This week, the SCOTUS spanked the Loser-In-Chief and his last, best effort to replace our democracy with fascism. All states have certified their elections and chosen their electors who will vote this Monday and with 306 of them voting for Joe Biden, this attempted coup by Trump is over. It doesn’t mean Trump will stop his propaganda war on America and its democracy (or stop fraudulently squeezing his cult followers for millions more) but all possible legal paths for Trump to overthrow our elections will end (there will be some monkey business on Congress confirming the electoral vote but it offers no path for Trump to steal the presidency).
So this weekend’s music theme is about beginnings and endings, starting and stopping, going and being gone.
