January 4, 2020, the fourth day of the new year and decade. What could possibly go wrong?

Well, with Trump* all things are indeed possible. He is well on to his way of doubling the total amount of lies he has told thus far. Also, he is sure to surpass the amount of time Obama played golf. To date, it’s cost the taxpayers (that’s us) north of $118 million and growing.

What was it he said about Obama playing golf, and what he would do if elected? Something about how he would spend all his time in the White House doing the business of the people. I don’t know about you, but it seems that spending $118 million of our money to play golf is not doing the will of the people. Let alone working hard.

To think that some want four more years of his lunacy is incomprehensible. Especially when you consider those men and women who profess belief in the tenets of the Constitution but willingly bow to Trump’s* demands of total loyalty, it is immoral and criminal. As distasteful their behavior is, it’s good to see them reveal their true colors. Showing they care more about the perks and prestige of the office than their responsibility to the oath they took and to the people who put them in that congressional or senate seat.

For a long time, I rejected the concept of term limits. But now, with this infested corrupt administration, I see the logic behind the push. Federalist 72 provides a level of clarity: Federalist 72

An avaricious man filling the office, who knows when he must give up the benefits he enjoys, could not easily resist the temptation to make the best use of the opportunity he enjoyed while it lasted. He might not hesitate to use the most corrupt methods to make the harvest as abundant as it was transitory.”

Some have referenced the above as the reason for impeaching Trump. I would agree. Trump’s actions demonstrate he will do anything to stay in office. And so will those lickspittles, who believe he is God’s chosen one and so they prostrate themselves before him with fervent hopes of keeping their Senate or Congressional seat. Not out of any sense of duty, but, as a friend tells me, ‘so that they can continue to feed at the trough.

This flackery only encourages Trump*. He believes he can do no wrong, everything he says and does, to use his favorite word, is perfect, and “his article II powers” allow him to do anything he wants.

When he is at Mar A Largo, people walk up to him, thanking him, praising him for all he is doing. Thanking him for a wall he said Mexico would pay for but has yet to sent one peso. Where are the pesos?

They praise him for his stance on immigration. If you call separating parents from their children while losing them because of his administration’s inability to develop a process to keep track of those in their custody. But in reality, they just don’t care. They turn a blind eye as his administration allows the stealing of newborns from their mothers placing them in foster homes while processing their mothers for deportation.

Only those who are in favor of having Stephen Miller his resident White Supremacist who is the reincarnation of Josef Gobbles or at least his doppelganger, believe in these policies and practices because they too subscribe to the concept of displacement. The fear that their past deeds will come due. So the elite obliquely supports his racist polices while to more radical, AKA Miller is outright in your face on their goal to keep non-white people out of the country or in cages.

So, the well-to-do Mar A Largo suck-ups, slap him on the back, smile at him and tell him he’s doing a great job. And they clamor for more tax cuts. As he strolls through his Mar A Largo courtyards, he considers all he hears as conformation his presidency is the greatest this country has ever had. Greater than all he came before him. A delusion dancing in his head he saviors it as one would a $200 bottle of Grand Mariner.

The one skill that Trump truly has is his ability to switch from incubi to succubi as needed when so-called defenders of truth, justice, and the American way, aka members of the GOP, approach for their obligatory demonic lovemaking session, begging him not to tweet about them as they surrender their souls to him just so they can keep their congressional or senate jobs.

We can’t overlook the support he gets from the likes of Franklin Graham who with Rick Perry and all the other evangelicals that believe Trump* was sent by God to do his will here on earth. Well if putting people in cages, losing children because of ineptitude, along with outright stealing newborns is part the Christianity that Graham and his ilk see as the work of Christ and is God’s will. Then damn them to hell and a pox on their houses.

The praise the worship, the kowtowing, flackery of the lickspittles, and jackanapes is sickening. But, to Trump* it’s confirmation he deserves not just a second term but a third because in his swiss cheese mind he’s just so good at his job.

He believes the puffery of Hannity, Limbaugh, Ingraham, Carlson, et al. that he is the greatest President, even greater than Lincoln. It was reported Trump* claimed he had done more for Christianity than Jesus, a report that was not true, yet, you have considered the possibility he may actually believe it.

Trump* sees himself as above all other Presidents. To use another of his favorite words believes he has done great and beautiful things since putting his hand on the Bible and swearing: “… to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

He said it in acceptance speech “he alone can fix it,” and reiterated in that dystopian inaugural set of drivel, about stopping “the American carnage” intimating through his own might and willpower he alone would make things right for this country. It’s a reminder of another individual who, also, believe all he did was through his own will and might. Daniel, chapter 4:29–33, provides us the account.

… As the… As the king was walking on the roof of the royal palace of Babylon, he said, “Is not this the great Babylon I have built as the royal residence, by my mighty power and for the glory of my majesty? Even as the words were on his lips, a voice came from heaven, This is what is decreed for you, King Nebuchadnezzar: Your royal authority has been taken from you.

Immediately what had been said about Nebuchadnezzar was fulfilled. He was driven away from people and ate grass like the ox. His body was drenched with the dew of heaven until his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle and his nails like the claws of a bird.”

You will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals; you will eat grass like the ox. Seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes.

Let’s hope the start of this new decade will not be more of the same. And that November 3, 2020, is the day Trump* is driven away to “live with the wild animals.”
