to show up for us trans!! Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Yet they say they care. Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Angela, I have you do not have exclusivity on mistreatment. So please cool it. twilson117 an hour ago

They say 70 percent of Americans support equal rights for trans Angela Bridgman an hour ago

So why don’t I have them? Angela Bridgman an hour ago

TW MY group is the ONLY ONE that nobody seems to care about. Angela Bridgman an hour ago

It was a remarkable week for Biden though, considering the Covid mandates, the DoJ suit against Texas and firing Kellyanne and Spicer. AdLib an hour ago

Yes, Biden has had a heckuva week Angela Bridgman an hour ago

I was so glad when he brought down the mandate hammer Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Angela…what you say is true….I can never fully appreciate/empathize with your experience but I can share in it and I do. I have black friends who sound very much like you, and environmentalists who weep over a dying planet…..AND it is also normal to final isolated and on ones own. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Rant all you like. If you can’t give me some place to agitate, some allies, then I have nothing. EQCA is good on this issue, and my organization stands UP for this in CA. Sorry I can’t help you personally, but I’m not fucking moving to NC just for that. choicelady an hour ago

Angela, I said what I had to say. I’m done so I ask with all respect you take a breath. twilson117 an hour ago

It’s been a rough couple of weeks with Repubs sneaking through all their hateful and murserous policies. We needed this week. AdLib an hour ago

Murph…you don’t get it. Listen VERY CAREFULLY to what I just said… Angela Bridgman an hour ago

MILLINOS march for NLM. THOUSANDS show up for the Muslims and DACA…NOBODY SHOWS UP FOR US!! Angela Bridgman an hour ago

MILLIONS march for BLM, sorry about above typo Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Why SHOULDN’T I feel like nobody cares…when I see that? Angela Bridgman an hour ago

TW, when you send some people to suppot MY GROUP for a change, we can talk. YOU do not belong to a group nobody cares about. Angela Bridgman an hour ago

I DO Angela Bridgman an hour ago

ALL – I have to step in to moderate right now. One thing that undermines discussion (and is against the rules) is getting personal. I have to ask that we return to discussing issues without personal criticisms. AdLib an hour ago

Sorry, Ad. But I am really really really upset. Angela Bridgman an hour ago

I am tired of this life grinding on and on and on and on…and nevcer getting better. They told us “It Gets Better” THEY LIED!! Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Angela I’m not looking to send anybody anywhere. I’m just asking you to take a breath. twilson117 an hour ago

Angela…the minority group to which you belong is really, and truly a minority…and one of the smaller ones…growing support from such a base is very difficult. That is basic human dynamics. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

I recognize that Angela and I value your voice here. It is important though not to vent anger in our conversations. AdLib an hour ago

I’m asking you, TW….TO ACTUALLY HEAR ME FOR ONCE. Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Angela, you’re continuing to make this personal. Please recognize this. AdLib an hour ago

I am TIRED of seeing MILLIONS march for BLM, THOUSANDS march for Muslims and DACA – Seventy percent of people SAYING they support equality for trans…AND NOBODY WILLING TO STEP UP FOR US. Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Okay? Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Angela, I have heard you. You have made it clear. I don’t think I need to say more than that. twilson117 an hour ago

Angela – when your argument is that you are the biggest victim, it will fail. At any given moment, someone is targeted – Muslim 9/11, Sihks for years after, BLACK eternally, now AAPI due to COVID. In all of that were Brandon Teena and may other victims. But you are NOT THE MAIN VICTIMS any more than anyone else. You don’t get to dismiss everyone else. Start with indigenous people, some two spirit, who have been eradicated for 4 centuries. You are NOT the biggest victims. If you cannot generated millions to your side, change your fucking tactics. choicelady an hour ago

TW, it just feels to me…like my minority group….is the one minority group society, collectively, has decided it is still okay to crap on. I am tired of being crappoed on, okay? Does MY group also have to be crapped on for 400 years before someone finally cares? Angela Bridgman an hour ago

There is validity in what you say, CL…BUT EVERYONE ELSE DOES NOT GET TO DISSMISS US TRANS, EITHER!! Yet that is just what they do! Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Angela – You are dominating the conversation and it has become very heated and personal. I have asked you repeatedly to address this but you have continued. Please don’t put me in a position to have to moderate your comments. This forum is for people to have friendly conversations, not personal confrontations. I am asking one more time, please moderate this yourself. AdLib an hour ago

Angela – since EVERY damned year I go to what is both a memorial for trans people and an activist base to get equity, I know it is being DONE. You live in NC for god’s sake. Build a better base. NO ONE can do this for you until trans people do it first. We are here in CA. JOIN IN and build OUT from there. choicelady an hour ago

CL, millions SAY they care, so that they can sound good and have the correct PR. But nobody DOES ANYTHING. Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Angela, yes it does, it will for a long time. But, yelling at us is not going to get you the results and action you need and desire. I believe folks here understand your fustration. twilson117 an hour ago

Angela – DO IT FOR YOURSELVES FIRST. NO BODY is your knight in shining armor until YOU are. choicelady an hour ago

Then ask people to quit challenging me, and for once acknowledge my pain and anger. Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Is it so hard? Angela Bridgman an hour ago

CL, we have TRIED!! For more years than I have been an activist, we have TRIED to get people to care. They won’t. Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Now….can we drop this? Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Since obviously nobody is willing to acknowledge that my pain and anger are valid and justified? Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Angela….I have a friend here in Mo….a woman with daughter who is transitioning to a male identity….this is very hard to do in a state as red as Mo. and in the current climate very hard to even speak about. I, and several others, helped her identify a small private school when her child might thrive. We worked to get tha child admitted and then provided sponsorship for tuition. We did this because we share in the pain and while we could not fully appeciate the pain here we did what we could. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Thank you, Murph. Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Angela – you are on thin ice with me about caring. You have NO idea what I have or have not done. YOU DO NOT LIVE HERE. Take power in your own town first. Or fucking get out and go someplace better. choicelady an hour ago

Angela, you’re not asking for acknowldegement you’re demanding it. twilson117 an hour ago

Yes, let’s please move on. This is not a constructive conversation, we’ve had this exact exchange before, it is counter-productive. So much else going on in the world that we haven’t discussed, let’s move on. AdLib an hour ago

Isn’t that what every other minority group did? They did not get rights and support by asking pretty please, I can tell you that! Angela Bridgman an hour ago

All I want to know is why do I have to live in a goddamn capitalist country full of shitheads? Why did I have to be born an American? Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Angela..welcome….by the way the school is a “Friends Academy” Quaker. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

I mean….we can’t even give a damn about others here and not spread deadly disease for god’s sake Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Angela – I have live in constant fear since 1965 when I was jumped by white guys for being in the wrong neighboryhood w a Black guy. From that point on, I have live in constant upheaval, fear, and turmoil over standing with people in need, TRANS people being ONE of them. And I’m not sitting here begging for adulation and help when I am in this position for issues that I support that ARE NOT MINE., So don’t look for massive sympathy and petting – I do the work, walk the walk. And last time you said to me, “What good does that do ME>” Well – either move to CA or do your own work. I’m doing globally what I can for trans people. You are NOT helping. choicelady an hour ago

Hell, what about that woman in Nebraska deliberately coughing on shoppers just the other day? Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Angela – Look, it is inappropriate for you to hijack this group chat to discuss your personal feelings. People are welcome to talk about anything but dominating the conversation about themselves and their personal feelings undermines this forum. I ask everyone else to refrain from continuing a discussion of this. AdLib an hour ago

CL…excuse me…WHY THE FUCK SHOULS I HAVE TO MOVE…to have basic rights that are SUPPOSED to be accorded me according to the damn Declaration of Independence? Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Where is MY right to Pursuit Of Happiness? Angela Bridgman an hour ago

Understood twilson117 an hour ago

Ad I see we lost CL and PPO twilson117 an hour ago

I’m sorry about this but I’ve had to ban Angela from Vox for the many reasons I mentioned. She disrupted and antagonized and ignored my warnings to cease. AdLib an hour ago

I want to return to 9/11. My little farming association has decided to invite two Afghani families to take up residence in two small homes on members property. They are both rural families and are here because they have family members who worked very closely with U.S. Forces. It is a big move. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

This is the first time I’ve had to do this on Vox, in the 13 years we’ve been doing it. I apologize to all for what happened tonight. AdLib an hour ago

Ad understood. She was getting under my skin and I was hoping I would n’t say something that would get me knocked off twilson117 an hour ago

As to Angela…..not the first time that bridges have been burned. I hope she finds her way back. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Murph she was the same way over at Yabaz twilson117 an hour ago

I have to say, I recognized that this was going to happen tonight and I tried many times to ask her to move on. AdLib an hour ago

Ad I am sure you will reach out to CL and PPO. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Murph – That’s very cool about the Afghan families! AdLib an hour ago

Ad let me apologize for letting my dander get up. twilson117 an hour ago

Murph – Yes, I will let them know what transpired. AdLib an hour ago

One more word about our two Afghani farmers….I misspoke – one farming family and one ranching….this is an exciting venture for us.New ground. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Murph and TW – You two are the best indicators that things have gone too far. You’re both so calm and level headed. I can get very passionate about things. AdLib an hour ago

Murph sounds like you’re having a lot of fun with the change you made. twilson117 an hour ago

TW – You were very tolerant, she was once again venting her anger, which I don’t doubt is valid but was aimed at being disrespectful to kind people here. I can’t tolerate that in this forum. AdLib an hour ago

Ad been called a lot of things level head has never entered the coversation.

twilson117 an hour ago

Ad and TW….Vox is a very good place to spend a nice chunk of time each week and moments like this one are a challenge but one that you, as our leader, have proven can be handled with grace but also with straightforward action. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Murph – Do they like what they see in the US and MO? AdLib an hour ago

PPO you’re back twilson117 an hour ago

Hey PPO – To update you, I have had to ban Angela from Vox for the apparent reasons. AdLib an hour ago

Apologies, folks, but I couldn’t stand the stridency. pinkpantheroz an hour ago

TW – That’s surprising, that’s how you’ve always come off to me. Calm, thoughtful and level headed. It’s definitely meant as a compliment. AdLib an hour ago

TW….the co-op could never have done this….our new group is much more of one mind. Our two black families have had a remarkably positive impact on our operations. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

PPO – I understand. I tried to diffuse it but to no avail. AdLib an hour ago

OK. Sad to have to do that, but I feel she overstepped our values – nay – trampled over them. I wonder how many sites have done the same. pinkpantheroz an hour ago

PPO…..no apology needed…..stepping away is a very appropriate response. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Well all things considered I believe Binden is doing the best he can under the current circumstances. twilson117 an hour ago

PPO the right call twilson117 an hour ago

Murph – Very kind of you. You and everyone else here should know how much I respect free expression and usually will err on the side of allowing a step over the line than having to moderate a member. But when it is proven to be a moot point to get someone to respect everyone else and the site, moderation is required. AdLib an hour ago

Ad….we have not met them yet….an agency we work with approached us looking for assistance I was gob smacked when the group stepped up in a big way. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Oh, so when do they come out, Murph? AdLib an hour ago

Thanks all. Murph, I am in awe of yur group inviting Afghans to settle in your neck of the woods. Congrats to them and you from me. pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Ad you made the right call. I see myself here as your guess and it’s upon me to respect the rules of the house. twilson117 an hour ago

Murph – I’d guess your old co-op will be pleased as punch about the Afghans moving in? AdLib an hour ago

My understanding is that they are still in transit to the U.S. When they get here, they will stay in temporary quarters and the head of each family will travel here to meet us. All of this is a bit in the dark but we are going to give it a go. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Murph I didn’t know better I say you have a bit of the devil in you.

twilson117 an hour ago

Ad….they would be pleased to punch me out…yes. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

The Afghanis…..not white, not christian, not us….not welcome….per the Co-opers…..my response? Not interested in their opinions on the matter. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

TW – I think everyone here, with obvious exceptions, show respect to the site and this chat, like, as you say, it’s being a guest in someone else’s home. I do try to give newer members time to settle in and “get” that we are all like neighbors at a local bar here, we see each other each week and if we disagree, so be it, we’ll still be friendly week after week. Some folks are so locked into “the fight”, they’ll fight with even those who thought they were allies. AdLib an hour ago

TW….yes I have an impish side. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Ad Amen to that. twilson117 an hour ago

Ad…that is a very good description of the dynamics here. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Murph they just don’t get they that Afghans are human too. twilson117 an hour ago

Murph – Of course, hypocrisy isn’t a bug but a feature of the RW Trumpers. They whined about how Biden was leaving the Afghans over there to be attacked by the Taliban but when we bring them here out of harms way, they wail about that and BS about letting terrorists in. AdLib an hour ago

One of the rules I try to live by is this: know who your friends are; know who your enemies are and act to improve your relationships with both. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Ad which is why I’ve taken a break from the news for the past three weeks. twilson117 an hour ago

Did anyone notice the couple hundred Americans who flew out on the first commercial Departure from Kabul? Crickets from Fox and friends. pinkpantheroz 44 minutes ago

Murph – You know that I use that analogy because it has been and will continue to be true, this is a social gathering of friendly and clever people who care about the country and the world and want to discuss issues with thoughtful “neighbors” who feel the same. AdLib 44 minutes ago

PPO It doesn’t surprise me Fox and friends would have nothing to say. It must have been written in their script. twilson117 43 minutes ago

Murph – That is a very wise rule to live by. Hard for me to see though how to improve relationships with hard core Trumpers though, they promote death just to win a political conflict. That’s hard to get over. AdLib 43 minutes ago

I have spoken to the father of one the families via his eldest son who worked as a representative of three small towns in their economic alliance to U.S based aid groups. The young man and his father seem to be very fine people whose lives have been shattered….this will be a challenge for us but a worthy one. MurphTheSurf3 43 minutes ago

Ad, I certainly do not shrink from anyone with an opposing view, provided it is done with the same respect we afford each other. pinkpantheroz 43 minutes ago

PPO recall you saying Murdoch got his wealth from his father. Was his dad an a-hole like he is? twilson117 41 minutes ago

Anyway, I’d better let you all get to bed. A sombre day for you tomorrow. We send love and respect. pinkpantheroz 41 minutes ago

PPO…best to you and fergie…. MurphTheSurf3 40 minutes ago

TW – Same here, I haven’t watched any cable news since the Afghanistan airlift. The BS was flowing everywhere and it just continues. I saw that CNN was attacking Biden for the Covid plan, saying that he wasn’t being kind enough to the hateful anti-vaxxers who are infecting the whole country. And they praised Kim Jong Un for losing weight. WTH? AdLib 40 minutes ago

PPO take care twilson117 40 minutes ago

Cheers to our friends from Oz MurphTheSurf3 40 minutes ago

See you later, PPO. Glad you popped back in. AdLib 40 minutes ago

Murdoch Snr was just as much an ahole as Rupe. Thats where he learned all that shit! pinkpantheroz 40 minutes ago

G’night!

pinkpantheroz 39 minutes ago

Murph – That’s really nice to hear. I would be pleased if they enjoyed their new life here. AdLib 39 minutes ago

PPO thanks take care twilson117 39 minutes ago

So I saw an article that claimed Manchin was finally on board with the voting rights bill they have revised. So what happens with only 50 Dems voting for it? AdLib 38 minutes ago

Ad I figured Biden was going to get it from all sides for a bit. I’m going to give a couple of more weeks before I get back to watching the news by then some things will calm down. twilson117 38 minutes ago

Well, friends…….I wish you a good evening. I am going to a service in the morning on the occasion of the 9/11 event asking for understanding and compassion among nations. MurphTheSurf3 37 minutes ago

Take care Murph. twilson117 37 minutes ago

Murph – Sounds like a meaningful event, all the best! AdLib 37 minutes ago

Ad…the only way the voting rights bill gets through is a carve out in the filibuster rule….I say carve away. MurphTheSurf3 36 minutes ago

See ya next week. MurphTheSurf3 36 minutes ago

TW – I thought Biden would of course get hammered by Fox and the RW but I was kind of shocked how the MSM went after him like hungry wolves. And it didn’t stop even after he oversaw a historic and successful airlift! AdLib 35 minutes ago

I figured MSM would come at him the hardest. It’s about ratings for them as well. twilson117 35 minutes ago

It was a horrible thing that an ISIS-affiliated suicide bomber took the lives of so many good people but that wasn’t the Taliban who did that and Biden didn’t cause that. It’s like they all loved the idea of doing a hit job on Biden to look even handed after all the good press Biden has earned and the bad press Trump earned. AdLib 34 minutes ago

Hey CL! Don’t know if you heard but I had to ban Angela from Vox. AdLib 33 minutes ago

CL you have returned.

twilson117 33 minutes ago

I have this feeling that Biden has been holding back on a number of things to get the infrastructure and budget passed first. But then the rubber really hits the road on voting rights, immigration, other civil rights, and many more social issues. Not to mention, getting more serious about taking down this insurrection movement using the DoJ and courts. AdLib 30 minutes ago

Sorry – cuts too close to the bone, and I needed to leave. Yes, PPO told me on Twitter. I am sorry – sorry for her agony, but NOT sorry she thinks she’s the only victim. She cannot disparage people who are there for her but for others, tool. I’ve dealt with this all week from various people, I’m just DONE. Stalking off is not my usual way, but it was self preservation! Thank you for setting limits, Ad. I appreciate it. choicelady 30 minutes ago

Ad for my money Biden is a decent person. He’s a poltician which means he will always have is finger to the wind. But the situation he was given was a no win no matter what he did. So for all of those who are yelling about the pull out, they need to consider this question a friend suggested to me, ask all the media people whose child would you send over next? twilson117 30 minutes ago

And getting rid of DeJoy! AdLib 29 minutes ago

TW and Ad – decency is THE critical issue. Ad I learned that ONE new appointee doesn’t want to fire DeJoy, but another vacancy is up very soon – and then we can. I need to go. Thank you for being stalwarts. I’m off next week, but back the week after. See you then. choicelady 28 minutes ago

CL – That is one of the big issues I had with that discussion. One need not denigrate others who have and are suffering from oppression in order to make a valid point about their own struggles with oppression. AdLib 28 minutes ago

Well I can’t wait to read when DeJoy is fired. Why is the commission taking so long? twilson117 27 minutes ago

TW – Imagine Biden did nothing and that same suicide bomber killed innocent people and sodiers on that same day as the war continued. Then what? AdLib 27 minutes ago

Ad exactly. He would have been raked over the coals no matter what. twilson117 26 minutes ago

As CL mentioned above, one of the “Dems” on the commission has actually been bribed by DeJoy and won’t support getting rid of him. But another vacancy is coming up and Biden can just fire that guy or any others on the board to get this done. I think he doesn’t want to do that until the infrastructure bills pass. AdLib 25 minutes ago

Ad what irks me about the Afghan situation, is Trump** laid that stink bomb and called it a great victory. Then ran away from it. twilson117 24 minutes ago

Soldiers have been dying in Afghanistan for 20 years for a pointless war. What Biden accomplished is that no soldier will die there from now on. AdLib 24 minutes ago

Ad I missed that about the bribe. twilson117 23 minutes ago

TW – Yep, Trump tried to sabotage so many things so Biden would fail when he came in. Including Covid and Afghanistan. But Biden has prevailed despite all of that. AdLib 23 minutes ago

Ad the difference from a real politician and a failed con artist. twilson117 22 minutes ago

From MSN: “Rachel Maddow shares new reporting by the Washington Post that Postmaster General Louis DeJoy bought up to $305,000 worth of bonds from the company where the U.S. Postal Service board chair works. ” AdLib 22 minutes ago

https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/news/louis-dejoy-finance-entanglements-with-supportive-usps-board-member-raise-ethics-questions/vi-AANj1El AdLib 21 minutes ago

And he’s the Dem who won’t fire DeJoy because of this obvious bribe. AdLib 21 minutes ago

Oh well what can you say. twilson117 20 minutes ago

Biden likely doesn’t want to alienate Repubs from voting on the infrastructure bill so he’s sitting back on that but my hope is that once these bills pass, the gloves are off. DeJoy has to go. AdLib 19 minutes ago

You’re probably right removing DeJoy can wait. Getting that infrastructure bill will go a long way toward helping the Dems. twilson117 17 minutes ago

Hey have to go. I will give you a call next week. Give you the load down on how my daughter selected her college. twilson117 16 minutes ago

And the reconciliation bill will be incredible too. AdLib 16 minutes ago

Yes, look forward to that! Have a great weekend! AdLib 16 minutes ago

Take care. twilson117 16 minutes ago

Thanks! You too! AdLib 15 minutes ago
